If I could leave less than 1 star I would. 1st off the menu was covered with butter and it got all over me and the table. Next I picked up my sweet tea glass and the bottom fell out so now my pants are soaked. My Mac and cheese had to go back to be heated up...then did not return till I was almost finished eating. I had ordered a to go order that the waitress said she was going to take to the front..they acted like I was speaking Chinese and didn't know what I was talking about. Their food was excellent, and the crew was fabulous- but they were admittedly understaffed with even a low seating breakfast crowd, early in the am. If it wasn't such a wait to get seated for 'breakfast,' it'd have been 5 Stars! But at least could have been seated for coffee and drinks after telling us their staffing was so short. We stopped in for breakfast and we both were very satisfied with what we ordered. The service was great, we were seated and our sever came right away. She kept our coffee mugs full and was a great conversationalist. This was my husband's first time going (he is from the South) and we left full and happy! read more

I had a good and bad experience here. The good experience was getting a server unsure of seasonings and their contents. I have celiac and cannot have wheat, barley or rye. Lisa, the manager that day, went into the kitchen to check the ingredients. She went back to the kitchen to make sure my order was cooked without contamination. After that day, I always looked for Lisa to assist with my order. I went in several weeks ago. I asked for her and was told she was fired!!! I was stunned. To fire an employee who was so attentive to her customers needs is ridiculous! If she made a mistake, another chance could be given. I have eaten there for years and always felt comfortable because Lisa was so attentive to my needs. I'll not be back again unless she's rehired. I had a very poor experience at this restaurant. I ordered the grilled chicken fingers/tenders. I explained my allergy. The poor server brought me six tiny pieces of chicken. About the size of the top digit of my little finger. The server apologized for the size and amount. Lisa was not there and I knew she never would have sent that plate out to me. The server said the manager on staff at the time, said she was focusing on a bus in the drive through. It was not even discounted. Needless to say we left and I had to get something else on the way home. We were so shocked. My husband and I should have taken a photo. There is a good reason to get Lisa back. She cared about her customers. I also want to know why we are charged the same when we can't eat the breads? I asked for grits instead of bread and was told no. If we can't eat the bread then reduce the cost for celiacs or give us another option. I'm tired of being punished for an allergy I can't control. read more

This Bob Evans is the worst Bob Evans I have ever been to in my entire life. If it was possible to leave zero stars or negative stars I would. Everytime I wake up with amnesia and stumble back into the maysville Bob Evans I am quickly reminded why I would rather eat 3 week old school lunches then the food at Bob Evans maysville. Our last visit was probably sometime in May 2016. I think this time we have finally been so emotionally scarred by the experience that we will never be back. That fateful trip in May began with myself, my fiance, our 8 year old son, and 2 year old daughter. We were promptly seated and noticed that although they were not super busy, they were about half full. It took about ten minutes for a server to stop by but she finally stopped by. She was friendly but you could tell she was very busy and rushed. It was unusual to us because there were about 4 other servers just standing around. We ordered our food and then we waited... And waited... And waited and waited and waited... We watched as ten minutes passed, twenty minutes, forty minutes.. our children got more and more upset and bored, hungry ... We watched as people who came in thirty minutes after us received their food. Just as we were getting ready to get up and walk away ( around 70 minutes after ordering food) the server brought the manager over. The manager apologized numerous times for the wait and had no real explanation on what had happened. She assured us our food was coming out right then and to please not leave, they would love to comp our meal. As parents know, by this time our children were so hungry and worked up we just decided to wait it out rather the start the process over at some other restaurant. About 5 minutes after the manager stopped by our food FINALLY came... And how upsetting it was. The chicken and dumplings we ordered for our two year old had sat under the heat lamp for so long there was a strange thick mucous film around the entire top layer of food. Pancakes had sat under the lamp so long they were hard amd some were rubbery. About ten minutes after bringing our food out we were walking out the door... Food wasn't bad had meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans. Meatloaf over cooked mashed potatoes were instant, beans were from can very little seasoning. The biggest problem I had was the cook had a beard was not wearing a hair net nor did he have his beard covered. The " manager" was helping cook no hair net. read more

