We were very disappointed with the care our loved one received from Memory Care at Maple Hill. On multiple occasions, the staff neglected to return clothing and bedding items to the proper rooms. We lost blankets and multiple clothing articles this way. The aides did not engage the residents or follow the scheduled activities. The nursing staff failed to comply with the doctor's orders to treat a physical condition in our loved one, even after multiple calls and reminders. This particular condition then spread and became nearly fatal. Maple Hill had our loved one transported to an Emergency Room with no identifying information, nor were they available to answer the ER doctor's calls for well over an hour. The ER doctor had no knowledge of our loved one's dementia and was able to recognize it only after our loved one had been put in restraints. Now that we have moved our loved one to a new home, Maple Hill is refusing to refund monies owed. We are very concerned for the other residents at Maple Hill-particularly those in Memory Care who cannot speak for themselves. read more
