I am always skeptical by dentist that tell you that you need work done or want to do unnecessary work on your teeth. They are NOT like that. They are honest and really care about you as an individual not just a number. I drive from Plano to see Rachel (hygienist). Do yourself a favor and bring your teeth to her. It's like taking your teeth to the spa. My son gets iron stains on his teeth so I take him in often to get them cleaned. She had him sit with me and lean back and he didn't seem bothered at all. We did go through two main dentists over the 4 year span, but Dr McCray was amazing. Fast forward to my last 2 visits since our last doctor left and it has been horrible. The wait times are ridiculous. Recently we waited over 45 mins from X-rays and initial exam / cleaning for the dentist to come and do her final inspection. Just sitting, in the open area. No walls or doors, whereas they used to always put us in a room because I have multiples and they can get fidgety. She showed no urgency at all, and stopped to see other patients that were later arrivals than me and my kids. We were told at least 3 times that it would be 5-10 mins more, and it was not the case. I am saddened because this is the only dentist office my kids have seen, and up until a year ago it was amazing. Now, I do not recommend you coming here, if you value your time or customer service. I have started the process to locate a better fit for me and my kids. Use this practice at your own risk...

They took the time to explain the process, keeping my daughter calm and comfortable the entire time. They made what could have been a scary experience feel safe and even positive. The extraction was so smooth that neither my daughter nor I even realized the tooth was out. They even made it fun by having the tooth "jump out with nurse catching it". Her recovery was easy, and she left smiling instead of scared. This office is the exact opposite: * They explain everything and even test tools (like the drill outside your mouth) first so you know what to expect * They actively watch your body language and check in if you seem tense or uncomfortable instead of pushing through * Even the numbing process itself is surprisingly easy (topical first + distraction techniques so it's barely noticeable) Beyond that, the level of care and education happening in the office from the full staff is just different. I've overheard dental hygienist conversations guiding patients on things like hydration and electrolytes, preventing teeth discoloration, and even thoughtful education destigmatizing cold sores with younger patients. It feels like a healthcare environment, not just a transactional appointment. And most importantly -- the work itself is exceptional. After two years as a patient, I finally replaced a yellowed and chipped front tooth filling I had avoided for years (um, decades?) because I didn't trust anyone to not make it worse. Dr. Peng was very knowledgeable and walked us through our options. She and her staff are so sweet and patient. It's a nice new facility with cute toys for the littles which makes the experience fun for them. The best part is that they give you an iPad for parents to watch in the other room while your kiddo does treatment. Beware of the billing practices of this dentist. They've overcharged me twice, and blame their 3rd…read moreparty billing service. The front desk took no initiative to resolve the issue and said there is nothing they can do. I need to contact their billing service myself. One of my children had a procedure and my insurance had negotiated rates with them for it, but they failed to honor them and said I owed more. My other child was charged for x-rays when my coverage states they were covered. Additional x-rays seemed to have been taken by the tech for no valid reason, nor was it mentioned at the time of the visit, and they are now passing the charges to me. The doctor herself is great, but someone within the practice is to blame for not accurately charging me and no one is taking ownership. I'll be taking my children elsewhere.