This is kind of a small Bob Evans, with no clear place to wait for a table. I stood near the cash register as wait staff milled around, hoping someone would seat me. I didn't understand whether I was supposed to seat myself or be seated. Finally, I approached the cashier, who seated me and promptly brought me a drink. And I waited for a server to come around. And I waited. Lots of servers bustled around, but none approached me. After 10 minutes, I was ready to leave but uncertain whether to pay for my drink, when a server asked if anyone had taken my order yet (despite the menus clearly on the table). She was very friendly and took my order. She brought my cole slaw, and I asked if I could please have some silverware. She brought the silverware. She brought my sandwich, and I asked if I could please have some catsup. She disappeared into the kitchen, where I saw her chatting with someone. Finally, I got up and retrieved catsup from another table. The service was absolutely deplorable, and the meal wasn't much better, but Bob Evans isn't known for their mouth-watering cuisine. The cole slaw was quite good, the fries were fries, but the burger was a strange gray color, suggesting ingredients other than simply ground beef, and it had not one ounce of juice. All in all, a pretty horrible experience and a lousy meal. Won't be back. read more

This is the worst Bob Evans I have ever seen. The restaurant was dirty, and the service was exceptionally slow. There was some kind of commotion in the kitchen with people shouting at one another and cursing, and it sounded like things were being thrown. We were quite frightened by it and left before receiving our food. I will never go back to the Bob Evans in Maysville. It was a horrifying experience. read more

Overpriced for really lousy food! Sure, the decorations are pretty and it's a clean restaurant, but the food is bland and gross and just wildly overpriced for what it is. And twice in the past month I've gone there and there was a HUGE thing of dried crud on the inside of my coffee cup. I wrote the company and they are still avoiding my calls and e-mails. This is the absolute worst Bob Evans I have ever been to in my entire life. I don't know why I have even bothered going there again after having multiple terrible experiences. My husband and I stopped in there today, Monday 2/21/18 around noon. We were both in the mood for breakfast and this is one of the only local restaurants that serve breakfast all day. When we arrived we were seated quickly by the hostess, and there were only two other occupied tables in the entire place. The server came over, I don't know what her name was because she never bothered telling us, but she was blonde and probably in her early forties. She took our drink order and brought those quicky as well, we ordered French vanilla cappuccinos and there were not made correctly, were in the wrong cup, no whipped cream and tasted like 4 day old weak piss flavored coffee. After dropping our drinks off we sat for nearly 25 minutes waiting for the server to come back and take our order (which she never did) we watched as her, the other server and the manager stood up front and talked about gaining weight, losing weight, their makeup, what they were doing later, we watched as our server seated other people , waited on new customers, walked around aimlessly, picked her wedgie, you get the idea. After 25 minutes we got up to leave, I had planned on complaining to the manager but since she was sitting up front on her big ass talking to the servers the entire time , we figured there was no damn point. We got up left and went to Frischs where we received EXCELLENT service. We will NEVER go to the maysville Bob Evans location again. read more

This is possibly the worst Bob Evans on the planet!! First of all the place is dirty, the staff is slow and lousy. My family and I stood by the cash register waiting to be seated for a long time. There were approx. 8 people eating and every table was dirty. When we got seated I asked the waitress if she could wipe the table it was sticky. She gave me a dirty look and left. She returned 5 minutes later and asked if we are ready to order. I again asked to have the table cleaned and she said after we place our order she will clean it. The other wait staff was outside smoking and she will get to us. I stood up and told her this place is filthy and we are leaving. Never again will we enter that place!! read more

Every time I go back to Bob Evans I am reminded why I said I would never go there again. A year ago, I cracked a tooth filling because of an egg shell in scrambled eggs. If Bob Evans can't so scrambled eggs, they should close the doors. My family recently got sucked in by the commercials for brioche French toast and decided to give it another try since they reportedly are under new management. It took 55 minutes from the time we ordered to get our food. The restaurant was not busy, but the new management is apparently as incompetent as the past. read more
