What a rip-off! This week I had two jetskis serviced at the new Full Throttle Seadoo place in…read moreKingsland. All that was done was an oil change and replacing three spark plugs. The bill came to $863.13 or $432 per jetski!! For an oil change which takes 3.5 quarts of oil and a filter! The parts came to about $112, the rest was for labor at $170 an hour plus shop supplies, hazardous waste charge (oil), and credit card fee (3.5%). And by the way, it took this Master mechanic (at $170 he must top-of-the line) 1.5 hours to do this oil change! Incidentally, I looked at an old 2023 bill, when the exact same mechanic changed the oil in the exact same jetskis and it took him 1.2 hours per jetski then. And of course the hourly rate was a lot cheaper back then too (37% cheaper), but it's different ownership now when Full Throttle took over from Highland Lakes Seadoo. I guess they had to increase the time the mechanic worked on these jetskis or raise the labor rate even more to get more money in, but how much more than $170 per hour are you going to charge for a guy doing a basic oil change? Or perhaps the mechanic is slowing down in his old age, who knows? My advice? Perhaps it pays to look for a different place. By the way, all the positive reviews (with the exception of one) are about Highland Lakes Seadoo, which were the previous owners. I liked that place. The new ownership has turned greedy.

We took our 2018, 22' Sun tracker sport/fish Tritoon boat to Moe and Karen in August 2023 for some…read moreminor decorative metal skirt repair. It took them two months to finally give us a quote for State Farm insurance. They had our boat for seven months, constantly stringing us along with lies and excuses as to why it was taking so long to repair our boat. They told us that they had a buyer for the boat and had actually gotten a substantial deposit to secure the purchase of the boat, none of which turned out to be true. When we finally had had enough of their BS and lies, we went and got our boat back, only to find that they had not finished the repairs that we had already paid them for, but they also somehow managed to put 70+ hours of use on our boat. Moe bragged to a good friend of ours that he "drives the hell" out of the boats on his lot until his customers come back and take their boats. We have another friend that told us he was using our boat to party on the lake. We are seriously considering legal action. I wholeheartedly would not recommend anyone use Moe & Karen to do any repairs on anyone's boat. I absolutely do not trust them! We asked for, but never received a refund for the repairs that we had paid for that they never performed, but they also depreciated the value of our boat by running the hell out of it and stacking up 70+ hours of use on our boat.

I went in on a Saturday to look at a specific kayak they had in stock. As soon as I opened the door…read morethe smell hit me. The shop smells like a litter box. There's at least 1 cat walking around and it's clearly been using several items in the place as scratch pads. One kayak had the flooring all torn up. The furniture with padding is disgusting! There are birds too. Cages were disgusting. Even the fish tank was gross. In fact, the place looks like it's owned by hoarder. There's stuff stashed in various areas. The more you look around, the more you see. Now on to the shopping experience. I told them what I was looking for and they directed me to a "salesman". He showed me what I was looking for which was outside covered in dirt. That's where his usefulness stopped. He had no clue about any of the kayaks I wanted to see. Told me the kayak had 800lb weight limit but it's actually 650lbs. When I asked where the floor inserts were he said they didn't come with them, but they actually do come with them already installed. Asked for a specific color and was told that color was "defective" and the manufacturer was recalling all of them, and that's another lie. When he realized I wasn't going to buy one right then and there, he proceeded to follow me around the store for the remainder of my visit. The only way he would've gotten closer was if he had ridden on my back! I ended up driving to San Marcos the same day and bought the exact kayak I wanted. If you buy anything from here, make sure you disinfect the hell out of it.

This place is just foul. This is a hole for sure. Walked in and immediately smelled cat piss. I…read moreonly noticed one cat but you can tell it laid on everything in the store. It had hair and scratches in the boats and furniture. Then there were bird cages that smells bad as well with almost black looking water in them. Fish tank didn't look too good either. There was a bag of open chips and other food items like salsa out in what looked like a break room, along with what looked like newspapers and trash laying around. It looked like hoarders storage unit. The boats were dirty and the kayaks were stacked on top of each other outside. So you had to move them to look at the other ones. It just looked completely unprofessional compared to other places. The sales guy didn't know anything. Everything he said was completely wrong from the pamphlet they have of the kayak I wanted sitting up front for anyone to take. If I can't get this kayak I want from anywhere else, then I'll just swim around.
