Damage done to my vehicle while in Bob Rohrman Honda possession

Do NOT go here. I took my car in to have the AC repaired under warranty and my car was damaged while in their possession. They were completely unprofessional about the whole process. First they said they took before and after pictures of the vehicles when they come in and when they leave. Then when I questioned them about it and brought the car back in to see said photos, conveniently they did not have an after photo. Not to mention Honda of America also said that every shop should have cameras recording every vehicle being worked on. After multiple attempts to contact them about the situation I was finally told by the service manager, Adam Adrian and the General manager Mr. DUNWOODY that they came to the conclusion that it must have been done by a trailer hitch backing into my car. Total bs. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Go to any other dealership other than Bob Rohrman Honda off sagamore Pkwy in Lafayette.

I bought my Honda Civic here in 1996, and as of 2014 it is still running reasonably well for an 18-year-old car. I credit this to using their service center as much as possible. I made the conscientious decision to go to the "dealer" for my automotive service and have not regretted that choice. I know that it is likely that there are places just as good and perhaps less expensive, but that requires a lot of luck in finding. Besides, it is so straightforward to go to a place that knows the recommended maintenance schedule without a great deal of exposition, and there is value in that. Besides, I consider their prices for routine maintenance to be quite fair. Oil changes are comparable to other locations, and when less-frequent "larger" maintenance is needed, I am impressed into the number of checks performed on my vehicle. I do wonder if some repairs are perhaps more expensive, but I suspect that for the oddball repair this would be the best place to go regardless due to the availability of parts. Plus they, like many dealers, over shuttle service for drop-offs. Highly recommended for Honda service.

But they are happy to review them with you. 3. Airbag disclaimer Dealer disclaims any knowledge presence, or condition of any airbags. Another words Caveat Emptor, LET THE BUYER BEWARE! 4. Disclaimer of open recalls There is no federal law for us to disclose any open recalls. So we don't. In summary, If you choose to go to Twins, read carefully, and tell the finance manager to be quiet. Buyer beware!

They gave me an estimate of $2200 when there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with my vehicle. They replaced a gas cap ($28) and charged me $250 for it. I took my car to another certified dealership only to find they lied about having a coolant leak ($450) and parking break pads needing to be replaced ($1500). Absolutely disgusting how dishonest they are and I wonder how many people were deceived into believing something is wrong with their vehicle when there was nothing wrong. When I called to discuss my concerns and if they take video of the issues they find. They hung up the phone on me and stopped answering.

Do Not Take Your Vehicle to Defouw Automotive!…read more Defouw has undoubtedly provided the most horrendous customer service experience we've ever encountered with any business. They were negligent in diagnosing and repairing the vehicle, even after being specifically told which part to check. They misdiagnosed the vehicle on multiple occasions and returned it with the assurance that it was running reliably, only for it to break down each time. There were multiple instances of them reading the wrong ticket for other vehicles and refusing to communicate effectively. Additionally, they were misogynistic, conspiratorial, and extremely rude. They replaced the wrong part and refused to replace the necessary part as specified by the General Motors recall. They claim that service and diagnostic were refused, when, in fact, they were the ones who refused to work with the customer, stating that since the vehicle wasn't purchased from them, they didn't care. Service advisors are more than happy to go out of their way to intimidate customers to avoid being held responsible for Defouw's inadequacy. Additionally, they claim that all the issues resulting from their negligence were pre-existing, despite having no record of these issues during any of their inspections or any record showing that service was refused. I cannot under-emphasize their lack of due diligence, care, concern for customer experience, or professionalism.

After being a customer for 16 years, today was the last time I will give them my money. Service has…read moregone downhill very fast since the change in ownership. I went to the Quicklane Friday, August 2, 2024 for an oil change. I was told it will be at least 2 hours. The service rep asked if I wanted to make an appointment instead. We scheduled a time of 10am on August 6. However, on Sunday August 4, I received a notification that my oil change service was 10am on August 5. So, I called them up at 8am on August 5 to confirm when my appointment was. The caller didn't speak English very well and sounded confused. I decided to go in anyway. When I got there, more confusion as to why I was there. So my vehicle sat outside for 70 minutes past my 10am appointment. when they finally brought it in, it was another 50 minutes before they were done. During this time, I overheard several other customers complaining about the time it took them. And, when I got out to my vehicle, I found they were too lazy to place a sticker on my windshield to remind me of the next oil change, and they were also too lazy to reset the digital oil life monitor on my vehicle. If they can't do the small things, they can't be trusted. Never again. Ford of Lafayette Indiana has lost my business. If I could give zero stars, I would. EDIT: On August 8th, I received a call from Ford of Lafayette telling me their records indicated that my vehicle was ready for service and did I want to schedule. This speaks volumes for their inefficiency...
