Office was clean, Dr was polite and professional but wouldn't work on me after assessment and X-rays and suggested I go back to Spine doctor. I asked for a detailed findings to bring to my doctor since he found things my doctor didn't. He gave me a sheet of paper with nothing stating his findings other than not a candidate for decompression therapy. I Left VM's and emailed for findings. I started seeing Dr Shah around the end of my second trimester/ beginning of my third trimester of pregnancy when I started to experience really bad back and neck pain. This is my first pregnancy but I know that seeing him consistently every week has helped me extremely! I'm disappointed with the communication from the office. I haven't been to a chiropractor in about 5 years. I called on Monday (two different times) and couldn't reach anyone so I left a voicemail message. I Didn't receive a call back until Wednesday. Then as I was scheduling the appointment they asked for a credit card. I understand this is their best practice, but I haven't even gone to the clinic nor met with the doctor. To ask for a credit card before this is not realistic. And since I wasn't comfortable with this before I went to the clinic, I couldn't schedule the appointment. I've read the great reviews and saw that Dr. Shah was from the Midwest, but was expecting more from this clinic. read more

Coming from a long history of lower back pain I've had a couple of different chiropractors adjust me with different methods and self help advice however coming to SDARC and being adjusted by both Dr. Al-Ashi and Dr. Shaw, I have to say that their care for patients and their future well being far exceeds that of other chiropractors I've been to. I've known Dr. Shaw for almost a year now and I have to say he is the best at what he does in my experience! They just called and asked me to reschedule my first ever appointment with them because the doctor has a gap in his schedule and it would be hours between his last morning appointment and my afternoon one. I told them due to work and child care the appointment I had was what worked for me. So then the receptionist tried to blame a scheduling error on their part like she hadn't already told me the doctor wanted to not wait around for my appointment. Extremely unprofessional and rude, especially since they are calling day of to ask me to rearrange my schedule based on ether their MD not wanting to wait around or a scheduling error. I will be finding a new place for chiro as this is a horrible first impression. read more

Let me start off by saying if I'm not sitting in an office at a desk all day, I'm probably working out, training some type of sport, out in the water (or snow) - the human body is meant to be used hah! I was looking for a clinic located in Mission Valley so I wouldn't have to go far during work hours and came across SDARC. I've seen both Dr. Alashi and Dr. Shah for my adjustments and the results are amazing! I'm no stranger to Chiropractic care and I'm glad I walked in for a consultation, these guys know their stuff. I came in a few weeks ago with a minor pec/shoulder injury and since then my shoulder is close to 100% recovered thanks to my sessions with Dr. Alashi. I also have constant issues with my hip flexors and he makes sure I walk out tuned up and ready to go! Can't say enough how happy I am for finding a new clinic, oh and the girls at the front desk are the sweetest :) read more

it's not the providers here that are the problem, it's the office staff. the providers are great, but they don't return calls, or more likely they are not getting the messages. Christine in particular seems to do everything possible to interfere with receiving care. She can't bill the right insurance company, so whatever she is telling you about the number of visits that you have or the coverage that you have or don't have, confirm it for yourself, because most likely it's not true. she charged me cash when i had six visits left on my insurance, and i can't get a refund, because no one will return calls. And if you want to get a provider set up on your insurance, good luck with that too. mine got the runaround for six weeks before finally giving up. My insurance company could not get past christine, even tho the provider wanted to move forward. the provider himself didn't bother to return messages, and the office manager is eternally "out sick", so no return messages there either. finally i asked to leave a message for the owner, but was refused and sent again to the out sick office manager that doesn't return calls. my provider is leaving this office due to the problems, and that is the only way he'll ever see me again, unless this office suddenly starts returning calls and getting this mess resolved. good luck to you if your a client here. read more

I have was receiving treatment from Dr. Shah for about 3 years and I must say that he is an AMAZING DOCTOR and has the hands of a GOD!!!! Before receiving treatment from Dr. Shah I worked for a Chiropractor's office for about 4 years therefore, I can tell you who is good and who is bad. Dr. Shah OVERALL is an amazing doctor and I say this because he would always ask me my about my concerns, worked on it and then gave me his opinion on what he believed the real issue was (he was always right btw). Most important he would ask me how I felt after my adjustments. Dr.Shah, didn't make me feel like just another patient....Dr.Shah CARED. Also his staff members are extremely friendly and the office is very clean. For those who care about parking...yes, there is plenty of parking. I know a lot of people do not wish to spend their money on seeing a chiropractor but Dr.Shah is worth every penny. This is my new Dr Office. They seem much more thorough than the last place. They asked to do a urine test last appointment and I honestly thought it was a drug test. Apparently it was to check my liver and kidneys. I am so glad they did this! Some of the meds they have me on have now been changed because of the results. I am really glad they checked it. The thing I do not like to be honest is the bedside manner of the assistants but that could just be personality differences. I have only been here twice, my pain level is still the same, I am hopeful for change. read more
