We had a terrible experience. Sales rep was very nice but inexperienced. The Finance Manager and Sales Manager were condescending and not transparent, in my opinion. They exemplified the reason people hate buying cars at a dealer. The constant feeling you are not being told the truth and you have to go through the whole "game" to include walking out and then the sales manager chases you down in the parking lot. I brought my vehicle there on four different occasions in which they finally diagnose the issue as excessive road force and stating the tires needed to be replaced however, they would not warranty replace them and told me I had to directly go through the tire manufacturer. Sounded odd so I reached out to a few other dealers and they said no that is not the practice in procedures to replace tires under warranty due to the fact your vehicle is a 2026 with less than 800 miles on it and should be covered by the factory warranty. So Bob Steele Chevrolet refused to service the vehicle and is an extremely poor business practice. While I appreciate that the service agent initially greeted me promptly and assisted right away, communication and follow-up throughout the process were significantly lacking. After my vehicle was assessed by the service technician, it was parked outside and I waited approximately two hours without any updates. When I inquired about the delay, I was informed that the dealership was waiting for approval from the warranty company. At no point was I proactively advised of this delay or that the approval process could take several hours, despite my remaining on site. Ultimately, I left and returned at a later date after being informed that parts would need to be ordered to replace the tire. I then made an additional trip to the dealership for installation. However, the issue with the wheel itself has still not been addressed, despite multiple visits. To date, I have also received no communication regarding whether the warranty claim was approved or denied, and I am still awaiting a definitive response. Given the repeated visits, lack of communication, and unresolved issue, I have reached a point where I am strongly considering driving over an hour to another dealership to have this matter resolved. read more

This place is the worst about keeping appointments and communication. I had an appointment for a recall at 12:00. It is now 10 til 4 and it still isn't finished. They told me two hours when I got here. They also said they would text with any updates. I have not received anything. I had to go track someone down and get answers. I brought in an oil change coupon from another dealership and asked the customer service representative if they would honor it. She said she would check and let us know. However, they completed the work on our vehicle before informing us that they wouldn't accept the coupon because the Chevy app had already updated, indicating that the car had 100% oil life. Despite this, the representative was eager to sell us a cabin filter and injector treatment for $250. They even indicated a "fail" on the service report to promote upselling, but when I asked for more details, she couldn't provide any. I used to recommend this place, but not anymore. read more

When I finally took time off of work and drove the long distance to purchase this car with my offer in-hand, I was met with the shameful tactic, "There is no way we can sell this car at this low price." Why would Bob Steelership play this aggravating and dishonest game? I can only conclude that these sleazy salesmen think if I they deceive 100 customers and one is stupid enough to fall for it, it is worth it. They have deceptive business practices. I traded in my car and asked for 12,000 and settled for 11,000. I mistakenly relied on them to honor the agreement when I signed the agreement electronically. When I got time the next day and went over the paperwork I saw they gave me only 10,000 in trade. I confronted them that next weekend and they said because I got a 1000 in a tax deduction because I had a trade in they added that to what they said they gave me to the trade in. They gave me money that was already mine as part of the trade in for my car. Very deceptive car pricing! I have seen Bob Steele Chevrolet post cars on Car Gurus and have been tricked by their "low" pricing. Upon contacting their internet sales person through Car Gurus, I the actual price was not as listed. A Sorrento that is currently listed at $16,100 is actually only that price if you qualify for $3,000 in savings from financing, a trade-in AND military discount. The ACTUAL price when I inquired was $19,400. The term they used when emailing me back about the price was that the car could be "as low as $16,100." Had Bob Steele listed their actual price on Car Gurus of $19,400, it would have been labeled as "overpriced" on their site instead of "great deal." (See pictures.) They list their vehicles below what the actual price is to get you in the door. I have noticed this on previous car postings from Bob Steele so it's not their first rodeo with deceiving the public. When it first happened back in April, I called them out for being deceitful and you know what they did? They actually blocked me from leaving a review on Car Gurus because they knew I wasn't happy. My girlfriend bought a car from here several years ago and was given free oil changes and tire rotations for life. She has only taken her car to this particular shop to get any work done. Fast forward to now, where she is dating a car girl who notices EVERYTHING and I am incredibly frustrated with this service department. I went to replace her brake pads and rotors last week, and this is where I have noticed the complete disregard of the service department's work. First, every single wheel well had deep scratches on the rims due to negligence when taking the lug nuts out. Secondly, I was unable to loosen any of the lug nuts with a breaker bar. In fact, the lug nuts were over-torqued SO MUCH that my breaker bar attachment sheared in half. While failing to be able to take the tire off, I noticed there was a nail in her tire so I decided to take it into the service department to see if it needed replaced, AND honestly to get them to correctly torque each wheel. When the service department finished, I returned to the car to find the glove box open, and the locking lug key completely missing. I asked if they had it and they began looking in their shop, but I ended up finding it STILL on the rim! THANK GOD I noticed this because it easily could have created more damage to the already scratched wheels, it could have flown off and caused damage to someone else's' vehicle, AND if that key was lost, I would have incurred hundreds of dollars having to buy a whole new locking set and to get the prior locks removed. Thank god I found it. Now while I was still there, I asked the tech that worked on my car what they torqued the lugs to and he stated "100ft lb/TQ" and I thought sweet, that's exactly what my personal car is and I know that I will be able to take them off. Well today I tried to loosen the lugs again, and ONCE AGAIN they were WAAAY OVERLY torqued that I snapped ANOTHER adaptor on my breaker bar and no amount of jumping on the spare tire lug wrench will even loosen these lugs. 100ft lb or torque?? -YEA FREAKIN RIGHT. I am so irritated at the lack of attention to detail this shop has, I am frustrated that there seems to be no one to look over the work that their techs do, and I am frustrated that there is zero regard to trying to be careful to not scratch rims with lug nuts. I am so mad because these aren't things that my girlfriend (who doesn't know much about cars/car work) would even know to look for. It makes me wonder how many other people they try to slide shotty work by and hope they can just not be noticed. I will never be letting my girlfriend take her car here ever again for ANY services! If I can't trust them to do the simplest things correctly, then I will gladly pay for and do my own oil changes and tire rotations so that they don't have a chance to ruin her vehicle any further. read more

