my first visit in their new restaurant. I was afraid that looking at the facade of the restaurant that it was going to be too classy. On a Friday night i was looking to have a pizza. I drove in the parking lot and no spots were available. I stopped at the valet service to ask if it was a private function with all this action in the parking lot. He said yes but asked me to wait so he could check. He came back and told me i could sit at the bar. Perfect! His name was Aden, great service. Took my care and i was in. Inside the bar is very nice and the restaurant is chic but you can come here as you are. At the bar vanda was there to also give me a great service. I ordered an old fashion to start and it was perfect. I then ordered a small Cesar salad. It was not small and was delicious with its home made dressing. The all dressed pizza was also good. I have the canolis for desert. The espresso i had it with was unfortunately bitter. It was almost a perfect diner.

Good place to have a party. I like their filet mignon very much. Pizza was ok and salad too.

We hosted a baby shower here, Our waiter was friendly and always available. The manager was very accommodating to all my silly demands, like can you take down your Christmas decorations because they are clashing with our baby decorations style demands. He did everything with a smile. Food was good for a buffet style. The restaurant is nice Sadly there's almost zero parking for a venue that host so many parties at once. They had a group of 50, a group of 25 and us a group of 45 with about 10 spots for parking... Thankfully there is a grocery store across the street but they sadly have so much construction on that street. If you're looking to host a big event this is a GREAR venue.

The way you order is that first you decide your pasta sauce choice, and then decide which type of pasta you want We asked about wine options, and I think it was BYOW, but there was a dep right across the street and if you're unsure about what to get, the owner has recommendations as well. There's so many pasta sauce options that my friends and I took forever to decide (as usual), but I finally opted for the bow tie pasta with marinara, bacon, mushrooms, grilled chicken, white wine, and cream and it was delicious! I also tried a bite of my friends clam (and I don't remember what else) linguini, which was very tasty as well. Portions are generous, and my friends and I food comaed for at least half an hour after we finished eating The owner was super funny because he'd always tease us with desserts before he brought them to the table which ordered them Definitely coming back here again hehe

But never did i have both with a dab of misogynistic and racist behaviour from the owner! I am not a violent person...but omg i wanted to punch him! The menu is long and everything on it is expensive. We ordered two green salads. Felix ordered a fettuccini olive oil and garlic sauce for 13$!!! At that price, we thought that the ingredients would be top notch. Right? Wrong! I got the spaghetti meat ball. No "s". It was A meatball. The owner flat out asked my husband, because he doesn't talk to women, if his Chinese immigrant friend knows what ground BEEF meat was. My husband told him that he could ask me himself. The owner said he didn't bother because he knows i wouldn't understand him. I speak three languages. He then wrote down our plate numbers on paper table setting. What a schmuck! He wasn't shy on telling us that he buys his ingredients (fake parmesan, bread, salad dressing and so on) at Costco. Nothing against Costco. But when you charge 13-20$ a plate of pasta with sauce from a jar, i think you're ripping us off and taking us for idiots! I can go on and on... He also told my husband that we're better eating the whole thing because he will not let us have doggy bags. Food this nasty, no f-ing way! Worst meal of my life! Worst place ever!

Sitting on a prime location beside the Parc des Rapides, in Lasalle, Riventino offers top notch, fresh home-made Italian fare and very decent prices. This place has been here for over 40 years so that's got to tell you something, given the fierce competition in Montreal's restaurant scene. You have to be good in order to have any longevity in this city of foodies. Friend and I came here after an evening of walking and hanging out by the Rapids, what I noticed right away was that the balcony planters were all growing fresh herbs. I think it was the owner who served us, really friendly service overall. I spotted a homemade pasta dish with lamb ragout, that's not common and I'll probably give it a go the next time I'm here. Nonetheless, this first time I had their Riventino pizza, a homemade thin-crust pizza with mushrooms, cheese, and pork. When I asked for hot chili flakes, the owner asked if I like things really hot. I do so he offered the really hot chili oil. Pieces of sliced red chillies marinated and sitting in extra-virgin olive oil, infusing the oil with the heat of the chillis. It was the perfect condiment to my pizza. I should add the pizza was a perfect meal size as well. Not so filling that you feel you can't walk afterwards but just enough to satisfy. My friend had the fettucine dish made with artichoke pesto and chicken. She loved it. With bruscetta and bread offered right way, a staff that makes you feel welcome, a great view of the river, I wouldn't hesitate to come here again.

Normally not my style of cuisine, I was curious about their Tartar Trilogy and I decided to try it. This dish is only available on Tuesdays, so in this case I had to plan ahead. They have an authentic wood-burning oven that you can't help but notice immediately on entering. After being seated by the waiter and given a choice of coffee or cappuccino, I was served a modest time later. It came on a plate, with tartar of salmon on mangoes, tartar of tuna on avocados and tartar of beef. It came with croutons (sliced not diced) and leafy green salad. I found it tasty even if the portions were kinda small. There was a mini cannoli for dessert. A little pricey at $25.00 plus tax but as a culinary experience, it was interesting.

Considering the fact that overall the food is pretty average but the prices for the main courses are around $35 (before tax & tip), it's overpriced. Based on my experience, it was my definitely my first and last time there. If you want to eat stellar Italian food in Lasalle, there is a BYOB restaurant on Dollard near Newman that has been there for at least 15 years. I don't think it's fair to name it in this review. This restaurant is in the same price range and the quality of the dishes fare from great to exceptional. For those readers familar with Lasalle, you know which establishment I'm talking about.
