I had a great experience buying my certified used Explorer back in April. My salesman, Ryan was nothing but attentive, kind and knowledgeable, as was everyone else I interacted with at the dealership. There was a minor issue with a sensor, but I was assured that it was probably ok, and would reset itself. I felt good knowing that even if it didn't, my vehicle had a certified warranty. Well the sensor never reset, and I continuously had the "Collision warning system unavailable' error message come up. Long story short, I had to end up getting it serviced. I live at least a good hour and a half from Sherman, so it would have been a major inconvenience for me to return to Bob Utter and then sit and wait for them to repair, or even worse drive there and have to drive back and forth. Ryan made sure to make all of this as painless as possible. He agreed to meet me a little more than halfway, got my car serviced and made sure I had a courtesy car to drive for the duration of my repair. He answered quickly when I needed an update on the status of my repairs. He made sure that my Explorer was returned to me working properly, and clean and full of gas. He took the time to explain the adaptive cruise control to me. I really appreciate Ryan's thoroughness, attention to detail and integrity. I was on my way home from Arkansas. I added DEF to my 2023 Ford and it did not resent the sensor. I stopped by your location to get a quick diagnosis check with a code reader. They would not let me talk to a technician. They insisted they were too far behind to give me 10 minutes of their time and told me I needed to leave my truck. I am unable to leave my truck. I had 12 miles left of DEF, so I turned around and went to Blake Utter Ford down the road. They were more than willing to help. Your customer service is terrible. Get them to sign a waiver in your best interest, before they touch your property, because in my circumstances, they did Not have my car under a carport or in the many large garages on site, most likely due to laziness or not concerned about my my property, and will not take responsibility for hail damage! On Monday, June 16, 2025, right before 10 am, I drop my car off at Bob Utter in Sherman at the Quick Lane for an oil change, tire rotation, tire fix, and the fuel system cleaner that I was told needed to be done every 5000 miles. I told him I would be dropping it off as I had errands to run. He understood, grabbed his tablet, and headed out my car as they usually do. At around noon, I got a text informing me my car was ready. I get to the dealership; I get told my tires, washer fluid, and battery were all good. I get in my car, drive to end the of the road and something catches my eye from the glisten of the sun on my windshield. I look closer and in the middle of my windshield there is an 12-inch crack that was not there when I dropped off my car. I immediately turn the corner on the sideroad of 82 and immediately try to find my way back as I had driven down a one way. Moments later, I return to Quick Lane, and I inform the young lady working the front desk that there is a crack in my windshield that was not there when I dropped my car off. She turns to tell a man who sits on the right as you walk-in, she later informed me he was the manager. She relays the information that I told to her, to him and he saying nothing to me, grabs a paper off the counter, and heads out to my car to check the damage. A moment later, he comes in and says, "there is no way our machine would do that."  From there I ask him to check the cameras because that crack was not there before I handed over my car. He processed to take the paper he had grabbed before leaving out of the door and goes to where other cars are being worked on. When he returns, he shows me a handwritten note on the paper that says, "window cracked." Mind you, before I initially left, he had flipped through those papers and I do not recall anything being handwritten on his paper as he had flipped through it to tell me about my tires, washer fluid, and battery as they always do before they release my car to me. I then ask him again to check the cameras. The manager proceeds to go to the office and returns maybe 10/15minutes later and says, "the cameras where my car was at are out."  At this point I ask him if the gentleman who took my information for my car beforehand had taken pictures as in the past they did before my car was taken to which he said he did not this time. I proceed to ask how the situation would be resolved, and I had also checked my cameras at my home and you could clearly see there was no crack before I left home. The manager then told me to go to the building at the front where you turn in and speak with Anthony Travis, "he will get you taken care of." I head over and ask a gentleman if I could speak to Anthony Travis and informed him as to why I was asking for him. I proceed to sit down in the chairs as I was told Anthony had stepped out to grab lunch. As I sit in the chairs, I see a gentleman straight up the stairs in a glass office, aggressively talking on the phone and then slamming it down as if he was frustrated. He then leaves his office with the gentleman I told my issue to and he's waving his arms around until the guy says, "this is her." He does not introduce himself, he just says, "let's go look at it." As we are walking out