Pd $100 for diagnosis, they found 4 other things than what we brought it in for and wanted another $400 to diagnose for what we brought it in for. Says they didn't have time to diagnose the AC but had time to find 4 other issues.. hmmm! 2 of those issues they serviced 3 years ago (engine mounts). When we brought that to their attention, they made an excuse of why they suggested it. Ended up just coming to get car back bc we were not going to keep giving money just to have them keep "looking" without some kind of communication from them. Bill came to over $200 and they did nothing for us, except take all our Freon out of car so instead of having AC when we brought it in, we left having none!! We went up Thurs night spent a few hours talking to a sales rep. After 8pm we asked if we should come back tomorrow so they can go home seeing they were closed. They assured us it wasn't a problem they stay late all the time. It was the end of the month and a great time to get a deal. So we stayed for almost another hour. At that point the guy walks out and tells us he can't get through to the bank to get an answer and that they would reach out tomorrow (Friday) morning. After awhile, and no word from them we reached out only to be told that the sales floor was really busy and if it slows down they will look into it and they will get back either that night or Saturday. Still no word from them... the sales guy was nice (but that's their job right, to get a deal). They talked about how they are a family business and care about their customers... I guess this falls back to the saying, "actions speak louder than words". Even if it wasn't a huge sale, there should have been some level of decency to reach out and be honest and forward. That lack of truth speaks volumes about a company and how they will handle situations moving forward. I would beware of dealing with them if you're thinking of buying a car. Years ago, I used to deal with Bob Steele in Cocoa. One day I took my Colorado truck in for the usual oil change, lubrication and tire rotation. When I got back home to Titusville, I discovered that they twisted off three of my decorative lug bolts! I never returned until a couple of months ago when they had a Colorado that I was interested in. I figured I would give them another chance. Big mistake! Well, we made a decent deal, and I bought it. As part of the deal, I got a rubber mat for the bed, and they said they would take my non-GM steps off of my old Colorado trade in and put it on the new one. They told me the mounting hardware was in bad shape and they would order a hardware kit and mount them when it comes in. They said they would call. They never did! After numerous unreturned phone calls to Matt the service guy and my salesman Blake I showed up in person. I was told they would call me later because "the guy ' that orders this was at lunch. Well, it must have been a long lunch because they never called and just avoided me. That was two months ago! I bought the same steps elsewhere and it cost me $800 for them. So basically, Bob Steele overcharged me $800 for my truck since it was part of the deal, and they reneged on installing my steps. I think this would be considered a felony in a court of law! Anyway, needless to say I won't be back even for the free oil changes that they give you for life! If you see a good deal or negotiate one with them don't expect anything that they promise unless you get it the day you buy your vehicle. Once you are gone, they will never follow through. I found a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD LTZ DRW online at a reasonable price. I started by asking for information, and a salesman named Brayan Sanchez wrote to me and very kindly sent me a video of the truck. I liked the truck, and we started talking about price and a trade-in I had. When we reached an agreement, I asked him about the Certified Used Car warranty offered by all Chevrolet dealers, which the dealer's website clearly stated was included. He told me that the manager had informed him that the website wasn't updated and that they didn't offer that warranty because it would have to raise the price. But he told me not to worry because they were going to give me an additional 4,500 warranty. We got off to a bad start because the website didn't specify that. But he told me he'd speak with the manager to lower the price or give me more money for my trade-in to compensate. I agree, and I fill out all my information for the loan. I tell him I'm waiting for him to tell me the truck is approved to leave for the dealership because it's over an hour away. He tells me that my loan is being paid and that he'll let me know shortly. I wait two hours, and I write to him, but he doesn't answer. At 7:45 p.m., he replies that they had sold the truck. I tell him it's disrespectful to tell me something like that after they've paid the loan. And he replies that another person arrived and paid the full price, and they sold it to him. What kind of commitment is it? While closing a deal with someone who's already paying the loan, they sell it to someone else because I paid more. This dealer has no professionalism. I asked to speak to the manager and was left waiting. I imagine this reviewer will respond soon. I'm sorry if I should call him back, because apparently they only offer to speak with those who give him bad reviews. When I first bought my truck, 2014 Chevy Silverado, I had to bring it back 3 times in one month for them to fix it. Granted, I didn't pay a dime. And I shouldn't, considering I just bought. A few short years later, and a few weeks ago, my truck started messing up. I brought back, chevy said it was my transmission. It was absolute HELL trying to get a rental with Chevy through Hertz in Cape Canaveral. After 1 week, I finally got a rental, after horrible customer service through Hertz. Chevy then replaced my transmission because I have power Train. Tried charging me some frees, DESPITE it took over a week to get a rental and I had to pay co-workers for rides to and from work. Thankfully, the service manager (who I won't name because he was nice) waved the "fees." Got the truck, 30 seconds later the truck was doing the same EXACT thing. After 1/2 mile, I turned around and brought it back. They had it for a few days and let me know the truck is ready for pick up. Picked up my truck yet again, 4 - 5 miles later the engine light came on, again. I called Chevy and was told to bring it back at my earliest convenience. I stated that last time I brought it back it took over a week to even get a rental. I kept calling and left a voicemail and the service manager told me that they were really busy and couldn't give me a ride back home if I dropped the truck off That day, Friday. I said I would call Monday and we can plan something. I called Monday, left a voicemail and still have not heard a response. I would have got comprehensive insurance if I could but because of the vehicles miles and old age, I wasn't allowed. I'm very upset with Chevy right now and can elaborate extensively with all that has happened with my vehicle and employees that has or are currently working at Chevy in Cocoa Fl. We were reassured the car was there and it was priced at 35k. So we took the hour long ride to Bob Steele Chevrolet in Cocoa. Upon arrival, we test drive and loved the Traverse. We were ready to buy the car for 35k until their Finance guy and Manager informed us that the price on all vehicles had been increased 7% due to low inventory. We were very upset and disgusted at this deceitful business practice. How can you advertise at one price, tell a customer that its correct then switch the price when they are in the dealer? I bought my Equinox new in 2020. To start with, Jason (awesome guy, not upset with him) almost sold me the wrong car. That should have been my warning to walk away. Within a year I had to take it in for a check engine light. Emissions system. My service advisor was the rudest woman I've ever met and within two days it was back on again. That has never been completely fixed. My check engine light will still occasionally come on and it disables the automatic start feature. Now just under three years but over mileage for my warranty my AC is going out. I have an infant and a toddler so riding around in 90 degree weather without it is not an option. They told me I needed a new compressor and condenser. That cost $2000. They were unable to give me any type of courtesy vehicle while they "fixed" the problem. Now here we are a month later and my AC is out again. They replaced the compressor again only to tell me that the hoses are bad and another $1200 to fix. The purpose of me buying a brand new car was so that I wouldn't have these issues for a long time and the fact that I have to keep spending money for things to not be fixed is unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. read more

