Jason is amazing! He is such a caring person. I went in there with a very stiff neck, to the point when I have to turn my head I have to turn my upper body. Jason really gave my mobility back to me! It is therapy that does require one to work with Jason. Remember when Jason says "good" that does not mean that you are done, just keep going, he will let you know! read more

I've thrown my back out twice, and the deep, dull pain never left me. In compensating for my back I developed a Baker's cyst behind one kneecap; needling, hot ouch! My doctors treated me, but 'Take two Motrins every 4-6 hours and call me in a couple weeks' became the refrain. Such attitudes prompted me to grit my teeth and bear it, resigned to live with pains that they implied are chimerical. Then I met Jason. He begins each session with a simple question: how are you feeling? Sounds obvious, I know, but he actually listens closely to determine which ache or pain can benefit most from treatment in the time available. This in turn increased my own 'tuning in' to my body, a self-awareness I now realize pain-killers interfered with. Sometimes his sense of what work is best borders on intuitive. I went in with mild back pain and he suddenly asked if I'd had any headaches lately. I realized, yes, I'd suffered one of those low-grade, throbbing, grouchy-mood-inducing headaches for a couple of days without even thinking about it. 30 minutes of massage and it vanished! Disappeared! Jason's nonchalant about it, but I find this downright shocking and sort of magical. Besides the traditional deep tissue massage he also uses Rossiter. This involves being stepped on. But he is so careful and solicitous of your comfort level and pressure threshold, it's not scary at all, and it's very effective. When I need a swift antidote I know with certainty half an hour with Jason will provide results. Pain dissipates and I feel looser and bouncier. No pills! No hot and cold packs, analgesic patches, stupidly-shaped cumbersome massage implements or other such silly accoutrements. He also freely dispenses techniques for home pain relief. The softball works! I always leave Jason's sessions more relaxed, flexible, and optimistic about my body's willingness and ability to heal. read more

Finally getting around to writing this review. Agree with the other posters. Jason is a very cool guy and knowledgeable too. He tries to HEAL you by attacking the underlying knotted tissue or tension that is likely causing that pain or inbalance which can really cascade into various orthopedic issues without it being easily recognized or understood. Sometimes the deep tissue treatment is not pleasant....this is no "fluff and buff" type treatment. But these sessions have helped me both in the immediate sense...you come out feeling so much less tension that it seems weird at first. It's almost like the tension is what is holding us up sometimes. For the longer term, Jason helps you to identify the triggers and then do exercises to relieve that tension at home using simple techniques. Then when things do eventually tighten up again, it's time for another visit. We discussed this also but in most other cultures in the world, regular body work is considered a given but not so much in America. Next time you have nagging pain and discomfort, give Jason a try because the source of your pain may end up being more simple and treatable than you realize. read more

Jason helped me with my posture and back pain. Amazing results after just one session. His Deep Tissue massage is the best I've had.

I bought a Groupon ($30 for 30 minutes). Jason was nice over email during scheduling, but did not give any remind email/call (as every other masseur I've ever used has--hell, even my hairdresser does this). And unfortunately, I must have forgotten to hit save when I set up my iPhone reminder (I'm an assistant for a living and am super anal retentive about setting reminders for myself generally). I never received any communication from Jason over the weekend. Not even a "where are you?" or a "your Groupon is forfeited" email to show that he remembered the appointment himself. When I got to work this morning and saw that I had missed my Saturday appointment, I wrote to Jason asking what could be done. He said he would allow me to again pay the Groupon price again for a new appointment. Perhaps I would have done this if I had any indication whatsoever that he had actually showed up on Saturday, but I do not. And honestly, I am looking for a long-term masseur. I'd rather put that $30 toward trying out a more professional masseur/business that does reminder emails/calls or at least "where the heck were you!?" emails/calls rather than ignoring the client entirely. I hope he enjoys the $30 in place of a potential long-term client. read more

he's got the midas touch. the man is a magician. i've been having major trouble with my shoulder & hip and after only one session i feel a zillion times better. i've seen chiropractors, acupuncturists, masseurs, doctors for steroid injections, taken chinese herbs, and while some of those other treatments did improve my condition - none of them hold a candle to the relief that i experienced with jason. full disclosure: he will dig into the root of the pain and it isn't exactly pleasant in the moment (similar to using a foam roller), but it is SO worth it after. read more