to my car I proceed to tell him the quicker version of what happened. I dropped my car off, picked it up and noticed the crack in the windshield and before I could finish, he cuts me off and says, "I'm not buying you a windshield. That's what your insurance is for. There's a rock chip and the heating and cooling from outside and the water must have caused this. I'm not buying it." I proceeded to say, "well someone is going to handle this because my car was not like this when I dropped it off." I go back and forth with the unidentified "manager over service" until it gets so bad that I tell him he is being unprofessional due to me simply wanting a solution as to why my car was left with a cracked windshield. From the attitude given before he even walked out of his office to the whole interaction, I knew nothing could possibly be handled with him, so I asked for someone higher, reasonable, and willing to understand that I just want an answer to exactly what happened. A few minutes, Jim or Jack appears, and I explain to him the situation. I tell him I know it was not done intentionally but still feel as though something needs to be done due to this happening while my car was not in my possession. I once again tell the situation thinking I could get some sort of resolve and was met with absolutely nothing but "our machine would never do this, although we cannot prove it did or did not happen due to the cameras being out. We won't make it right." If you decide to use Quick Lane please take your own pictures of your vehicle so you aren't left to pay for others negligence as I am. *my drivers rear was low before. For Bob Utter Kia sales team. Had a Kia sales person which was strange since we were in the market for a new f150. It seemed like they didn't know how fords worked and kept having to go back and forth between Kia and ford buildings to talk to the ford manager, which felt like a big waste of my time. The kicker is when we started asking questions to follow up at the desk we were told "do you want me to help you? Because I don't have to if you don't want me to help you." Needless to say we walked out. I've never met someone so rude at a car dealership, I was shocked my entire ride home at the treatment we were given. Now looking at reviews I can see why. Mainly I wanted to know why the pictures show a light on the dash that sates auto start/stop needs service and to see if this has been addressed or not? Rather than confirming or denying it has been done the second poor excuse for a sales rep named Mike ph# 903-487-5673 just said all they need to do is reset the code with no regard for actually doing the service. Like he would do the same to his wife's XC60 and if so his wife should wake up and realize what a dead beat he is and divorce him because I can smell his shadiness all the way from Colorado. Do not buy and find another dealership as there are always plenty of used cars and dealers to choose from instead of these dead beats!!! Talk about pathetic/entitled salaried customer service reps. Time to put them back on commission to make them hungry for a sale and more competent especially after wasting those advertising dollars on Carfax and other sites just so those worthless sales reps can screw up another cash buyer that was ready to give a down payment and start paperwork even site unseen. I took my car, to have a routine coolant change, and dropped it off with Phillip, who was very professional. I called after 1.5 hours to check on it and was told the tech was "out driving it". Having worked on cars most of my life, I found it unusual that they would need to drive my car for a routine coolant change, but ok. I arrived to pick it up 30 minutes later and was told "he just got back", which I found even more unusual that the tech would have my car out driving it for that long. I paid for my service, and walked out to my car. I decided to pop the hood to take a look at the new (different color) coolant. I immediately noticed the coolant level was low, below the "cold fill" line while clearly hot. I returned to the cashier and asked if I could speak to a manager. The cashier, who was very friendly called for a supervisor. A younger service employee (Triston?) met me at my car and asked "what's wrong"? I asked if he was the manager, and he said no and further stated no managers were available. I explained that the coolant level was low, and he had the tech come out. The tech, who looked like he just rolled out of bed challenged the assertion that the coolant was low. I had to explain it was below the cold fill line, while hot. Noticeably irritated, he poured coolant in and actually overfilled it. By that time, I noticed my car (a rare, high performance Mustang), had 10 miles on it. I asked the service advisor why the car had to be driven 10 miles, and he stated that "It's not like we go hot-rodding it", and explained they just drive cars down 82 to 1417 once on a test drives. That would make sense, but the car had more than 2x the miles needed for that test drive. What was he out doing in my car?? Once I started my car, I noticed my average fuel economy had dropped 4 mpg in only 10 miles! Using the fuel data stored on the car computer, I found that during the last 5 minutes of drive time, the car was driven *extremely hard*. Because I denied the opportunity to speak to a manager, I had no recourse