What I wasn't expecting was a nice boutique with really cute sweaters along with some equally adorable tops and t-shirts and dresses. Although Wilderness also carries shoes and jewelry, that's not what drew my eye. The sweaters did that. There were sweaters of all kinds, the small knit, the chunky knit, and a few combination shawl/sweaters, some even with a hand-knit look. As would be expected with this time of year, the colors were subdued: earth-tones, greys, blues -- but all were beautiful. Also expected given the time of year, that sweaters of all kinds would dominate the stock. This is definitely the type of store to visit during all the seasons. The clothes are beautiful, the staff among the most friendly and helpful I've ever had the pleasure to speak with. The one thing that matched my expectations: pricing. Wilderness House is not inexpensive. Although there were tempting, moderately priced items, Wilderness House is, unfortunately, a special occasion-only or on-sale store for me.

I love my StyleFinder clothes and I finally put my finger on it the other day...the difference! Since I've had help from someone picking out the right sizes and styles for me, even if I am at my heavier weight, I don't feel fat. How much is that worth ladies? Some of my StyleFinder skirts and dresses have linings in them that help create a nice, tucked in shape without feeling tight or restrictive in any way. Most all of the clothes have a flexible waistline so you're not tugging at it if you gain a few pounds but the clothes are not in any way frumpy! Also, since the staff will help you figure out which pieces are interchangeable, you'll get more bang for your buck...an entire wardrobe, rather than a bunch of random pieces of clothing. I never thought I was a boutique clothing store person and always imagined the clothes were super expensive or kind of on the weird side. Definitely silly, StyleFinder is nothing like that! TypEsthetics is as good as it gets. The scholarly publishing house where I work has been using…read morethem for ages---I personally have been using them for three years---to have foam-core posters and signs made for the many academic conferences and trade shows at which we exhibit. Not only are the posters of a significantly better quality than those you'd have made at FedEx/Kinko's, but the prices are also reasonable, it's easy to submit images, the posters can be done in a jiffy, and the customer service is simply unparalleled. In addition to posters, they also print signs, color copy, and portable exhibits, and they also do fine art reproductions, among other things. Janice and George Holloman run the business together and accept image submissions by FTP on their website (eyeforcolor.com) or by e-mail (I usually e-mail PDFs). Someone (usually George) sends a prompt e-mail response to let me know that things are in the works. George has on more than one occasion e-mailed me to check in with me if, for example, the color in the PDF looks off or if the image is pixelated (just to double check before they print), which is more than FedEx/Kinko's would ever do. And TypEsthetics have saved me many times with last-minute poster requests. Just yesterday afternoon, I submitted a request for four 15" x 22" posters and this morning George e-mailed to tell me they're done and will be delivered by courier this afternoon. They'll ship via UPS, send them by courier if you need them faster, or you can pick them up. They've even shipped directly to the show site for my particularly urgent requests! Every poster is wrapped meticulously to reduce the risk of damage during shipping; I have never received a damaged poster from them. They regularly combine shipping for posters for me and for my coworkers in other departments without having to be asked to do so. They're great about getting invoices to me in a timely manner so I can submit documentation to our accounting office. In short, it feels great to support a locally run business, not just because they're local, but also because they are completely and utterly awesome in every way possible.

I was able to email him my print with the specifics and pick it up the next morning. I will keep using these guys instead of a CVS printing for pics and definitely instead of a FedEx/Kinkos place (which always have terrible service/people who have no clue working there). So glad to have stumbled on this place!
