I've been asked to go to a different checkout lane because an employee wants to talk to a customer. That's cool and all but here's the issue with that: I do Instacart and I work this store a lot since it's one I'm familiar with. Most of my gigs are "Food Lion Now." So, even though it's contract work, I represent the store. By shewing me off to another lane with more wait time not only hurts my stats, but it also hurts the store. I work a lot of different stores and I have to say that this is the one that is consistently OUT of many items. Today I did a run and half of my customer's order was not stocked. This seems to be the only store I work that's always out of items. Also, it's the daytime employees that seem most disgruntled. Like, not wanting to answer my questions, ignoring the fact that they're stocking and area I'm shopping and unwilling to move their cart out of the way, avoiding eye contact or just plain rude during checkout. I don't know what's up with this location, maybe it's management. I keep coming back for my personal shopping because it's the few great employees that keep me here. Cheers to them for making a difference!

However, occasionally when I'm in this area or need a few things I visit this location. I like how bright and organized the store is plus their vast selection of products. Usually I can easily find what I'm looking for (and more). I especially enjoy the produce section with the pick and prep items and cut your own herbs section! The pick and prep items save a lot of time and encourage produce intake. The cut your own herbs area is such a great idea to reduce food waste and bring customers closer to gardening. Lowes Foods tends to be on the pricier side compared to Food Lion, however, the quality is high and they provide coupons and accept competitor coupons. Overall, I'm a fan and intend to continue shopping here regularly!

There was a big line of people going in as it opened I thought it would be crowded- there was plenty of room and all the check out lines were open- There were so many fresh flowers I got exactly what I wanted- the price was not too bad. The cashier was friendly, quick and efficient.

Good selection of reds. This Aldi is well stocked and clean. I did not appreciate that while I was standing in line waiting to check out, a second cashier started her line by inviting the person behind me to check out first with her. The produce looked fine but it doesn't compare to H Mart's produce area as far as variety and size. But H Mart is in Cary and if that is not convenient for you, this will work just fine. I'm a flour tortilla girl and they looked a lot like the fresh tortillas I had in Texas. The tortilla section consisted of corn, but they had plenty of flour and some cactus. (Update: Ok, I am NOT claiming to be an authority on flour tortillas by any means. But having lived in Austin for over 20 years and having near-unlimited access to HEB's house brand tortillas when they are so fresh the package is almost too hot to hold, I'm not a tortilla newb, either. I have to say - and I am almost embarrassed to say this - I liked Trader Joe's flour tortillas a lot more than these. TJ's reminded me of HEB's. These tortillas got stiff when I heated them in my cast iron skillet.) Large section of dried beans. Some of it surprisingly expensive, but as I said, they have a large selection so they had reasonably priced ones too, nearly an entire aisle of them. What I was drawn to was their selection of sodas (or "fun drinks", as we call them in my house because I am a mean mom who doesn't let my kid drink soda). Of course they had Mexican Coke and Jarritos, and they also had banana and grapefruit sodas, which I had never seen before. And they also had Topo Chico, which I haven't been able to find since moving to NC from Texas! Only mineral water, no lime. I love their cheese section - I wish I had taken pictures. I saw Salvadorean and Honduran cheeses and cream, which I would love to try in the future. I don't live that close but am willing to put this in my regular rotation, especially if no other grocery near me carries Topo Chico.

I.e pumpkin seed tofu, hemp seed tofu etc. They have a nice variety of things on the salad bar. However I had to really pick my way through the spinach as there were some pieces that were slimy. Hence I deducted a star for that. The hot bar looked good as well but I didn't try anything from it. Check out was quick and friendly. I enjoyed my time there and would go back again.