but to leave. Once I arrived home, the service paperwork indicated the wrong mileage and showed it wasn't driven at all! Because the mileage indicted it wasn't driven, I suspect the tech wasn't supposed to "test drive" cars at all. I know my cars have *never* been test drove for any routine service in the past. *** Service Department *** The service performed here is questionable. I took my Ford in 1/19/22 for a 4 wheel computerized alignment after replacing several suspension components myself (shocks, struts, control arms, sway bar links, etc.). Upon arrival, all the entrances to the service bays were closed at the Quick Lube service area because it was "cold". No service advisor to greet you, no sign or mention to come into the small office where the gossipy cashiers and service advisors are, and just several retired folks lounging around behind the service desks. I finally deal with Matt, who was very friendly and assured me they will do the alignment and a multi-point inspection. I decide to drop my vehicle off because the one guy that knows how to do alignments is busy. I call on Friday 1/22/22 to see if the vehicle is ready and finally get a call back that afternoon saying it's ready to go. After my long drive from Anna to Sherman, I arrive and am ready to pickup my car. They tell me everything was done and ready to go at the cashiers desk. Everyone got defensive when I asked to get the print out of the alignment that was performed. Usually, you get a print out of how bad the camber/caster/toe was in a page with a schematic of the tires with green, red, and gray boxes with the measurements. They had to I guess re-do some paperwork and while they showed it to me, they said they could not "give me the print out due to insurance purposes". I'm not too sure what that means? After requesting a copy , I get a black and white copy while they keep the originals stapled together. I ask if the multi-point inspection was done and was told "yes, everything looked good and all fluids were topped off". LIES. They did not inspect the vehicle, top off fluids, and I question if they even did the alignment. I got home, popped the hood and noticed the washer fluid was still empty, coolant level was low, and my dirty engine air filter was not mentioned nor signs of the slight power steering leak form the reservoir. On 1/28 I ended up going to another Ford dealership for a state inspection/oil change and they did provide me with a print out of the 27 point inspection they did with some additional recommendations my vehicle might need in the future. I don't know how sales conducts business at Bob Utter Ford, but be very weary of their service department. Please check if they actually do the maintenance or service and be ready to be lied to your face all in an effort to get you out the door as quickly and friendly as possible until you ask questions. That's where they change their tone real quick. I noticed the customer base is more of the elderly crowd and fleet vehicles for maintenance/service - so I hope they're not taking advantage of those whom are not mechanically inclined such as myself. I had a very negative experience on Monday when trying to buy a KIA. My salesperson Mike was awesome and helpful. My negative experience was with Dustin the finance manager. Dustin was very nice at first, but when I asked to put the deal on pause (very close to closing, so I understand him being frustrated) his attitude completely changed. He started slamming papers around, making sarcastic comments (when I said I planned to come back the next day to buy the car he said "well I don't know now", and after confirming that I qualified for the best interest rate previously he said "well now I want to charge you xxx interest" which was 1.5 % higher than what I qualified for through KIA), and yelling out to Mike "this should have all be discussed before I even got involved". Overall it soured my whole experience and left me on the salesfloor sobbing at 6 months pregnant while my 4 year old looked on trying to figure out what was wrong. Mike was very nice, apologized for Dustin's behavior, and even gave me a hug. The next day Mike also called me, apologized again and said that the issue was being addressed with management and if I came in to buy the car I would be able to deal with someone else for the financing. I ended up buying the car from another dealership because I just couldn't see myself going back there after the way I was treated. read more

My husband and I stop by Bob Utter Ford today looking to purchase a F150. They actually had the Truck we were looking to buy and we started to negotiate. Our salesperson Terry Thomas explained that there was a $2500 discount plus a $1500 rebate from Ford. When he came back to talk to us manager, he had three brochures explained that all of their trucks now have a windshield protection, fabric protection and dent protection costing $2999. I let him know we did not want any of those items , so he went back to his manager. He came back and said that the $2999 actually includes tint. But then also told us at the same time that his manager would not sell us the truck without us buying the 2999 package!! He told us the manager could not believe that the truck was discounted $2500. Needless to say, we walked out. I'm not gonna be told I have to buy a certain package in order to buy a truck from a dealership. I felt bad for our salesman Terry he was amazing and very knowledgeable and because the sales manager said we had to buy this package, he lost a sale! read more

