We own a 2017 John Works Mini Cooper and we brought it in for the first service and I must admit it was there poorest quality of service I've ever received in my life. They did not put enough oil in the car, so we drove off with low oil and the fluids were not filled. I'm very annoyed that we had to return the car on a tow truck for proper service. When we told them about what we discovered, they said that we don't know how to read the oil levels. However, I'm very skilled at reading all the manuals and we had the tow truck company check the oil levels in the car and they too said the oil was too low and the fluids were not filled. Knowing my dissatisfaction, nobody reached out to ensure we were ok with everything. That is why I'm posting this review. read more

Amazing with customer service, but when you give someone an estimate, make sure it's at least within $100 of said estimate. Not an extra $300. Have to travel to Calabasas Mini since the Camarillo location closed a few years ago. What a difference, and unfortunately not good. Took the Mini in last year during the height of Covid. Given a loaner car everything went well. This year I was constantly receiving texts and emails that the car needed to come in for service. I scheduled an appointment online and received confirmation via text and email. I arrived only to find out that my appointment was missing. I showed the confirmation text and the paperwork was filled out after a quick consultation with a person in the back. I told them I would wait for the vehicle since I know it only takes a few hours. I was then informed that it could take days as they were understaffed. Days for a service? No choice but I had to leave the vehicle since it is under warranty. No offer of ride or loaner. Luckily I was able to get a ride since I live 30 minutes away. It took 24 hour for the service on the vehicle to be completed and then the additional work needed was not covered under warranty. I sent a copy of the extended warranty that was purchased at the Mini in Camarillo after I was told it would cover everything. Everything was not the case in reality. Only the rear brake pads were covered and the front pads needed work but was not covered under warranty yet. I guess if I paid, the work would be done. The service advisor finally deferred to Jannie Hawkings when he realized that we had this warranty and pads were covered. She would not be available until the next day. Unfortunately nothing else was covered since it is normal wear. 2016 vehicle and cracked motor mount and steering component. Good to know quality workmanship. The car was ready to for pick up two days after I dropped it off with an appointment for service. Two days for rear pads and routine service. i will have to return since it is under warranty for another couple of years but I should of never bought the extended warranty for $1600 when the work needed now costs over $3000. Stay away if you can, look for another dealership. Learn from my mistake. read more

I purchased my 2013 Mini Roadster in April 2014. It came with a 3-year service warranty, and little did I know, nor was I told, this coverage began when the car went into service, not when I bought it. Bob Smith Mini could do a lot better communicating to their customers when these sorts of warranties are close to expiring. They are so active in communicating things to purchase, but if it comes to service, there's hardly a peep. I've now missed the expiration for some routine maintenance, and I'm not happy. ALSO - for anyone looking to purchase from Bob Smith Mini, beware of the Wear & Tear Service Agreement. They tell you what it will cover, but when I bring my car in for service under this service agreement, suddenly those scenarios aren't covered. It's a scam to take more money, but the fine print excludes basically everything. Refuse the coverage!! Con. I won't be a repeat customer. read more

