I highly recommend this studio! I've taken duet classes with instructor Eerang Kim and private…read morelessons with instructor Gunyong, and both are phenomenal. They truly understand the core principles and spirit of Pilates, providing continuous cueing and meticulously correcting my form to ensure every posture is accurate. Unlike regular strength training at the gym, Pilates targets and engages your deep inner muscles. After a session, my body feels incredibly refreshed, my digestion improves, and I just feel healthier overall. For the past two years, I actually had to stop all exercise due to severe knee pain. However, while working with instructor Gunyong, she identified that my postural habits were the root cause of the pain. As we worked to correct my alignment, my knee pain completely disappeared! Pilates definitely requires focus and feels like an exercise in self-discipline, but it properly aligns your body and drastically improves your overall quality of life. I've even started applying the Pilates breathing techniques and deep muscle activation to my regular gym workouts, and the synergy effect is amazing. While it's true that Pilates requires more of a financial investment compared to other workouts, it is worth every single penny. Having an expert monitor your posture for the entire session and guide the engagement and direction of muscles you can't even see is invaluable. The lesson fee isn't just an expense--it's a true investment in, and a savings account for, my own health.
