I personally hate doctors because they all tell me to rest and do less... As in: not listening... Dr. Pereles, on the other hand... Is a veteran endurance athlete. He was recommended to me by a handful of folks who sang his praises. Trusting them, I made an appointment as soon as possible. I was most delighted to learn that I could make an appointment that matched my schedule in just a couple days. They have an on-line patient information portal, but they ask for all that info in person... So, I am not too sure about the value of the portal except to check your appointment? Day of appointment... Arrive early... And I am seem early, too. Awesome. It gets better- thanks to Dr. Pereles. He identified and diagnosed my issue, then provided some stellar advice, and Most importantly, didn't need to quit my training. Smarter training was advised, and I am so happy for the insightful medical advice. I would recommend this fabulous doc to any endurance athlete.

This is the worst PT unit I've used and I speak as one having done years of PT In the area . The…read morestaff uses a lot of trainees who are randomly called on during your session with the actual PT who seems to have several clients at one time and can't focus on you . The aides seem incompetent and often don't know what your warmup routine is or what you're there for, as if the information is not updated for your visit. Also, some of the therapists seem over aggressive in their treatments, and as an older patient I don't and can't do heavy weights and frankly I got worse going to my sessions. They also leave you unsupervised for gaps of time where no one can correct your form or take your heavy weight from you. The therapists also are always having in depth conversations about sports, their weekends, their lives, their pets, as they 'work' on you and seem unfocused and careless about their jobs. The front desk staff is also rude and disrespectful at times and there is always a backlog of patients waiting to be checked in! I came here because it's close to my house and i have used a doctor from this practice for years but I've now found other options for my treatment and PT!

I have dealt with bilateral hip pain for 4 years without proper diagnosis. Dr. Wolff knew what was wrong in 5 minutes of my exam. I had a right Hip Arthroscopy for FAI with Labrum Reconstruction on 4-19-2024. Immediately after surgery my hip pain was gone and the recovery was a breeze. I do not know if I am the exception but I was walking without crutches by day 11-12 without any issues. If you need any hip procedure in the DMV Dr. Wolff and his team are without exception the best Orthopedic Surgical Group around! Highly recommend!

I Had hip labrum reconstructive surgery with Dr. Wolffe, and for over a year he insisted that the…read moreongoing pain in my hip was due to inflammation. I went back to him every 2 to 3 months for that year explaining to him that I was diligent with my physical therapy and taking the medication he told me to take, and yet the hip wasn't getting any better. But He continued to insist it was ongoing inflammation for over a year. Since he wasn't willing to consider what else it might be or offer any other solutions to help me, I went out and got a second opinion. So I saw another surgeon, and after he operated on me, he determined that I had extensive scarring inside my hip binding the hip flexor muscles to the hip capsule. After he removed all the scar tissue from my hip, it was much better and pain free. Dr. Wolff refused to consider that anything else may be going on, and so he wasn't able to help me. While a nice man, I found that he was rushed during our appointments and he wasn't always in the moment. So I don't feel he was always listening to what I had to say. Regardless, him continuing to insist my pain was due to inflammation for an entire year wasn't really him thinking about what else the problem might be or to consider other solutions.

Originally I went to see Dr. Raffo because I was worried about my osteoporosis because I woke up one morning, and my hip, lower back was hurting and had tingling with pain in my lower back, but because I had gotten the Demosumab Injection for my bones I was worried about getting an x-rays so I prolonged the appointment. My left back muscles were hurting and causing pain. By the time my appointment came the pain had subsided. Because I work in a café it is just a matter of time before the pain comes back and starts to bother me again, so I talked to Dr. Raffo about starting back up with physical therapy. Thank you, Dr. Raffo, Janae and Rana for all you do and have done for me.