The team there was able to find me a reasonable financing plan and get me into the car of my dreams. SERVICE REVIEW: Just brought my car in for my first service appointment. Josh was fantastic and made the process super easy. I do have an extended maintenance warranty on my car so literally didn't have to pay a dime, so in part this updated review is probably half for how great MINI's warranty is as well.They gave me a loaner car for free, which is so great. Bob Smith Mini had a great selection of Minis and I was able to find one that was exactly what I wanted. I would've custom ordered a Mini, but I was on a time crunch. I initially came in on a Saturday and test drove the car, then returned yesterday to test drive her again and purchase her. Andre and Alexis, the sales reps, were both really friendly and knowledgeable, as was Eddie, the finance manager. I wish I could've gotten more for my trade-in, a 2007 Mini convertible, but I got a good deal on my car, so I can't complain too much. The only thing that I would knock off half a star for is the amount of time it took from start to finish (approximately 3.5 hours), considering that I already had financing and had already picked out the car. Nevertheless, I was still very pleased with my overall experience and would recommend Andre, Alexis, Eddie, and the rest of the staff at Bob Smith Mini. Recently, had the most extraordinary experience at Bob Smith Mini because of Drew, Christopher and Julian. I had been to other Mini dealers, but walked out of their showrooms feeling as if no one cared if I were there or not. But here, these men showed me genuine warmth. I felt welcome. They made me feel as if I were the most important person who had ever walked in. I had a problem and they made suggestions that were more for my benefit than theirs. They were imaginative and really extended themselves. That was not the case at other Mini dealerships. Even when I phoned Drew many times over the course of several days, he always greeted me with the same courtesy and interest. This dealership deserves less than one star - zero customer service skills - and very unprofessional service handling - I brought my MINI for service because the brake pad replacement sensor went off - when I returned the loaner to pick up my car they had NOT fixed the brake pads but exchanged break fluid instead. On top of all things I made the mistake to leave a very special key chain on my car key and did not detach it and when I came to get my car it was missing - the reaction of the staff at the cashier counter was so lame and nobody cared about my loss - then I had to turn my car in a second time and picking it up yesterday with a 24 hour notification of my end, they actually 1. Brought a dusty car 2 . The car was hot as hell from being parked on the roof all day 3. WOW. This is my second review but well deserved as we are still in awe of our experience. Excellent customer service and appreciation are the core essence of survival for an auto dealer, Bob Smith Mini has this down to a science! I spent my entire career working at various levels in the service departments of new car dealers, during this time I became very familiar with sales tactics as well. Experience would normally dictate that placing your trust at letting your guard down when purchasing a vehicle from a dealership would be a bad move. I began our purchase by viewing some CPO Mini's on Bob Smith's web pages and then sending a contact to their internet sales department. The next morning I received an e-mail from J.C. Reznikoff of Bob Smith Mini internet sales. He introduced himself, answered all of my questions and stated that he would love the "opportunity to earn our business". Having no real knowledge of Mini my wife and I headed out to our appointment with J.C. Reznikoff and Bob Smith Mini, as it turned out J.C. handled all of this on hiss day off. When we arrived he had the vehicles of our interest ready to test drive and explained in detail every aspect before and during the test drive. My wife and I have never been comfortable when dealing with auto salesman yet J.C. made us feel as if we were friends and placed absolutely no importance on purchase but every importance on making us feel as if we were royalty. Again, J.C. Reznikoff, on his day off spent some 6-7 hours with us talking, driving, talking, touring and then walking us through all other aspects of purchase. We left with a gorgeous 2013 CPO S Clubman loaded with options and just as happy to become a part of our family as we were to welcome the little car. Customer service is not just a saying at Bob Smith Mini and certainly not with J.C. Reznikoff of internet sales. They all live to make the customer feel important, happy and completely satisfied. We love our "new" Mini and are thankful that Bob Smith Mini has chosen outstanding people to represent the dealership. The internet sales department is in great hands with J.C. We had the most amazing Christmas thanks to Bob Smith Mini. My wife has always wanted a Mini, and I spent a great deal of time looking at cars on the internet. Nothing beat them within hundreds of miles. It was totally worth the drive out from the Antelope Valley. The store is as beautiful as the sales and finance people are warm and professional. Bob Smith probably has the best selection of MINIs in Southern California, and it's worth the day trip driving there if you're from out of town. I purchased my r56 MCS last weekend and had a mostly positive experience. The sales associates that I dealt with, Justin and Alexis, were friendly and knowledgeable about the car and provided an A+ test drive. If you're curious about differences between MINI models, the test drive course Justin set up provides a lot of insight into how the different cars perform in a variety of situations. The behind-the-scenes sales manager was kind of shady about bait-and-switching prices, so if you do decide to purchase, make sure you scrutinize every detail of the contract! Kelly the finance manager was helpful in sorting out the sketchy issues with the back office, and he even helped save me some money after the price had already been agreed upon. I brought my Mini roadster to get checked out about a problem with the air conditioning and they fixed the issue but it was still reoccurring so I had to schedule another visit and this time I was taken care of by Christina Langosh and she asked the service tech Michael to help diagnose the problem and they had my car in service for about an hour as I waited. I spent the entire time chatting with Darren the salesmen on the sales floor and I felt that the service and the people I met ( I also met the sales Manager) were top notch and very pleasant and I will be bringing my car back in the future. I recently purchased a mini from this dealership. The overall experience was incredible I found myself dealing with people in a no pressure situation. The employees were more interested in making sure that my wife and I would be happy then just trying to sell us a car. I would like to single out 3 people my salesperson Brittany who was the sole reason for me returning and purchasing a vehicle. She is a truly wonderful person very knowledgeable and answered any and all questions I had. Then I was presently surprised in closing the purchase which isn't generally something I look forward to. Having said that Julia and Karen were fantastic again never feeling pressured just felt like they all went out of their way to make it a very positive experience.