If I could give Bob Utter Ford zero or negative stars I would. This dealership doesn't honor its own word. They make promises they have no intention of keeping and try to gaslight you. The service advisor Damon (more like Demon) is rude and condescending. He has no honor and doesn't like to be called out on his lies. He couldn't lay straight in bed!! He told me that he drove my car for 30 miles (using my gas) and there was no problems... I started my car and it had the check engine light was flashing. They didn't do anything to it and in fact they may have made it worse. I was told that I would be getting a loaner car and they took photos of my drivers license, credit card and auto insurance, but once they found it the car was being towed back to Oklahoma, they said that I would not be getting a car. In fact "it was a mistake and the car was for someone else"!!! When Damon asked me what do I want him to do. I said that word was given and word should be honored, to which Damon said "don't start with that honor crap with me!" 1 star, unfortunately, is the least it will allow me to give. WORST experience of my life with any dealership. I had our 2019 Kia Forte towed into the dealership because the motor was revving but wouldn't accelerate on April 18th. I was contacted on the 19th and told there was damage to the bumper, wiring harness, alternator, amongst other items. My daughter had hit a raccoon 7 days prior to this, so I assumed it was the alternator causing the issue. Due to the verbal estimate I was given, I decide to file a claim on my insurance. The adjuster was at the dealership the next business day. I had to push to get the dealership the estimate. They were doing no follow up, and the adjuster had sent the estimate twice. They finally begin ordering parts. Parts were not backordered, it was the dealership dragging their feet. 3 1/2 weeks later I'm told the car would be ready on that Friday. Friday came and went. I was told the bumper was all that was left and it was in the paint booth. The car would be ready on Monday morning. I call that morning to get an approximate time and am told they were waiting on the body shop. 11:25, still waiting. 11:58, after me telling them I would call the body shop myself, they tell me it's on the way to the dealership. 2PM, I'm told they can't get to it that day and it would be tomorrow. Words were said, and I head to Sherman telling them that I will put it on myself if I have to. 4 weeks and 3 days at this point. David Pryor, the service manager, left a lot to be desired. He was dismissive, not sympathetic, and made me feel like I was just wasting his time. They call me on the way to tell me that they found another part broken and it would now be Wed before the car was ready. They did at least provide a rental at this point. Wed, they call to say they are bringing the car to me, but had to return to the dealership because they rpms were up and the car wouldn't accelerate. I LOSE it at this point. This is what I had the car towed to them for FIVE weeks earlier. They never looked at the original problem... they got hung up on a broken bumper. They try telling me that the raccoon hit the transmission, caused fluid to leak, and ultimately caused the tranny to fail. I had NO fluid leaked in my driveway during the 7 days after the raccoon was hit. I called and asked to speak to the general manager and the owner, and was told they weren't available. I called KIA directly at this point. They reassessed and decided that it was in fact a warranty issue. They took the first call from KIA then refused to speak to them again. SEVEN weeks and 2 hours after receiving the car, we finally get it back, with wires hanging down under the dash and the LoJack not working. I send pictures... crickets. I call twice and am finally sent to the general manager. Between him and LoJack, we finally get everything back working and in place. I spent around 18 hours on the phone and texting, and additional 2500 miles on my car running everyone to work, have a claim on my insurance that wasn't necessary, $500 for the deductible, and many many sleepless nights over this. I have to post a star to get my review posted. Should be a negative 3. Oddly the first post is 5 stars and 4 years old, how convenient. The next 6-8 are current and one star. I am 65, 3 years of advanced automotive in high school, not mechanically stupid, similar to David in Anna. Davids's post 2-1-22 documents lies and deceit. Candy's post 3-21-22 documents delayed, too slow, or no service. Rick's post 2-17-22 documents broken appointments Justin's post 2022 documents deceitful paperwork processes Rachel's post 1-7-21 documents incompetence and deceit. ALL document little to no communication effort from the dealership. I already had my truck assessed at my local shop, who is almost as trustworthy as God. They told me I needed a new timing chain but did not want to do the work because it also involved turbo chargers and they did not feel qualified to do the work. THAT my friends is honesty!!! Said cost should be around $2K. If you are near Sherman TX, Ellis Auto is the bomb for mechanical work!!!! INCREDIBLY TRUSTWORTHY! I went to