He was very confident that he could give do the surgery and improve my quality of life as it pertained to my foot pain and issues. I am going to be honest, there was a good amount of work done to my foot. Repair a plantar plate, fix a mild bunion, and remove 2 neuromas. He said he needed to shorten the second toe. I did everything that he told me to do. I did physical therapy in his office for the full recommended time. I went every week wearing 2 masks in a crowded office. I did all recommendations...Alex Brinlee my PT was excellent. However, Dr Feldman kept pushing the goalpost when I was not pain-free with the right amount of mobility in my foot. First, it was, give it 3 or 4 months....then, it takes at least 6 months, then, 9 months I am sure it will be better, and finally, this usually takes a year...Well, we are about 1.5 years post and my second toe doesn't move, the pain barefoot is the same or worse and I STILL can only wear sneakers comfortably. I cannot WEAR a small wedge or simple ONE inch heel. He said that I would be able to wear better shoes and was VERY confident. One visit that I had where I was complaining about my pain and the thickness on my foot, he ASSURED me that the thickness GOES AWAY and also told me that my x-ray was beautiful. Hmmm...Oh, I am glad my x-ray looks so lovely but how about you acknowledge how the PATIENT feels? I definitely felt he was being extremely arrogant. So, as time has gone on, I am very grateful that I can walk. I am grateful that I have my foot! But not happy with the outcome of my surgery. I did NOT want to post this review, but I wrote Dr Feldman a letter letting him know of my displeasure. Of course, he did NOT respond to me. That in itself speaks volumes. I want say that while I do NOT think that Dr. Feldman did anything WRONG. It just happened but his arrogance and lack of solutions are what is disappointing. Oh, let me not forget to mention that he recommended that I "protect my investment" by purchasing $300 custom insoles that HURT SO MUCH I CANNOT WEAR them. A total waste of money. Think twice about going to this practice!!!! Is this the type of doctor you want? Arrogance and no offering of better solutions to what a patient considers a FAILED surgery?

The Centers for Advanced Orthopedics is a scumbag operation, funneling patients in and out as fast…read moreas possible, attempting to add on extra charges after-the-fact, lying about paperwork being sent out, and then lying ON the paperwork about it being 'past due'. They are unmistakably driven by profit over patient care, and are a perfect encapsulation of what's wrong with the American medical industry. I had 1 appointment with Dr. Keeling. He was late. He then rushed through our appointment as fast as humanly possible, spending maybe 6 or 7 minutes with me. He told me I had some medical-jargon-named condition in my knee, and that I should start PT in their PT office ASAP, ideally that day. He then tried to leave at the point in the appointment where a good doctor would then sit and talk me through the condition, what I should do, what I should expect, etc. But no, he didn't even tell me the used name (arthritis), and provided no helpful advice or guidance going forward. He just wanted me signed up for PT and he wanted the appointment OVER. So I got home and had to google all of the information that a good doctor would have provided, and, ya know, trust that what I'm finding on the internet is sound medical advice. That would have been enough for a 1-star review, but there's more scumbaggery. Within days of the appointment, I started receiving urgent emails from their office claiming I had an Overdue Balance with them. After getting 5 or 6 of these emails without having gotten a physical bill for them for anything, I called in (they don't have an email address). The woman who answered assured me that the physical bill had been sent out and I would see it in a few days at the most. Several MONTHS go by, and I receive nothing except more urgent emails. Today, the physical bill finally arrived 3 months after the appointment. The bill claims a SECOND co-payment is owed, and that I am 60 days past due. It's this kind of used-car-salesmen nonsense that keeps people, in general, hesitant to go to doctors at all. So my advice would be to stay far, far away from this profit center and Dr. Keeling.

She is just the nicest, kindest person ever. Stacey, advised me to go to the urgent care center when I couldn't get in to see an orthopedic doctor before the weekend. She even helped me find a good one. Then, when an appointment opened up, she called me and booked the appointment for me at Ortho Bethesda. Stacey, you are an angel. I went to see Dr. Gazdag and he was wonderful. He was funny and an excellent professional. We took more X-rays, so if you see a light in Rockville, it is just me glowing at night. I am in a boot and a cane, but no surgery needed. Amen! The people who work with Dr. Gazdag and Ortho Bethesda were awesome. They were very nice and helpful. I got great care and I have respect for the office. And, thank you, Stacey for making sure I was taken care of.

