The property if covered in forestry, large trees and walking paths everywhere. They have a small pond with Koi fish that you can feed, a swing set for the kiddos, and lots of room to wander and explore. The ceremony is held outdoors on a beautiful area of the property with custom benches for the guests to sit on. They have an indoor/outdoor pavilion for the reception with a full bar area, dance floor, and a designated area for the DJ. We were drawn to Alpine for the beautiful scenery and the all-inclusive nature of Barry's package. He enticed us with his promise of good down-home cooking and gorgeous jade plants, and he was willing to work with us to put together exactly what we were wanting. As a type-A person, I have to admit that Barry's laid-back attitude made me a little nervous, but he is a true professional and pulled it together seamlessly on the big day. He made it all appear effortless, but I know that the end product was the result of his 25 years of experience with weddings. The day was great from beginning to end. The bridal room was beautiful and included a lighted makeup station, private bar, and a giant mirror that was great for pictures. My bridesmaids all commented on how cute it was. Barry was flexible on setup, and by the time I arrived on site, the tables were dressed and everything looked beautiful. Barry's price per head on food was significantly lower than any Columbia caterer, and the brisket, turkey, and sides were seriously the best wedding food I have ever eaten. It actually rained on our wedding day, but we were able to find a window for the outdoor ceremony, and Barry kept everyone comfortable with space heaters and curtains in the pavilion. He put out a lovely coffee/hot chocolate bar and even soup and grilled cheese for a snack to keep everyone feeling toasty. We never even asked him to put out the soup -- he just did it. We had a couple of older family members at our wedding who can't sit for long periods of time in folding chairs, and Barry set out a recliner and rocking chair from his own home with blankets to keep them comfortable before and during the reception. The kids at our wedding had a blast running around the venue, and even the adults enjoyed feeding the fish in the koi pond. Everybody kept saying how unique and beautiful the park was. Justin, the DJ, was fun and easy, and it was a relief to have him take charge of the reception schedule so we could just enjoy. All in all, I can't even imagine how the day could have been better. I'm just so happy that we decided to have our wedding in the most beautiful place in Missouri.

Most of the product is separated in categories (cakes, shells, novelties, assortments, etc) they have the biggest selection I have ever seen of any store. They carry just about every major brand you can think of, and even some of the not so known brands that are should I say exxtra spicy... I spent about 2 hours in here and honestly I could probably spend a lot more time in there if I had a blank check.. Most of the time I was just talking shop with one of the managers and another older fellow "Pyro" who came all the way from Texas. The staff was great and very helpful, recommended some stuff that turned out to be great, and gave me some helpful tips. Prices are actually pretty low compared to just about every other place offering those gimmicky "BOGO" deals which is just rolling the price of both items in to one so you feel like your getting a deal. Unfortunately they do NOT offer wholesale pricing however their retail price is still lower than those other places with fake discounts and promotions. In all honesty this is one of the best shops I been too, great selection, friendly staff, good prices. My biggest issue is I wish I lived closer so I could go there more often..