Utter, (documented for upcoming BBB complaint) August 23, 2021 for the fix. Roy, in a somewhat arrogant manner said will be at least $22-2500. After a 27 point inspection (which I did not request), I needed a new timing chain, a new right side turbo charger, a new vacuum pump, and because they had to remove the water pump for the fix, I should put a new one on. Again, 3 years of advanced automotive, I actually agreed with this one. Would be stupid to put a 145K mile water pump back in. In addition to all that, I also needed new rear brakes. Not sure how that plays with needing a new timing chain. $$$ Eight months later, no new rear brakes, and no squeal, let alone grinding. Took nearly a week to get it looked at, cost me $700 in rental fees because I work from a vehicle. I authorized all but the brakes. Two weeks later, we came to head because they had no answer and I needed a vehicle. I went up front and suddenly they realized they needed to do something. To their credit, they did keep me in a loaner so I could work. I won't gripe that the "loaners" were vehicles for sale, and I had to change out 3 times because the vehicle I was driving was sold. Week 3, work done, testing vehicle, cannot get new turbo charger to boost. Need a new turbo charger now on the left side. Gave me a quote of $5700 out the door. I had no choice at this point. Week 4, truck sitting outside. Inquired of status, "we're working on it". Week 5, second turbo in, cannot get either turbo to boost. They swapped sensors from one to the other and back after no improvement. I suggested they bring in someone from Ford service. Told them I was not paying for 2nd turbo. Was told by both Roy and David, would not be charged. WAS charged for it. On my invoice, headed to BBB. Week 6, still unable to find the problem. Bringing in new advanced field tech. New tech unable to find the problem, initially. Then found the problem. A bad wire connection inside the connector. FACE TO FACE, EYE TO EYE, I asked service manager David Pryor what was the function of this wire. Looked me right in the eye and said, "tells the turbos when to boost". Why did I wait 6 weeks, and pay for untold unnecessary parts and labor because of a wire connection? Week 7, they were wrapping up. They took my truck to wash it and fill it up. Quit on them on the way back. David Pryor told me they were going to install a new engine wiring harness at no charge. End of week 7, truck in on 8-23-21, picked up truck on Friday 10-21-21. EIGHT FREAKING WEEKS. Drove my truck home, very happy to have it back, parked it in my driveway. Week 8, Monday 10-24-21, driving my truck to work, half mile from my house, pull out onto a busy HI way, truck stalls, goes into "idle" Ford calls it. Pull over, park, turn off, turn on, truck runs fine. Drive to Utter, they say throttle body bad, would be my second in less that 2 years. Told them I would not pay for, OK. Off I go. Seven months later, and a myriad of nuisance electrical issues, oil sensor says no flow at idle one day, but goes weeks before doing it again, starter won't engage first time or two, then does, running boards won't lower, but then do, never a pattern to put your finger on. Multiple electrical problems, inconsistent and intermittent. If it does not do it at the shop, they will not find the issue. ALL after the wiring harness was replaced. Month 7, truck finally would not start one day. Purchase a new battery, $220, no start. Called Ellis, they advised give it back to Utter. Had truck towed from Plano to Sherman 5/2. Jason service writer. Explained all issues, and that David Pryor was very familiar with my vehicle. Asked about timeline for assessment, Jason said maybe tomorrow 5/3 but likely 5/4. Truck still sitting in back lot 5/5. Rental costing me $150 day. Left message for Jason. Jason responded, other customers in front, don't care about yours. read more

1 star business or maybe a 2. I would say may sales experience with the salesman Terry was pretty good. Very personal individual attentive, knowledgeable and seemed to listen. HOWEVER, paperwork- My dealings with the Finance Manager Dustin was terrible and am of the opinion what he attempted to do was completely intentional and unethical. When we initially sat down, I informed Dustin that I am purchasing the truck and are not interested at all in any other warranties. Nor am I interested in service plans other than what Ford provides with the truck. Despite this being the case, Dustin pushed too hard to sell a warranty on the electronics. Then proceeded to tell me that an extended purchased warranty or service plan would cover any items that come up on the truck. And it would not matter if I made any engine or drivetrain modifications which we all know is not true. This despite me specifically telling him up front when we sat down, I appreciate any options you have however let's save each other's time. In the BUYERS ORDER Dustin prepared the itemization on the amount financed, selling price and all pertinent financials. On said document Dustin attempted to include their Premier Guard/Blue Steel and the gap insurance. Between the both +- 4K. Why this is so wrong is that Dustin started talking about what each document I was signing and then quickly turned it over to sign on the back side. Fortunate for me I caught this, and the items were both removed from my documents, however