We bring in our Dyson every 18-24 months or so for "annual: service. It's our main vac for a family of 5 with three fur babies. This Dyson will last forever because Bob's keeps it in top condition. Over the years, this vac has sucked up its fair share of problem items resulting in hoses which lost suction due to tiny holes and a virtual forest of pet hair. I'd say the Dyson is 10 years old now. We just did a regular service for $69 and it is back to its original full-force suction. When you buy a good machine, keep it maintained! Bob's has never steered us wrong! read more

Horribly overpriced store. They took over Oreck that went bankrupt. They will no longer warranty previous Oreck purchases for repair. They just tried to put me into a $1500 vacuum cleaner!!!!! I don't get their market share, every machine in this store is overpriced. Who in the world spends these kinds of prices for a vacuum cleaner?? The store reminds me of a Beverly Hills vacuum store. I brought my excellent condition Oreck for a minor repair and cleaning and after two days parts were flying off and upon further inspection, they did a shoddy job at the repair and I'm out $140. They won't return my calls. THEY ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF UPSELLING YOU INTO A $1500 MACHINE if you plan to go there for a repair. I had been to this establishment a few times in the past few years. I had always received good service, albeit slow. I had no reason to complain at all. Fast forward to a few months back. At the advice of the technician at Bob's I chunked my Bissell Steam Vac and purchased a Hoover Premier Steam Vac. I must say I love it! As with any electrical unit that is around water I needed to have it serviced. I took it to Sears, it was closer to my home, waited three weeks, got it home, and it sounded like a diesel engine. I was disgusted to I made the drive to Bob's. The customer service rep who signed in my machine asked if I would also like them to give the steam vac a "good deep cleaning". Now, I keep my machine clean religiously but, I figured since they will have it apart doing the repair they can clean things I can't reach. So, I agreed and paid a $49 cleaning fee. After waiting to hear back from Bob for three weeks they finally called me to let me know that Hoover was going to just replace my unit due to Sears incompetence. I thought, great! So when can I pick it up. Ummm yea, three weeks later I was able to pick it up. Now here is where "Bob" showed his true colors. First of all, they took the new replacement unit out of it's box before I arrived and rolled out the replacement. The id sticker had been "replaced". Shady, very shady. Then when I asked about getting my cleaning fee back they said "Oh that wasn't a cleaning fee it was a handling fee." Ummm no, it was a cleaning fee. Why would I pay a handling fee you are a Hoover Service center I am well within my warranty and here is the receipt to prove it. Then I got the sob story that Hoover doesn't pay them enough to do the service and blaaa blaaa blaaa. I asked for the owner and he wasn't there. So I waited and called back the next day. Yep, more of the same song and dance. Now I ask you the paying public, what do you think? Would you trust someone that once they got your money they are simply going to keep it even thought they did not render service? Never again. Never. I found a great Vacuum Service Center in Suwannee.. So far they have been great! Good luck "Bob". Shady business will take away the sun and we all know you can't grow without the sun. Oh P.S. I did of course make a complaint to Hoover and to the Better Business Bureau about them. Again, "Bob" doesn't care. He got my money. read more

I went to Bob's today because my dyson's motor brush works intermittently, even after taking it to the dyson service station. I was totally prepared to pay for the initial analysis and whatever parts I needed. Instead of charging me any money for something the service repair person knew wasn't fixable, she explained to me what the problem was and told me how to fix it. So I am not one to write reviews and if I do I prefer to write positive ones. Unfortunately this one is not. I had to get a couple of vacuum filters for a dirt devil and a dyson. I was also going to have the service my dyson (not cheap). So I new which filter I needed for the dirt devil, but I could not remember the type of dyson and I asked her if the had dyson filters. She said yes. I said unfortunately i do not remember which one. That is when everything went down hill. I started to describe which one and was about to pull my phone out and pull it up to show her. That is when she gave me a smart a#% comment, something about car parts, basically she did not want to be bothered. I shut it down after that and said aren't you the subject matter expert this is a vacuum store isn't it, and aren't you trying to run a business helping customer, selling products and services. Called her a smart a#s and left. Is customer service dead in America? We wonder why small business are failing. It so easy to blame the government. Maybe those people should look in the mirror and realize they should never deal with the public or run a business. I will find a vacuum store that cares and never go to bob's vacuum again. read more

When we left the store without purchasing anything, he was polite and offered us a catalog. I went home and researched the vacuums on line and read reviews to make sure I would get what I wanted and one that was rated well. I needed to find out why my new vacuum belt (purchase at a big-box store) kept falling off after a few passes. We have 2 cats and going without a vacuum, even for a short time, is not an option. I drove right over to Bob's from work today. I arrived 5 minutes before the store was to close, parked my car in the fire zone in front to unload, and asked the woman inside if she minded if I ran to park my car in a spot and would be right back. As it turned out my car would not start, so I was back inside within a minute and Ellen (I believe her name is) was already checking the vacuum out for the problem. When I showed her the belt, she knew instantly what was wrong and replaced the belt with the correct one for my Hoover Windtunnel for a nominal charge. I was out the door with my vacuum in hand in just a few minutes and on to calling for road service! After Ellen closed the store she drove her car around to mine and gave me a jump start, which was extremely kind of her because she could have just as easily left me there waiting for road service to show up. I received fast, reasonably priced service from someone who also went above and beyond to help and for that reason, I'll be back to Bob's Roswell Vacuum for service in the future! read more