I had a choice of waiting outside or going inside to their lounge. I waited masked in a chair outside at first, then later moved inside to watch TV. While many customers wore masks, not all of them did so. My car was ready in 1 1/4 hours -- within the estimated time. I was made aware of there recommendations, but upsell was not heavy, which I appreciated. The tire pressure on the 4 tires was uneven-- 34, 35, 35, 37. So I took off a * on my rating. read more

I bought a 2011 srx from Bob Steele's in cocoa approximately 4 years ago. I have not even put 12 thousand miles on this car. All I have done is put money into repairs. And the quality of the repairs is harenduss. Several times I have had them put the rear view mirror up because it keeps falling off. I no sooner get home and the next day it Is off again. Plus I've been charged for this job several times and it is back there again. I've had to replace strutts, new tires, now seats are having to be upholstered because the leather had fell apart. Air flow sensor and so many other things. They should of never had that car on the lot for sale it's a piece of shit. After putting so much money into this I cannot go and purchase another vehicle. They do not stand behind their service. Worst part is I traded a vehicle I had special ordered and it did not even have 80000 miles it was just I needed a bigger car as that was a 2 seater solstice, I loved that car but it became not reasonable for my life style. I drove 45 minutes to go and purchase the truck to find out when I got there to buy a car that they had a 10% mark up price over the MSRP, this information was not disclosed to me during the three phone calls that I had with the dealer and was not published anywhere on the website. As a disabled veteran, I was treated horribly in this establishment; they avoided giving me my military discount at all cost. They were telling people that all dealers in Florida are adding the 10% markups to the MSRP, which is a lie. They added a poor quality label markup to the factory sticker price of the vehicle.
