I feel that people aren't as much of people watchers in this gym and you don't get that overwhelming 'gym anxiety' like other gyms. Everyone seems to mind their own business and aren't busy hovering over machines, pressuring you to finish you your sets faster than you have planned for. The saunas are the biggest difference, I like enjoying the Edmond locations most, N.May and South OkC are so dim lit and cramped, creeky wood, old dial machines, doesn't really feel relaxing or give you enough space to stretch your arms or legs, Edmond's location also has a private tanning room and a kids play place, big wins with those but S. OkC does have a little 'shop' for all of your gym beverage and edible needs, so that's convenient.

When we signed up they waited till the end to say the only way to cancel is to come in and get a form and mail the form to their head office. I wouldn't have signed up if I had known I couldn't just cancel right there. They do it this way to make it difficult and to guarantee they get at-least 1 if not 2 more payments from you while waiting on snail mail and someone to open it and process it. Better to just block future transactions and stay away from gyms with shady practices like this! You should always be able to cancel in the same place you sign up!

I recently transferred to the Yukon location due to proximity to my home. I was gladly commuting to the Edmond location, 30+ minutes, prior to the Yukon location's opening. I have learned & grown so much as an athlete, Mom, Spouse & now Grandparent since joining Prevail. I came to Prevail in search of strength training and an alternative to previous boot camp style training that was causing me pain. I started with the ability to only deadlift 25-30 lbs due to pain. Now I move pain free and can deadlift 225 lbs!! Pain free lifting and strength that carries to my everyday life is priceless! I am forever grateful for what Sean & Dani have built at Prevail. They have given me FREEDOM!!

Sean has partnered with Red Rock Fitness to provide his program to current and new members. Sean's program isn't crossfit, it isn't 'boot camp', it's a total body program that incorporates muscle activation, weight lifting, isometrics, body weight, and a variety of Cardiovascular exercises. Sean classes are designed for any level of fitness; from beginner to advanced, you will find your limit, and Sean will help you push past. Each class has between 10 and 12 participants, so that you will receive proper coaching and technique instruction. I can personally vouch for this program. Under Sean's guidance I have gotten stronger, leaner, and more fit than I've been since I was in the military, over 15 years ago. Come give it a try, you won't be sorry.

My husband and I have been to and even worked at many gyms over our lifetime. But this place literally smells the second you open the door. We have seen ONE cleaning person work the place here and there. Not a team and not a duo or trio. The men's restroom was SO bad my husband (who grew up wrestling, football, gym guy) wouldn't even use the restroom. No TP or paper towels either. He kindly reported it to the front desk and was met with nervous laughter: "well the female restroom is good, I just checked it". What??? Sanitation AT A GYM is pretty important. And with all the Covid variants, ya might wanna hold fast on offering a clean establishment, let alone really clean. All of the front desk empress should be circulating with cleaning products and using them. Management: you should invest in a better circulation system. The temperature and stench in your gym is unreal. The back room was well over 80+ degrees when the mid day sun is beating inside the floor to ceiling g windows. It might be time for new floors and mats because that is where the smell and mold build up as well. We had family members move to the area and check out a few gyms, including this one. They had the same feedback! No way we're they going to join. It's a shame. The lay out and offerings are pretty great! We tried. We should have known better. Canceled after 7 weeks. Although PF doesn't offer the free weights and heavy lifting equipment desired, we will make it work at the clean establishment just down the street. All of the employees are circulating and cleaning, constantly.

