I own and Operate Crawford's Tree Stump Removal, And I have been working with Bobcat Tree service since 1998. I would highly recommend Bobcat Tree Service as one of the most honest hard working very fair and accommodating company's I work with. When Travis Gerber owner of Bob Cat Tree Service at one time had his own stump grinder and did not need my service I still referred Bobcat tree service to my friends and family because, I knew Travis would do a good job and would not make me look bad and he would treat them fair. I've worked for a lot of the Tree Services since 1998 in the Hampton Roads area. I know first hand what companies do good work and what companies the customers are not happy with. I have never come to Bobcat Tree services' jobs and heard anything from his customers but praise and total satisfaction with his prices, his performance doing their tree work, and how fast he responded to getting their job done. I have worked with Travis for over 15 years and he has always been kind, fair, and is very honest and has a big heart who cares 10 times more then most companies out their about pleasing his customers. The negative post I just read saddens me because this gentleman painted a totally opposite picture of the type of Company Bobcat Tree Service is all about. From my understanding Bobcat Tree service was not hired by the customer, he was hired for this job from another Tree company to help take this tree down because the other company needed Travis Gerber's Crane on the job in order to take this tree down. Bobcat Tree service was not the company that was hired to take this tree down. Bobcat tree service only did what the other company asked him to do. The customer paid the other tree service to take down a tree on a property line. Travis knew nothing about the tree being on someone's property line. I know Travis and Travis would have never taken down someone else's tree without their permission. This gentleman went after Travis's company because the other tree service that was hired to do this job had nothing for him to go after. I would highly recommend Bobcat Tree Service. Bob Cat Tree Service has been my tree company for the last 9 years. I own 2.5 acres in the Witchduck area. I have 300 pine trees. Travis has worked with me to clean up dead and dying trees on so many occasions I can't remember just how many. His crew just left my house today after two full days of taking down 11 trees. They were always on time, courteous and not only professional but respectful of my property, and my wife and I. The whole crew took extra care to make sure the when they left the job there was virtually no evidence that they had been there. I've had a few other tree services in the past, including some that had some in after some of our major hurricanes. Well I can tell you how disappointed I was with their attitude, service. Travis cares and when the boss careers the workers care too. It always starts from the Top, and Travis is one of the very y best in our area. He got the equipment; know how, crews and the best attitude to work with. WARNING: You might read some bad reviews: but keep this in mind - When people assess other people it tell you more about them then it does the other person. 5/11/2015 Great Job!!! Travis and his Crew showed up at about 9:30a Saturday 5/9/2015 started removing trees by 10a and finished 5 hours later... They efficently cut 1 Gumball tree and two older pine trees with some complexity overhanging the neighbors home. The crew was friendly, worked with a sense of urgency and got the job done in about 5 hours. It was a true pleasure working with these folks to get my yard cleared for future landscaping efforts. The price was the lowest out of 5 local quotes and the lead time was much faster than any of the others in town. Travis came by last Friday quote and was cutting the following Saturday! Where others indicated they would not be free until June time frame! Travis indicated he was also busy but made time to ensure our landscaping efforts will be met this season! Which was very important to our wife and I. We also Had a tree on a property line, Travis myself and the neighbor discussed in person about removing the tree and all is well! After hurricane Mathew went through Va. Beach, we had several trees down in our yard as well as several others that were uprooting. We spent many hours picking up all the tree debris would could and stacking it. Bobcat Tree Service came by and went over all the work that needed to be done. The crew arrived promptly on the scheduled day, spent a very long day working and then came back the next day and completed everything. Very hard and diligent workers. Very professional treemen. Big plus is that they have all the equipment (in great condition too) to perform any tree related tasked. The downed trees were removed, the leaning trees were downed and removed. All the tree debris that we had stacked up throughout the yard (2.5 acres) was chipped and removed. They cleaned up, raked up behind themselves. They even blew the leaves off our deck and the driveway. When they left, only the bare spots where the trees once stood showed that Bobcat had been in the yard. Would be more than happy to recommend this company to anyone. In fact, they will be doing more work for us in the future. Bobcat Tree service did an excellent job removing a very large tree that was growing right up against our house, posing a risk to our foundation and sewer lines. Steve was able to come out and give me a very fair estimate the same day, and we scheduled the removal for the following week. The crew showed up on time, and despite having numerous trucks and machinery, they were able to set up in a way that minimized disruption to our neighbors and morning traffic flow. In about an hour, the tree and stump were fully removed along with all the debris in our lawn. It was impressive how easily they were able to do the job in a tight space, with minimal disruption to my other landscaping. I would definitely recommend this company and have already received an estimate for some additional trimming on other trees to be done soon. read more

Did a fantastic job. There is tree in our neighbors yard that had several very large leads overhanging the roof of our house so it was a little tricky. And unlike some companies, Travis and his team were very professional and arrived on-site with a crane, excavator, tree shredder, etc., to get the job done. Bobcat Tree Service saved my rental property. I had 8 large pine trees and 2 gumballs that were making the property less than desirable to rent due to the enormous amount of yard work that needed to be done and no grass to mow. Wow! Just had a massive Pine tree removed from my front yard and what a fine job Bobcat Tree Service did today!
