I had a very disappointing experience at this European Wax Center…read more My appointment was at 12:30 p.m. I arrived early after parking and paying the meter. I was told the store was on break until 12:30. I politely asked if I could wait inside since I had already paid for parking, but my question was ignored. A few minutes later, another customer arrived and was warmly told she could wait inside until her appointment. When it was time for my appointment, several other names were called before mine, despite my having been waiting since noon. At checkout, I expected the advertised first-time guest pricing based on how my appointment was booked. Instead, I was told I had to pay full price because it was considered my second visit. When I asked what the total was, my question was not answered. I was simply asked for my ZIP code and told to tap my card. I only saw the total after the transaction had already been processed. After leaving, I realized I had never been offered a receipt, so I went back inside to request one. When I returned, I could hear the front desk discussing me with the esthetician, including asking whether I had left a tip and how much it was. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, the conversation focused on my gratuity. I asked another esthetician if she could please ask them to stop talking about me because I had a question. Her response was, "What are you going to do about it?" I was shocked by how unprofessional that interaction was. The waxing service itself was fine, but the customer service experience was not. From the confusing checkout process and lack of price transparency to the way my concerns were handled afterward, I left feeling dismissed and disrespected. I will not be returning and hope management reviews the professionalism of the staff and the checkout process.

She's a large iced coffee Dunkin Donuts kind of a girl; this is going to go very well. Upon entering MoSa Spa, the overall decor is extremely relaxing, immaculately clean, and welcoming. The zen and serenity hit me like a wrecking ball. The music playing lightly in the background got me in the mood; I was ready to get the kinks out. My hour long deep tissue massage went by super fast, sadly. Lisette listened to when I asked to lighten up on the pressure, and she really had a very rhythmic way of making sure each side was massaged equally, and with the same techniques. Like she said, the pain should be a good pain, and not a bad one. Every now and then, I could feed she was using two finger predominately to work out the muscle, and it felt super intense, but then the pain went away. My shoulders are definitely better and I have better mobility too! The massage room was very nice and relaxing; gave me a bit of an ocean front house weekend escape. Super convenient location and walking distance to the nearest bus stop!

To add insult.to injury she had the audacity to charge me a cancellation fee. I live in East NY and work in the Upper East Side my commute was 6 trains just to get there and there is no grace time or period. This is completely unacceptable we live in NYC and do not control the trains. I've never been late in the past and I've been coming here for months. Attached is the conversation after, completely dismissive and with no regard. Just warning others. Revising this review to state again I was only two stops away!!! Two stop away.. From my very first appointment, she made me feel completely comfortable. Getting waxed can be intimidating, especially your first time, but Lisa has such a calming, professional energy that immediately puts you at ease. She takes her time, explains everything if you have questions, and truly cares about your comfort throughout the entire service. Her spa is peaceful, secure, and very private. She is extremely serious about client confidentiality, which I deeply appreciate. Cleanliness is clearly a top priority -- everything is sanitary and they absolutely do not double dip. You can tell she holds herself to high standards. What really sets her apart is that she educates her clients. She gives great advice on exfoliation, aftercare, and how to prevent ingrowns, which has made a huge difference for me. She wants you to get the best long-term results, not just a quick appointment. And the pricing is amazing. My Brazilian is around $45, which is incredibly reasonable especially considering current inflation. The quality of service you receive for that price is honestly unmatched. If you're looking for a clean, professional, welcoming environment with genuine hospitality, this is the place. Support local businesses that truly care about their clients -- Lisa deserves all the recognition and a 5-star rating.