We had no…read moreprior experience with working out regularly in a gym nor had we ever heard of CrossFit (which is the type of workout they use ). We quickly fell in love with both the physical challenges, service opportunities and the community and friendships we've made and have been regulars since. I'll break down the rest of the review into numbered sections for those who want more details. 1. Christian - first and foremost, the gym exists as a ministry to share the good news of Jesus Christ. This location is a branch of a gym based in Louisiana. In accordance with this, every workout begins with a 10-15 minute devotional and prayer. You do NOT have to be Christian to attend, anyone is welcome no matter whether you have no faith, another faith, or are against faith. 2. How it works - they offer FREE classes 6 days of the week(closed on Sundays). The gym runs on donations but there is absolutely NO obligation to. For those that do decide to donate regularly, there are 24/7 keys available to come workout anytime but the vast MAJORITY of people come to attend the classes. They also have a moving company(Strongmen Movers) & Christ Fit Thrift Store to support the gym. -9 AM: Monday thru Saturday -5:30 PM: Monday thru Thursday -5 AM: Tuesday & Thursday(most recent offering that began in 2024, there are plans to expand to 4 days at some point) 3. The workouts - they are CrossFit based and the classes last 60-75 minutes and it is a non-intimidating environment. People of all ages, fitness levels, injury history etc. attend and the instructors are very accommodating to tailor the workout to whatever is comfortable for you. They will demonstrate all the movements prior to the start of the workout and also roam around during the workout to provide feedback/adjustments as needed during the workout. There are 3 scaling options that are written for each workout for your current level of fitness. I can attest that many of the CrossFit exercises take months to master and are quite rewarding once they are. If you're interested in finding out more, follow them on social media(Facebook and Instagram) to stay up to date on ongoing events and information in real time!

They teach them before the workout to everyone and then if I have more questions they help me one-on-one to make sure my questions are answered and my form is safe. This gym is donation based only. No one wiped down or cleaned any machine after any use and I never saw an employee clean any piece of equipment. Watched multiple gym goers walk barefoot in and out of the restroom back onto the gym floor. Lastly as the owner is a female you would think she would have taken a comment about a female gym goer not feeling comfortable around certain male gym goers more serious seeing as a few weeks after this a certain old man was texting under aged girls.

I highly do not recommend this gym. I sent the following email and didn't receive a response after…read morea few weeks. This facility is not promoting health, wellness, or safety for their members. Hello: My fiancé and I joined Key Fit Club a few months ago and were aware that the gym was beginning to transition to a new building. After a few particularly negative experiences I wanted to bring a few concerns to your attention. I am regularly observing members misusing equipment and not following a dress code. This is concerning from a health and safety standpoint. Although this is not an uncommon issue and happens at most gyms it is happening consistently enough it should be addressed with specific members to ensure the safety of all members. Members are not adhering to a basic dress code by not wearing shoes and socks and even taking off their shirt while working out. Specifically, members are walking to and from the bathroom and throughout the training area as well as training without socks or shoes. Unfortunately, I have witnessed gym employees misusing equipment and removing their shoes and socks to exercise as well. This is particularly concerning because of the standard that these behaviors set for other gym members to not use the facility in a safe and appropriate manner. There are regularly members of the gym using the facility while they are noticeably high. This is prevalent on weekdays between 5:00pm and 7:00pm and obvious due to the potent smell. I do not feel it is appropriate for this to be tolerated because of the overwhelming smell it causes in the gym. I am also concerned that this is happening while there are children's classes happening in the gymnastics gym next door. Due to the above concerns: improper use of equipment, lack of dress code, and marijuana use I do not feel like Key Fit Club is promoting a safe and healthy gym environment particularly for females. The gym should be a safe place for individuals to work towards their goals. My personal training has been disrupted and I have been distracted from my goals due to the above referenced issues I have experienced. I have become uncomfortable being at the gym without my fiancé or a friend there with me because of the actions of other members. I have experienced harassment in a gym setting before and believe the environment that is being cultivated at Key Fit Club is promoting gym harassment and gym intimidation. I understand the gym is in the process of transitioning and moving locations. When we joined, we knew we would need to exercise some grace for the transition process. I would like to see these issues addressed and changes made moving forward in the current and new facilities. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to discuss this further. I look forward to hearing from you about how you plan to improve the member experience at Key Fit Club.
