Had the absolute worst meal I've ever had. I had the fish and fries my husband had pot roast mashed potatoes and carrots. It was so rubbery and cold we couldn't eat it. The only thing that we ate were our side salads which were good and fresh. Ranch dressing was good. Talked to the manager who cut the bill down to half but we would have much preferred to have a good meal like Bob Evans use to be. That was my last time. Food was excellent but service is the reason for the 1 star. Needs to work on actually being nice to customers without an attitude or sarcasm. She took forever with me and my husband's food, forgot someone else's drink and they didn't get it until 5 minutes after and didn't even get their food even though they were there for 45 minutes. Got seated right away and brought waters took 15 minutes to get our drinks, ordered our food and it took 48 minutes to get our order(there were only 3 other tables of customers) didn't check on us at all. My scrambles eggs were like an omelet with a "sole" on both sides. The sausage gravy was aweful and we weren't checked on after our food was served either. Took 14 minutes to get a cashier to come to the register. We will not be returning here. read more

If I could give a 0 stars I would. I have really thought about weather I should do this or not bc I don't like to complain but I don't want this to happen to anyone else. My husband and I stopped there one evening and when we were seated it took the waitress 20 minutes to come to us and it wasn't because she was busy there wasn't hardly anyone there. So I ordered a tea that didn't taste nothing like tea. Then I ordered a 2 piece grilled chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. My husband ordered the cheese fries and a burger. My chicken wasn't 2 pieces they took one piece and sliced it in half. I also ordered extra brown gravy and it was in one of the littlest bowls and it was ice cold. The mashed potatoes didn't have gravy like I ordered and they were ice cold and partially frozen and the green beans were not even lukewarm but they were the warmest of all. Then my husband ordered steak tips with the sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions and a French fry appetizer that was supposed to be cheese fries. His steak tips were cold and not cooked and he ordered well done but they were more than pink inside. The mushrooms were not saluted and the onions were still raw. The fries were cold and the cheese had been melted what seemed to look like hours before. The waitress never came to check and see how we were doing or to refill our drinks. I tried getting her attention and she would say she would be right there and never came. The only time she did was to give me our bill and asked if we needed a box and when I said no and tried to tell her about our food she turned around and walked off. Our bill was 40 some dollars and when we went to pay it we tried to tell the person who cashed us out they acted as if they didn't care. I will never go to another Bob Evans again especially since they obviously do not care. I have never in my life had to post a review before but I hope that no one else has such a horrible experience like we did. I ordered takeout, but went into the restaurant to pick it up. Staff was friendly, restaurant seems cute and clean, albeit small. The meal itself was simply lacking in seasoning and the vegetable portion was so so small. 5 pieces of broccoli as a side was not sufficient. read more

Ate here a week ago and also a year ago and gotta say worst we ever had. We wanted to give them another chance and they blew it. We only come in town for the holidays once a year to see friends and family and we will NEVER eat here again. The food is nasty and cold. The service is very slow and not friendly. Ambiance is ok I guess. But will never come again. Manage comp our too crispy chicken salads cause the chicken was cold as ice and we ended up waiting an hour just for two salads and a burger. Stopped here passing through town. As good as any Bob Evans. Clean, good food, friendly service. Got the half sandwich and garden salad. Salad was fresh and tasty. Roasted turkey and bacon sandwich was yummy. This is a safe bet. read more

Good place to go to with the family. Good menu selections, and quite often good service. If you go on a Sunday, try to avoid going during the prime time, after church service time....this is when it seems to be it's busiest. Every waiter/waitress I have had while dining here have been excellent...except for one. She appeared to be sleeping walking the entire time, or high on something. We would have to repeat our orders several times for her to get what was being said, and even have to look at the menu to see what was being ordered. She wasn't even a new waitress... I'm going to call today to get the name of her so that I may request away from any table she will be serving. read more

The restaurant was very tidy and clean. All the waitresses were very friendly. However getting refills took quite a while. All the ice in my glass had melted by the time I was ask if I needed a refill of water. Because I had drank all of my soda and my glass sit till all that was left was the water. Our order took longer than it should to get. The manager talked to the people behind us and apologized that their staff has tools they need to be using and gave them a major discount on their meal. I'm not sure what all that was about but the manager ended up standing at the cooks windows constantly barking at them and putting the orders together so they could get back up to speed. When we did receive our food the home fries tasted like they had been cooked with hotdogs and the scrambled eggs were a bit over done. Don't waste your time getting the carry out! You won't get the whole order. Ordered, went in to collect our order on time. Two bags standing together I was given one. I asked if the other bag was mine as well and was told no it was a separate order. Drive 10 minutes home. They left out the entree. Called and they apologized promised fresh entree. Drive 10 minutes back. Entree sat in a warmer for 20 minutes (definitely not fresh) now 10 more minutes home and entree was ruined and inedible, everything else was cold, bread was hard as everything was old at that point. And yes I could have pulled out pots and pans and reheated the sides, but that completely defeats the purpose of ordering take out. read more

The staff is very friendly, the manager not so much. Jessica is by far one of the nicest people who work there. She was very kind and understanding when we had a late call in. The manager stopped me at the front door and wasn't going to let me in the building, when it was 30 degrees out, and told me that he couldn't let me in the building to get my food because I wasn't in the building at 9:00, I got there at 9:02, and then complained because it was a $50+ order. read more

Went last weekend with my daughter for a birthday dinner. The place was practically deserted but the service was still extremely poor and the food was terrible. I had pot roast and when it arrived it looked like a giant bowl of lumpy brown gravy. When I was able to find something within it was rubbery "meat" that tasted horrible. Our service was so slow that we had to get our dessert to go, and when I told the manager that our meal wasn't the best he ignored me completely. The food was good but the service was bad. Katie the waitress was apologetic saying she has been working for 9 hrs & causes her to mess up. Overworked employees not good for the business. The person who seated has was not pleasant must be tired too. Welcome without a smile. I ordered the broasted two piece chicken she asked me dark or white I wanted dark expecting leg & thigh as pictured on menu but I got wing & breast. We ordered to go food & requested a refill she even asked what flavor but we never got the refill til we got our to go order. Hopefully next time they be more friendly & attentive. read more

Today, I had the pleasure of eating here for the second time this week. The waiter did an amazing job of accommodating my husband, daughter in law, 5 month old grand daughter and I. He was super speedy at waiting on our table and very friendly. My husband ordered the wrong item and when it arrived, he asked what the name of the open face omelet was called and they offered to replaced the food he ordered with what he had actually wanted free of charge and was extremely nice about making him happy. Our drinks were never empty and we were checked on often, even by a manager to make sure that our visit was pleasurable and we were happy. The food tasted incredible and was very fresh. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was enjoyable. This Bob Evan's does a fantastic job. I have never had a bad experience or complaint anytime I've ever visited this Bob Evans. I Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great fresh farm tasting food and a pleasant place to eat.
