We were very disappointed with the care our loved one received from Memory Care at Maple Hill. On…read moremultiple occasions, the staff neglected to return clothing and bedding items to the proper rooms. We lost blankets and multiple clothing articles this way. The aides did not engage the residents or follow the scheduled activities. The nursing staff failed to comply with the doctor's orders to treat a physical condition in our loved one, even after multiple calls and reminders. This particular condition then spread and became nearly fatal. Maple Hill had our loved one transported to an Emergency Room with no identifying information, nor were they available to answer the ER doctor's calls for well over an hour. The ER doctor had no knowledge of our loved one's dementia and was able to recognize it only after our loved one had been put in restraints. Now that we have moved our loved one to a new home, Maple Hill is refusing to refund monies owed. We are very concerned for the other residents at Maple Hill-particularly those in Memory Care who cannot speak for themselves.

Linda has many health problems and our family would never consider having her at any other health care facility. For example: She's very susceptible to pneumonia and, at the first possible symptom, their staff immediately takes x-rays and appropriate action. In addition, every member of MCC's staff is kind and caring. Linda is always listened to with respect until the best solution for any problem is found. MCC's communication with our family is extraordinary. Their staff works closely with us to make Linda as comfortable and happy as possible. We are a large family and that enables us to devote time to the entire family since the staff at MCC takes such excellent care of Linda. On top of all that, MCC schedules a wide range of interesting and fun activities that Linda and the other residents enjoy. I've personally spent many hours in all areas of MCC and have never seen or heard of any situation even vaguely resembling that mentioned in other reviews. A bonus is that our loved one raves that the food at MCC is exceptional. Our family highly recommends Maplewood Care Center.

In the house my mom was in one resident died, then another one died shortly after, then my mom rushed to the ER. I started to fear something fishy was going on. Beware: If you report them to MDH or MAARC, the President will keep you from your family member. I am thankful for Ulissa, Ace, Ann, and Brooklyn. I certainly hope the 4 of you move on to a more reputable company and realize the terrible company you work for. It's a cult-like facility and actually scary. It's an absolute shit show. So glad my mom escaped their cult-like prison safely. They actually told me that Red Robin would be her home permanently. Then they pulled a stunt saying it would be shut down and moved her to the more expensive house to steal her money. The other house never shut down and the other 2 residents my mom lived with still live there. They wanted my mom's money. Thank you to the Guardian and the Ombudsman. You saw their true colors. My mom is free and safe and I get to love on her non-stop. The staff at her new facility are amazing and so understanding and loving. Night and Day Difference! Stay away please!

I moved here after I had a fire in the apartment I had lived in for more than 20 years and was #forced to relocate. Before I start, let me say that my health has improved an enormous amount since I began living here; due mostly to the fact that my diabetes is completely under control at this point in time (3/20/24) The Nursing staff @D.G. initiated treatment w/insulin about a month after I moved in in July of 2018 which I objected to fiercely, because I'd never had to be on it before--I have/had 2 Uncles who were both diabetic-the one who is still living went first on insulin-and is now on dialysis 3? X a week and I didn't want that to be my own course so I changed to a intermittent fasting diet which works well for me & continues to. I am back to what I weighed in H.S. & honestly feel pretty fabulous. I just had my 70th birthday & when I moved here I could not have conceived of living that long. more to follow...

I found this place initially as a temporary living situation for my mom until I could buy my home…read moreto have her come stay with me so I could take care of her and I thought it really would be a good place at first. I was proven very wrong and regret my decision to have my mother stay here. With the exception of a very small few the only thing most of them cared about Is the money. The people working there I am referring to. They would constantly have infestations of rodents to which I cleaned my moms room when she was at hospital temporarily and found it to be over run with rodent feces I threw a lot out and had to disinfect everything in the room. They let it get out of control in the time I was healing for surgery not able to visit then I cleaned it and while mom still in hospital, it happened again she died a few months after this before I could get her out and I found mice dead in traps half decayed in her room. They dont care about these people. These vulnerable elderly. They also dont respond to the emergency button my mom had on her neck right away could take hours DO NOT put your loved ones here. I miss mine everyday and will always regret she spent her final days here.
