Drinks themselves were good, especially considering that Paso a few years ago didn't have comparable boba shops to Orange County. The store looks cute and updated, clean with 2 ordering kiosks. Service however was extremely lacking and downright rude. My sister and I had traveled four hours up to Paso to visit family and wanted to pick up some boba since this shop had good reviews and was new. We ordered at the kiosk and there was only one other party inside the store. It was 3 of us and we had ordered 5 drinks to take to our family so yes more than 1 per person but also not an insane number. There seemed to be only one young female worker on shift during this time. When our order came through, she looked at the tickets and audibly sighed, and while preparing our drinks continually glared at us while we were waiting. During this time, two additional parties of 2-3 came in as well and to each party she said "You can order at the kiosk, I have a lot of drinks ahead of you to make" When our drinks came out, instead of calling out an order number or the name that we provided on the kiosk she said "here are your FIVE drinks" with a heavy emphasis on the "five". She then turned and walked away to prepare the other parties' drinks before we had a chance to ask for a carrier or a bag. So we grabbed our drinks in our hands and began to walk out and before we even exited the store, she called out "YOU'RE WELCOME" Overall, the drinks were enjoyable but this particular worker was rude and passive aggressive. We're understanding that she was the only person working so she was probably easily overwhelmed but we would have been more understanding of having to wait longer for our drinks than being treated as if we were such inconvenienced. I would have much rather have had to wait 15-20 minutes for our drinks and treated kindly as customers. I think young workers nowadays forget that part of a customer service job is making it so your customer would want to return to spend more money at your establishment. Maybe she had an off day but she shouldn't be taking that out on paying customers. read more

place is not that big but quite unique and clean. order from kiosk and i chose lemonbalm. their description about the drink: 'a soothing herbal infusion with gentle citrus notes and natural honey - like sweetness. this calming tea promotes relaxation, aids digestion, and supports restful sleep. caffeine free' i will say yes, it is herbal infusion and make you relax but never expect that the 'aids digestion' is right ~ lol!!! i never have any problem with my tummy and digestion. you can say always good and have it regularly every day but then, after drinking this lemonbalm, i have to stop at three different rest areas on my way from paso robles to san jose ~ lol!!! believe with what the drink store has written on the description... read more

Yum! My husband and I stopped by on a weekend afternoon. He tried their brown sugar lava milk (regular sweetness, dairy milk), and I had the matcha strawberry milk (coconut milk, light sweetness). We both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. It seems like the setup is to order at a kiosk and then grab your drink when ready- we initially walked to the counter and were redirected. Signs could help with this. I'd love to see more customization options or more menu items over time, especially different flavors of boba and other dairy alternative milks. But the signature drinks that we tried were very, very dialed in. Happy to have this new spot around! read more

I'm having a bit of dilemma. I live about an hour away from this place and have to say I would travel the hour to have the boba here. The drinks are excellent and I believe they have now taken the crown as my top boba drink place in central coast. The cafe is small with only two two top tables and a stand up bar table by the window. It's very relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the matcha lavender cream and it was perfect. Normally, I order my drinks with less sweetness. This was just right as is. Good job Bobar. I hope to come again soon. read more

Opened for nearly two weeks, and it's already my daughter's favorite. Cute and Clean new spot with choices other than boba. The first of its kind in Paso to have not only boba, but lychee, aloe, chia, and crystal boba. The boba was soft and you can tell it's freshly made. Easy order on a screen or cashier then drinks are prepared rather quickly. The staff were friendly and kind. I like my matcha drink but I like it prepared without milk. My daughter loved her brown sugar drink. We only had 2 flavors but excited to try other drinks. We will definitely be returning. read more

Since i'm in the area so decided to stop by to try this new boba spot. The interior and decorate look very clean and aesthetic. I tried their jasmine milk tea (in my opinion it's more creamy taste from the creamer than the tea flavor, but maybe its just me that I like my tea flavor a little stronger). The hokkaido was pretty good (caramel milk tea). I like their osmanthus tea very floral and strong. Hope they can make the osmanthus but in a milk tea version :) read more

I had a great first visit to BoBar on Spring St in Paso Robles! This will be SO nice when it really heats up here later this spring! An easy walk from the downtown park. Between 12th & 13th on Spring. Adjacent to Grapes & Grain. The establishment is very clean & super cute! They have an adorable digital ordering area, but since I was the only customer at the time, they helped me directly at the counter. Employees were cheerful, helpful, and we shared a brief conversation about their favorites. I ordered the pine needle lemonade with no sweetness as I prefer a tart beverage and love pine needles. I appreciated that they asked me if I was sure about zero sweetness - I'm certain many are surprised at pine needle tartness so it's wise they ask just to make sure their customers are aware of what they are ordering. While I love boba, I ordered the pine needle lemonade sans boba balls this time. I will definitely get boba added ($0.75) next time - and also look forward to trying their earl grey boba milk tea since that's another favorite flavor profile. The pine needle lemonade is delicious! Super refreshing! Lots of antioxidants which is what I needed today after an invigorating Physical Therapy session on a warm day! So glad Paso Robles has a quality tea & boba establishment. A Refreshing New Find! Happy to see this new boba spot open up! The location is perfect, and the shop itself is beautiful--the setup is extremely nice and lovely. Beyond the atmosphere, the service really stood out to me. The owners are incredibly kind and friendly; you can tell they truly care about their customers and their new business.
