A few days after our visit, my mom texted me to tell me about how much her Boba cost her because she found her paper receipt in the bottom of her purse. Not only did they add a tip that she did not add herself, they literally charged her extra money for less ice. Is that where we are now? We're charging people more money for less product? I welcome a response from the owners if maybe we misunderstood something, but a tip is earned, not an automatic thing that should be added to every order. And we certainly should not be paying more money for less of something.

After checking out the menu, I decided on the mango passionfruit tea. They give you options on ice and sweetness level which is nice. I got lite ice and 80% sweet. My tea was golden in color. I like my teas sweet so it was at the perfect level of sweetness at 80%. You can taste the mango and passionfruit. There's also passionfruit seeds in the drink. It's very delicious! I look forward to coming back and trying their other drink options on the future. A neat place to do my and grab a sweet treat.

Most disappointing things is that I ordered the spicy dry noodle (what I always order) and it came with the sliced chashu pork vs the chopped pork, despite the online listing stating it is chopped pork (which is what it always was when I ordered it before). It's a small thing, but I don't like the sliced pork, it has a different texture than the chopped pork. So once again disappointed with this place.

I started looking at all their drink options. They have a lot! The two gentleman that were working gave me time to look over the menu. I did have a question about one of the teas. He was also kind to modify the milk for me since I can't have dairy. I did get the Thai tea modified with oat milk. Boy, it is so good! It has the right amount of sweetness to it. It's sweetened with sugar cane vs condensed milk. I don't know the taste difference yet but the sugar cane is a total win for me! I'm not gonna lie, some of the boba pearls were still kind hard but it's ok. With the service and tea I was given, it could have had rocks on the bottom and I would still be happy! I got a chance to talk and interact with Rocky and Austin. It was nice to talk to them and get to know them. I just happened to drive by as I was picking up lunch at nearby Firehouse Subs and I just had to go in and give them a try. There was a really nice guy at the register who assisted me in taking my order and making my drink which came up pretty fast so I didn't spend much time browsing their various CBD products in the cases but I will definitely be back for a more in depth look at them later and for more iced coffee too ofcourse! I also really loved that they had bamboo straws as an option rather than just regular plastic straws that are terrible for the planet. I look forward to returning to their shop as well as seeing them at Boise Hempfest !!!

One cool thing about Bubbles + Boba is that it's sort of a DIY experience. You pick your size and whether you want boba (they have two sweetness options, if you do). Then, they hand you a cup and you head over to the tea and topping bar, where you can add jelly, popping boba, and tea til your cup runneth over with boba-y goodness. When you're done, they'll seal the top for you, and you're off. It was fun! Added more delight than I would have expected it to. Plus, the tea itself was SO tasty. We'll definitely be back!
