You can grab about any drink you can think of, and if you're a whiskey or bourbon fan, there are plenty of options to choose from. We got seated inside, and behind us were so many options for spirits to purchase--it was fun just to look over everything they had. On top of that, there was a guy going around giving samples of spirits, so you can always get lucky that way and grab a sample of a possible future purchase We got salads, burgers, cheese curds, and other items. The food was excellent, and I was starving. If you left the place hungry, that's your fault--portion sizes were large, and the food was filling. The place was certainly noisy, and that's to be expected. This wasn't a problem, but keep it in mind. That Friday energy had people laughing, telling their stories from the week, and enjoying the food. Our server was extremely attentive and kept track of everything amidst so much going on there. I was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the interior was given that the exterior is essentially a strip mall. What's that old saying about books and their covers? Service was great, both attentive and timely, and everyone very much enjoyed their food. Monte Cristo is one of my favorites and this one was done very well. My coffee was also good and she kept it coming, which I also appreciated. Really the only sour note in the entire experience was being asked to vacate the table. While it was not handled terribly poorly, I would have recommended they offer us something to shift to the bar to not end the meal on a less than positive note, but that's just me.

Even after we settled on a Boudreaux Blanc, the staff, hearing I wasn't the biggest fan of whites, came back to offer me a sample of a red he thought I may enjoy. He was 100% right. They have ample outdoor seating which we utilized this evening. Luckily this evening, the villages 4th of July festivities were also happening so we had some live music to enjoy as well. Finally, while they put together a tasty charcuterie board themselves, they also team up with other village establishments to offer more food options that can be delivered right to your table at Vintage 38. In particular three things: The pancetta aracini didn't have any pancetta in it. And the cheese inside was not melted completely. This led to some clumps when eating it that were unpleasant. The second thing was the braised beef and mushroom gnocchi. The gnocchi were a little tougher than I would have preferred. The beef however was braised absolutely beautifully with a perfect texture. The third was the salmon crepe. It was served room temp to preserve the salmon in the dish. But IMO the cream cheese in the crepe didn't eat well at room temp. Just my opinion and most of the others at the tasting seemed to enjoy it. I'm not nuanced enough to say if the Rye's paired well with the dishes they were served with but nothing stood out to say they didn't pair well. Overall, very happy with the event, the food, the atmosphere and definitely want to go back.
