Our server, Leah, is acting like she doesn't want to be here. She hasn't came to check on us after we got our food. The manager here is known as "Eeyore" and it clearly shows. If the regional director of Bob Evans was looking for a worthless manager to kill the sales of a store, they could not have picked a better person than this idiot. A few people are waiting to be seated when I walk in, the manager slowly appears to take my name while telling me it's going to be 10 or 15 minutes. I start counting tables and not less than 15 tables are open and clean. After several minutes a couple that was before me got up and left. A few minutes later someone else came in and then another waiting before me left and this continued thru two additional people. All while tables are sitting empty and the manager standing around. My husband, son & I stopped in this location for lunch. There was a wait of about 8 minutes for a table. When we were seated, our order was taken promptly. I ordered the country biscuit breakfast w/hash browns, my son got the ham & cheese sandwich w/fries and my husband had the flounder with sides of coleslaw, mac & cheese and banana bread. My breakfast & my son's lunch were served hot and were delicious. My husband's flounder and mac & cheese were both barely lukewarm. He sent it back & asked for it to be taken off the bill which the manager agreed to. Overall, our experience with the food and service was good. Came here to support one of the local businesses during this level 3 covid 19 crap. We ordered 2 grilled cheese sandwichs and a bunch of other stuff. I get home with the food and they couldnt even make a correct grilled cheese sandwich.. Like the grill was turned off so my kids got buttered bread with cold cheese inbetween... Never again. And the bacon bits that. Ame with the loaded potato soup loomed raw and like they have sat out all day. My dog wouldn't even eat it... Lost some family during covid. Picking up plates for easter seemed like the best option. The staff was friendly and helpful all 3 times I called. The food was excellent. Called the restaurant, spoke with Kelsey the manager, and didn't get anywhere. Wanted me to come back and get fresh rolls. The food was great, the service was fine but what we had a problem with was the "manager" that sat us. I am not sure if he was the manager because he did not have a name tag on but he was dressed differently from the wait staff. There was no urgency to him what so ever. I'm pretty sure his butt was hanging out because his pants were sooo low. But I couldn't tell because his shirt was untucked in the back. The pants were also very dirty and I understand they will get dirty in a restaurant environment but it looked like he hadn't washed them in some time. Bob Evans has become a joke, especially this location. The last 2 times I've been in the portion sizes have gotten smaller and smaller. Last night I took my g/f in for dinner, we both wanted soup and sandwich so we both ordered the 1/2 sandwich combo for $7.99. That 1/2 sandwich they served each of was about the size of 1/4 of a typical sandwich. Hers was finished in four bites, mine only 3. Before eating the sandwiches I asked my g/f to wait so I could ask the waitress if there was some mistake - the sandwiches looked that odd because of the tiny size. When asked why they are so small, the waitress said "I don't know, they're really cutting back portion sizes lately, you're right." Then she turned as a coworker was walking by and said to her, "Look at that, why have the 1/2 sandwiches gotten so baby-sized?" Nothing was offered to us in order to compensate for the situation she clearly agreed with. I was not pleased at all to pay $8 each for a meal we each felt was worth 1/2 that. So be warned, the 1/2 sandwich combo is only worth about 1/2 what you're going to pay, and should you have any trouble with your food, the staff might agree which is nice, but they aren't going to offer any type of solution or compensation. read more