TLDR- I went here with the impression the OT would get my healed fractured wrist back to working…read moreagain, but he did not and the professionalism and care seemed to exist for exactly one month of appointments- which doesn't seem like a timeline based on rehab/healing- but insurance or the bottom line. I could be wrong. But my wrist sure doesn't work, but I "graduated" in exactly a month. I've never had an injury like this before. I broke my wrist really badly. Or more specifically- I had a left distal radius fracture with associated distal ulna fracture, then ORIF surgery/ open reduction, internal fixation- so I have a plate in my wrist now. I'd already tried a physical therapy mill where you learn and do your own exercises independently, you even timed yourself- so Danny the OT here was a huge step up. He seemed like he genuinely cared about what he does and the patient's successful recovery. After the last experience I felt finally someone will help me get my hand and wrist back to working order. On our first appointment he scheduled us for the next month of appointments. And funny enough, I "graduated" on that last scheduled day. I had no idea it would be the last day until the end of the appointment. It was also the first time he had a student/intern or something shadow him- which I felt uncomfortable with. It is just a hand, but talking about your defects or the vulnerability of not being able to do very simple things- is not something I feel comfortable talking about in front of a person I never met. It felt very impersonal. And despite the joy they expressed at my "graduation"- from the OT, the intern, and the OT's assistant. They all congratulated me. Which felt confusing, because I can't open a medicine bottle. I can't clasp anything on my back. I can't really twist any cap. I walk my dog with a waist leash because I don't have the strength on dexterity in that hand to walk him anymore with my hands. But I graduated. I was told this as if it was cause for celebration but I just thought- no one's going to help me. I took the steps instead of the elevator as I left the office for privacy because I started crying. I cried walking down the stairwell. I felt just abandoned with my often painful weak wrist and severely limited ROM. I don't know how to fix my wrist on my own and no one seems to care enough to treat me until I have a working hand/wrist. He was obviously done assisting me but as I looked up certified hand therapists - the best ones are in his office. He was done assisting me, but why didn't he recommend his colleague? A CHT. So I can open medicine bottles, and honestly just clasp my bra in the back. Or really a hundred things that come up every day. I don't understand why he couldn't help me fix this. It seems so wrong to just not at least refer me to someone. Every metric that determines a successful wrist rehab is abominable for me. By the range of motion numbers, I desperately need OT or a certified hand specialist. I was still dropped without notice or a path to figuring out how to tie my shoes in one try. I felt just hopeless about it. Like he thought this was good enough. My trust and hope is near depleted. It's just a hand. I know. But it's a part of me. Every time I can't do something I used to be able to do it's like a reminder I'm not whole yet. And I wish I didn't have to fight for the most basic rehab care. I'll start again, when I can muster the emotional energy to at least act like I have additional reserve of trust. I don't know if this is what people have to fight through, but it's not right. Especially when you're at your most vulnerable. I feel bad for everyone just trying to recover, who is left with a defective piece of themselves and the confusing task of navigating a way towards just being whole again, or even just regaining the ability to clasp their own darn bra.

Dr Gabriel Petruccelli is one of the best Ortho surgeons around and he has a great bedside manner…read morewhich is rare in surgeons! He shows you the X-rays , educates you and follows up diligently so you can see what is happening. He is always available to answer all questions. I also had a friend (over 60) who had a complete shoulder replacement. My friend showed me the X-rays and demonstrated how his shoulder works now - truly a miracle! He has completely recovered and has full use of his shoulder so he can do what he wants to do again. He followed through with all physical therapy but attributes the success to Dr. Petruccelli's skill as a surgeon.
