We moved here from FL and our previous dentist has been with our daughter since she was a toddler. She's 8.5 now so having familiar faces was comforting and she knew what to expect. Prior to moving to Frisco, I did EXTENSIVE research and gathered ALOT of feedback from other local Moms on the best dentist in the area. All of them said Texas Tiny Teeth!!! I love that there's an Ortho section also so transitioning won't be tough bc we already know braces are in our future $$$ Today was our first visit and although there was a ton of anxiety for our daughter coming to a new place with new faces, our assistant Jessi was a BLESSING. She has to be the most SWEETEST, CALM, KIND and GENTLE dental assistant we've ever had. She made a scary situation for our daughter a pleasant one. She kept her cool, when I was losing mine. Thanks Jessi! We're used to having a private room and it was my fault I didn't book one. Dr. Slaughter was very informative and very transparent with what we needed to do for our next dental appointment. I initially reviewed this office years ago. That review is below. Now, my sentiments are not positive. For years we have thoroughly enjoyed this practice. We did go through two main dentists over the 4 year span, but Dr McCray was amazing. Fast forward to my last 2 visits since our last doctor left and it has been horrible. The wait times are ridiculous. Recently we waited over 45 mins from X-rays and initial exam / cleaning for the dentist to come and do her final inspection. Just sitting, in the open area. No walls or doors, whereas they used to always put us in a room because I have multiples and they can get fidgety. She showed no urgency at all, and stopped to see other patients that were later arrivals than me and my kids. We were told at least 3 times that it would be 5-10 mins more, and it was not the case. I am saddened because this is the only dentist office my kids have seen, and up until a year ago it was amazing. Now, I do not recommend you coming here, if you value your time or customer service. This office is so great! The hygienists work so well with little ones to make them feel comfortable. I was in complete awe of the dentist's ability to change my toddler's mindset from not wanting to get his teeth cleaned, to singing to him which allowed my little one to sit there calmly and let the dentist conduct his exam!! Very cute dentists office. Clean and well organized. We were out of there with two kids in less than an hour! They were attentive and didn't rush us but did everything in a speedy fashion. I'm glad I finally found a good place for my kids dental care. Everyone is nice and friendly. There's a kid play room so the kids can play while waiting but we didn't have to wait long time to be seen. Makayla took good care of my son. She's very patient with him and made him feel comfortable as this is his first dental visit and he had anxiety. Dr. James explained all my questions throughly. My daughter saw Dr Slaughter in October of 2022 for a tooth extraction. She has anxiety with the dentist so we planned on the oral sedation for the procedure. We were 10 minutes early for our appointment and checked in online. Nobody saw my daughter until an hour after her scheduled appointment. For a child who is already anxious about seeing the dentist, this wait time only exacerbated it. When they finally saw her, we waited another 30 min to see the dentist and to finally receive the oral sedation. It was poor scheduling on their part because there is only one room for children to rest in while the sedation takes effect. Once in the room with the dentist, my child could not go through with it. She was so anxious/scared and we ended up having to abort the procedure which I understood was for her own safety. They explained that they would follow up with a new plan which would include IV sedation because of my daughters anxiety level...estimated to be about $1,400 on top of the $460 we paid for the oral sedation this visit. We never received a follow up. They never checked to see how my daughter was doing following the oral sedation that day. We called several times and they never sent us an updated plan after saying they would. Finally, on a 4th attempt to get a response, I emailed them and they finally sent a new plan and apologized for being so busy. By now, a month had passed since her original appt in October and they couldn't fit her in for another 3 weeks due to the anesthesiologist's availability. So, we decided to go with another dentist, Stonebrook Pediatric Dentistry, and they were so patient with my daughter and made her so comfortable that she was able to go through with the procedure with just the laughing gas! No oral sedation! No IV! For a pediatric dentistry with such great reviews such as Texas Tiny Teeth, I expected more care, concern and follow through. If you have a child who is anxious about the dentist, I would not recommend this practice. read more

We love all of the staff here, from the front desk, to billing, dental assistants, and Dr. James. They are all so good with our kids and know exactly how to explain everything to us parents without frightening the children. We have been going here for the last couple of years and every visit has been great. Rachel just did the cleaning of both of our children's teeth and she was wonderful. Absolutely loved the environment. If any business can sustain during Covid they're simply amazing. We were welcomed in front office staff was friendly and pleasant, temp check, kids went back alone until it was time for them to speak with me. Dr James was very knowledgeable in provided every alternative to what we could do for one of my sons teeth. I love this place! The aesthetic is very kid friendly and clean! My oldest daughter frequently asks "when are we going back to the dentist?" Being able to complete forms online prior to the appointment was a plus and allowed for a streamlined check in process. The entire team is caring and engaging with the littles and they do a great job explaining what they are doing and answering any questions. The tv screens on the ceiling are a plus. Dr. Slaughter has an excellent bedside manner and neither my 5 year old or two year old shed a single tear.
