Nice little farmers market that happens on Wednesdays in the promenade parking lot near Winchester…read more We bought some produce and it was fresh and delicious especially the avacados from Fallbrook. Most of the vendors were friendly and some offered samples. It's perfect because it's outside the promenade away from the crowdedness (far from the stores & close up parking) and you're not worrying about people driving through. They were near the Margarita street side of the mall area parking lot. We bought from the basket merchant. Fair trade baskets. I have a couple I've had for years. These are worth it and well made, besides being beautiful. We were just passing through, and won't forget this farmers market in the future. Having very fresh produce and not the supposed "fresh?"from the market, was a pleasure. These fruits and veggies were truly fresh picked! Most all the vendors were great, kind, attentive and you knew they were farmers! The lemons I bought are definitely fresh picked, nice and Juicy! I miss having my citrus trees!! This is a good farmers market, worth the visit!

Basically a series of booths selling olive oil baskets, some fruits and vegetables and not much else. It was a very nice add to the plaza and I'm happy that I had the opportunity to see it because my intention was just having a coffee shop The Press espresso. This plaza is very charming, with a lot of trees, boutiques, coffee, shop, restaurants, and big Central space to enjoy the farmers market itself or other activities, this is a must visit in Temecula.

I came here just to try Press Espresso, one of few shops and eateries at this plaza, but didn't realize it was in such a historic place. I initially thought all the shops here were recently build to look like the old west, but in reading about the history on its website, learned that this area has been in existence since 1867. According to the website, it has been the heart of Temecula since then. Originally built by German immigrant, Louis Wolf, it was used as a trading post next to Temecula Creek. After his death in 1905, area was purchased by Arizona cattle baron, Walter Vail, who turned it into a cattle ranch. In 1964, it was sold to developers who turned it into a master-planned community. The area remained vacant for several decades until it was restored fully in 2007. This place now houses several unique shops and eateries, and is also used for events and Farmers Market. This is actually a plaza within a bigger plaza, which has more commercial retailers like Kohl's, Walmart, Marshalls, and several others. Kind of an odd mix, but glad the city decided to keep a portion of its history alive.

The Original Farmers Market was such a blast. Coming from the East Coast, where farmers and flea…read moremarkets used to be everywhere before many of those spaces turned into condos, it felt refreshing to experience something like this still thriving in Los Angeles. What stood out most was how much there was to see and taste. I loved wandering through and sampling along the way. I grabbed empanadas from Nonna's, picked up stylish prescription glasses from Julian and his team at the Optical Market, and finished with a refreshing hibiscus tea to go. And that was just scratching the surface. There's truly something here for everyone--green juices, freshly shucked oysters, beignets, custom ice cream flavors, fresh butcher selections, and so much more. It's the kind of place where you can easily spend hours exploring. My only regret is not having more time to try everything. It's a great spot for tourists, but also perfect for a cute, easy weekend outing.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Not really a farmers market but I'm not mad at it…read more Yes there is a produce area here, but it's an afterthought at this "farmers market". It's really a great food hall, though, with an incredible array of amazing-looking food everywhere. There are some non-food vendors as well, but the food is king. I did think it was odd though that a Starbucks had an outpost in here. I think it'd be better if they could keep it all independent vendors, but that's just me. It's an LA landmark that's stood the test of time and only seems to be getting better with the infusion of new eateries. It's a fun place in which to wander and sample. On our last couple of visits we got some great pierogis, falafels, and empanadas!

Pros: -I love the variety of food vendors that they have here. There were also vegan options available. -there is a shaded seating area that has picnic benches but people also brought out blankets to enjoy the day -some live music was available when I stopped by Cons: -parking can be a bit difficult and since this is in a residential neighborhood, you need to be careful of where you park. Everyone had a bottle and rightfully so, super nutritious and delicous - this farmers market is at a elementary school which is great -parking can be tough but we had parked in downtown Encinitas and just walked over (about 20 minutes)

The fresh produce is great, food vendors are fantastic, friendly customers and sellers, crafters, live music by local artists, and much more to experience. It's a little bit different each time with some consistency as well. They are there rain or shine for the most part. This particular day they had a new year fire feature where you write down. What you are grateful for, what you want to let go of, and what you're going to bring in -- something that would brings light into your life. Then you toss it in and give it up to the fire. So cool. The food all looks great, but there is no place to eat it. There is a big area near the booths that could be set up with tables, which I'm sure the vendors would appreciate and enable them to enjoy more sales. 2. It's only open until 12:00 and while I'd like to try the food, I don't eat lunch before 12:30 or later. It should be open until at least 1:00. 3. The website says that dogs are not allowed, but they are everywhere and it's a pain to avoid them and tripping over their leashes. There also health department regulations FOR GOOD REASONS, to not have animals around food.