Jason is special, I truly believe it. I am very impressed about his skills and expertise. I am now pain free and feel great again. I was suffering of cervical, neck and back pain for over 6 months. My doctor has been prescribing different painkillers and topical creams but didn't help much. I was desperate to find a solution, and one day I met Jason. After talking to him I decided to do a section. I could not believe it, the following day I was already feeling better. I went back to see him several times till my entire body was finally healed. His deep tissues massages are amazing. I can't describe how good and relaxed your body and mind feel after his massages. Also, I can't even describe how good I feel today, completely pain-free. Thank you so much Jason! read more

I was referred by a co-worker and I'm so thankful he did, Jason has been helping me with muscle aches & pains on my neck & back. He always asks me what I want to work on and he gives me exercises to do at home in order to help me get better. He has a very flexible schedule, I've seen him after work, on Saturdays and even Sundays. He really cares for your well being and truly wants to help you. I have been seeing him for a while and the painful knots on my back are getting better. read more

Jason Lewis (of Warrior Work) is fantastic! I've been working with him for over a year and he has helped me so much. I have severe joint pain, which leads to tendonitis- he is very good at helping my tendons and muscles loosen up. The sessions are short and effective. I think one of my favorite things is that he not only will work on me while I'm there, but he will also give me techniques to do at home that I can do myself. Also, if you think you can't afford it, think again; Jason is very good at working with you and your financial situation. I HIGHLY recommend Warrior Work, it has helped me so much! read more

Jason has made a huge impact on managing and preventing my shoulder and neck pain! 2.5 years ago I was involved in a car accident that left me with serious, chronic pain in my left shoulder, upper back and neck area. After years of physical therapy to rebuild strength and mobility i was able to function, but was still experiencing pain from just normal, daily life function in those areas. In an effort to avoid multiple cortisone injections, I tried acupuncture, chiropractics and then Jason. Jason and his expertise ended up being the best element to help manage my existing pain and prevent further damage. Jason pays close attention to what I'm saying and makes sure my body is responding appropriately to his work. I am routinely impressed at how on point his sessions are, the immediacy in which my pain is relieved and how long lasting the results of each session actually are. If you are looking for legitimate healing through body work, Jason is the best you will find. read more

Just finished my third visit with Jason and had to take a few minutes to post my very first yelp review -- cuz he is so AWESOME!!! For about a month I suffered with constant back and arm pain from muscle/nerve problems. After numerous visits to the doctor I had an assortment of pills and injections but no improvement. Out of sheer desperation (I was willing to try anything) I decided to check out other options and found Warrior Work: since it wasn't far from my home, I thought I had nothing to lose. Jason was kind enough to squeeze me in the same day I called. He spent time discussing my problems and it was immediately clear he knew what he was doing. Not only is he delightful, he told me how I could work on improving between visits and he has significantly helped me -- I am pain free!!! The other thing I appreciate is he never pressured me to keep coming back -- he told me that if I felt it was necessary, just call or email him. Great value for the service provided, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone! read more

I threw my back out playing in an adult softball league. I thought I could just pop a bunch of medication and I'd heal right up. Yeah, maybe 30 years ago. Jason was recommended to me and I finally got around to seeing him, and I'm still kicking myself that I didn't see him sooner! (note- if you kick yourself, he can probably fix that too). I felt better after the first session, and now feel great! Jason wasn't out to get me coming back time and time again. He recognized the problem and fixed it. Very professional, courteous, and direct. Thanks Jason! read more

I came to Jason with a variety of hip, neck, and shoulder issues. Not only do I feel less pain and increased mobility after a session with him, but he teaches you maintenance techniques that you can do at home. My husband and I also attended his workshop that teaches foam roller and therapy ball techniques for releasing pain and tension from head to toe. We go through the routine periodically as a "tune-up." It is so great to have these sessions and tools. Jason's knowledge is extensive and his therapy is precise and gets results. read more