without a doubt it changed the mood I the office we needed to complete the paperwork. When I asked him to better explain, he quickly pulled the buyers order back and threw it in his shredder pile Just remember... Bob Utter Pledges to you the Customer Bill of Rights!!!... You have the right to honest info, thorough explanation of finance/purchases, prompt and efficient service with a genuine concern for your time, tight to choose what I want. And best of all... You have the right to expect us to keep our promises to you!! Its rather comical. I grew up in a small town and this isn't how small town businesses treat people, definitely not in Texas. Tried buying a bronco that had been sitting for 60 plus days. They said the last buyer fell through because of financing so it was priced to sell. We were excited it was a fair price. Well after 6 days of dealing with this place we realized why the previous potential buyer fell through. They have been burned before for $200,000 in the past so they wouldn't release the car even though our bank had sent proof of funds, a copy of the check that was mailed and talked to Dustin in finance multiple times. Well this wasn't a car we needed it was an extra one for fun. So I hope the GM has fun throwing money down the drain every day that car sits. We will have no problem buying a different bronco at a dealership that knows how to handle business. I would have totally understood not releasing the car before speaking to our bank and seeing a copy of the check that was mailed. But after 6 days of waiting and then trying to get a check overnighted instead I was like what are we doing going over and beyond for a place when we don't even have the bronco in our possession? I've been given cars for the weekend to see how I like it with NO paperwork done lol. This place is a joke. So good luck if you go here. If you have to buy from here definitely try financing through the dealership that seems to be your best bet since Dustin is zero help. Sad because the sales guy was super great and couldn't go over his GM that "had been burned" in the past. 3 strikes your out!!! Used this body shop in past and work was ok after they redone it a few times. When in to get an estimate on my truck and the female appraiser was very rude. Talk to management they defended his employee. Had hail damage from last storm and insurance company let me pick a shop to get estimates/repairs. I chose Bob Utter Collision to give them another chance. Well they called me the next day after my insurance company put it in the system. Bob Utter Collision contacted me to let me know that they were busy and not to bring my 2 vehicles in if I wasn't going to let them fixed them. So I will choose to have my vehicles repair elsewhere for now on and might have to buy them elsewhere also although I have a great salesman. If Bob Utter doesn't want to provide quality service in their body shop I will spend my money elsewhere and encourage you to do the same. read more

I purchased a 2019 "new" Ford Ranger from Tommy Ellis. I say "new" because it was previously used as a loaner vehicle for the dealership so it had about 2,400 miles on it. You'll find that the dealership is split from Sherman and Denison and if you show up to the wrong location, you get to drive back and forth (roughly a 15 minute drive one way). Not a huge deal, just inefficient and a waste of time. They gave a lowball offer for my trade-in (significantly lower than the KBB instant cash value price), but I accepted it. They listed the vehicle on their website for just under three times more than what they offered within a couple days. I didn't much care for negotiating with the sales manager who proceeded to just walk away while talking. It may be a negotiating tactic, albeit a rude one. The finance manager, Chris McClour, was probably the best finance person I'd ever worked with. He offered the standard extended warranties and gap insurance pitch, but in no way did he push it further when you said no. He was the best interaction I had during the entire process. Speaking of finance, I opted to use the Ford financing since you get an additional $750 rebate for doing so. My credit score was 815. The rate they gave me was 7.4%. Read that again. Credit score of 815 gets an APR of 7.4%. Wtf kind of rate do you get if your credit score was in the 600s? 20%??? Are they using a loan shark? Whoever did the tint job on the driver side window applied the tint on top of some writing on the window. They had to remove it and reapply the tint. How that happened to begin with was a solid "not my job". When asked how long that would take, I was told 20 minutes. In reality, it took 40 minutes. I had been there four hours by this point. The tint they redid has a bunch of bubbles at the top. They tacked on $299 onto the cost of the truck for tint. For $299, I would expect a better job. The rear windows and back windows came standard with privacy glass and no tint was applied to those windows. It was $299 for TWO windows, the driver and passenger. I've had an entire SUV tinted (all 4 windows + massive sunroof + rear) tinted for $300 with a lifetime warranty included. Complete ripoff that comes with poor workmanship. There's also no way to remove this charge since they just go ahead and do it to their vehicles. The charge isn't listed online, but when you show up, your financial sheet will have an additional $299 on it for tint. Go ahead and add that amount to whatever price you see online. The vehicle itself was not detailed or cleaned prior to being available for purchase. There were still loaner contracts in the glovebox and dirt / scratches / scuffs inside. My biggest gripe is I have been trying to reach Tommy to address a few minor issues I found with the truck. I have left him a voicemail on his cell AND on his office phone, two different days. Four days later, still no callback. They take your money and then disappear off the face of the earth. I'll update this review if they ever actually call back, which I highly doubt. read more

