Do yourself a favor and don't do business with Bob Wagner Flooring. They do not stand behind their work. They sell nice products but their installation and service is bad. Installed carpet over time became sagging and began to roll and pucker. It took 3 calls to the Middletown store to get help, each time they promised a call back, nothing! Finally someone got back to me via email, no phone calls. They charged me $125 for the service guy to come out and inspect, he was in the house about 5 minutes. After I followed up 2 times, a proposal was sent via e mail, again no phone call. They wanted over $1000 to fix their own work! Needless to say I didn't accept their proposal. We are building a new home in Delaware, many miles from our present home. We were very fortunate to work with Kay Kennel at Bob Wagner in Middletown to order shades for the new home. Kay was very knowledgeable about the Hunter Douglas Shades that we ordered. She helped us through the selection process using FaceTime to include both of us in the selection. She even arranged for early measurement while our home was under construction so we would have window coverings when we actually move in. Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up. We used Bob Wagner's Flooring America to refinish our wood floor. A year later there are huge gaps in the floor and they refuse to come look at it. they said it's the humidity but when I asked them why they would do floors in this area if humidity was a problem they just said, we are done with you. They don't respond to phone calls either. Ask any of their installers and they will tell you they are tired of customers being mad at them because the company doesn't return calls until you call over and over and over and... There are a lot of good flooring companies around, I'd recommend you use someone else. Hope this saves someone else from grief. read more

Our new carpet experience was perfect from start to finish. When my husband and I went to the store we were greeted right away and taken care of. Bill B. helped us pick the best carpet for our needs. He was extremely knowledgeable about carpeting and padding. We even took home a swatch so we could live with it for a few days to make sure it was the color we wanted. The installation was perfect as well... the crew came out right on time they had given us. They were very courteous. They worked efficiently and cleaned up wonderfully after themselves. They installed my hardwood flooring which I purchased thru a builder (Thompson - 3 Season LLC). Within a week of closing, the floor was cracking and creaking. The builder was slow to respond and then it took months for Wagners to arrive. They refused to correct it and took 6 mos to send me a letter saying it wasnt their issue. I had another contractor review the issue and determined the flooring was cupping due to install when humidity was wrong- how is that NOT their fault... Litigation begins. read more

Asked them to come out for an estimate to replace a hardwood floor. I had to chase them to come out and visit, and then the installer didn't even bother to take measurements. I'm guessing they just didn't want the work. Either way, not a very impressive customer service experience. read more

Run - don't walk - away from this business! There are two parts to this review ... Although our salesperson, Carol, was fabulous in helping us to choose and design a porcelain floor for our new, large kitchen, we had problems with their installers. They chose to their own "lay-out" rather than our chosen one, which resulted in Wagner's having to contract another installer to fix one of the problems. Unfortunately, there was an area that could not be fixed so my husband had to "build out" walls to cover the tile mistakes. The manager, C. D., was very helpful regarding all of these floor problems and had even asked US to allow THEM to do the installation of our backsplash, which we were going to give to another company. I give this portion of my review a 3 star. BACKSPLASH was scheduled by C.D. and cancelled by him three times for all kinds of reasons. The problems are that he wasn't communicating with us as he kept promising and MORE IMPORTANTLY, according to the installer, he wasn't even communicating with HIM. So the installer said he wasn't even made aware that he was supposed to be doing our work on these scheduled dates. If I could give a 0 star review here, I would! I gave this job to a fabulous tile setter not affiliated with Wagner's. I had originally been quoted on carpet from them and was going to buy blinds as well, but I called Carol to say we would be getting elsewhere. read more

We recently purchased an expensive backsplash from Bob Wagners and contracted with them to install it. Unfortunately, the installers made an "honest" error and installed the interchangeable backsplash vertically instead of horizontally. The owner (Matt Wagner) called us and immediately resolved the matter "beyond" our satisfaction. He even called the following week to check in with us. Although an error was made, the installers performed excellent work and Bob Wagners "STANDS" by their work. They use superior products and customer satisfaction is their priority. The salesperson/designer, Pat Botag is excellent. read more

Carol at the Middletown store really knows all about flooring and window treatments , made us feel that Bob Wagners cared about making us happy from start to finish about the investment that we were making to our home. She answered all of my questions, explained the process of purchase, installing floors, and the window treatments installion, the site prep, moving furniture, all of the time the workers would need to complete the project.