DONT GO!!!! So they messed up changing my oil and cause the Rod Barring (which means new motor) to go out.. they refuse to replace it! I won't be back!! now I will have to see about getting a new car or replace my motor! The code that showed up was P0011: What causes the P0011 code? The oil is too thick causing the passages to become clogged due to lack of oil flow to and from the camshaft phasers. If they changed my oil then it shouldn't be this issue!! They won't listen to you and the owner states that because he's a business owner that he knows more than the 2 mechanics that I've had looks at it! Worst customer service ever. My F150 broke down on 2/16 & I had it towed to Bob Utter in Sherman since it was the closest Ford dealer. Went in & talked with the service advisor about the problem and left my name and phone number. I called in on 2/17 to check on it, left a voice message but never got a call back. Called back later that day & finally someone answered. Said they were waiting on a part but it would be in Monday 2/21 and my truck should be finished that day. Monday came & went. I called back on Tuesday 2/22, left a message but never got a return call. Called in on Thursday 2/24, talked to the service advisor, said they'd just got the truck in the shop and they were working on it as we speak. Should be done late that day or the next. Waited until Monday 2/28, called in, left a message but never got a call back. Ugh. Gave up on calling at that point. Friday 3/4, I happened to drive by & saw my truck sitting out in the parking lot. I went in and asked if it was done, girl behind counter said it was finished yesterday. I asked why no one had called me to come get it. She didn't have an answer. Had service scheduled for 3 days they call the day before after confirming the appointment 3 days ago telling me they could not see the vehicle on Friday. Said they could see me the middle of the next week. Informed them I work out of town and that is why I made the appointment on a Friday I would be in town. I am normally not in town till Friday night. Suggested I wait till the following week. I told them I could not. In addition while looking at their new vehicle pricing was not happy to see the "market mark up" of $5,000 to $10,000 on the vehicle I would consider. Decided that day I would never purchase a vehicle from a dealer that takes does business this way. I would be very wary of any Utter dealership. read more

Bob Utter Ford is one of the best dealers I have had the pleasure to do business with. The staff greeted me as I walked in with my kids and I never felt as if I was just a tick mark for the day. Sales Consultant Tommy is the right mixture of honesty and helpfulness and was never pushy to make a sale. He spent a good amount of time running back and forth for various keys and was able to expertly balance my needs to the dealers needs when it was time to make a deal. Another testament to the staff is I needed to run across a busy street to use an ATM. A staff member instead had offered his personal vehicle to drive across the street instead. Called at 8:30am and requested a truck be held, had my financing arraigned, agreed on price, just needed to get off work and go do the paperwork... So busy selling cars no one was notified to hold the vehicle, it wasn't picked up and moved to Bill lot from Blake lot, and it was sold out from under me. Just a, "I'm sorry"....it must be nice to be so busy selling cars that taking care of a lifetime customer was inconvenient, the service dept. lost my business several years ago, but I still bought vehicles there. Very disappointed, but I found a truck at Classic of Texoma and was treated very well. I cannot say enough great things about this dealership! I spent over a month choosing the truck I wanted and shopping every Ford dealer in a four state area. From the moment I contacted Chris Hathcock, he was professional, responsive and when i asked for their lowest price the first time HE ACTUALLY GAVE IT TO ME! He was accommodating of my bus schedule and made the three hour drive down to Sherman worth it! The buying process was easy and fun and the dealer I dealt with was just as good as Chris. The finance guy was also great and made sure I knew what everything was and didn't try to hard sell me on extended warranties and alike. Took a commercial vehicle to the service center and after 2 weeks they said they wouldn't fix recalls because it's not "under warranty". Since when does a vehicle need to be under warranty to have a recall fixed??? Also the service counter guy said the 4 wheel drive transfer case needed to be replaced. IT IS A 2 WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK!
