The guy who I called to answer all my questions named Ben was rude and not helpful. News flash, I can take my money elsewhere.

The entire team at Marine Max went out of their way to help me again. They replaced the cushions and also did a great job in installing some gear I wanted on my Boat. The enter staff got involved in helping me including Manager Christian Gonzalez, Salesman Brian Carranza , Finance Manager Estephanie Herrera and Service Manager Andrew Armao. These folks went of their way to help me and make sure I was happy . Please feel free to contact me if you have any doubts about purchasing from Marine Max Miami . They are a truly amazing group of folks and you won't regret the experience !!!!

1 star. I would never buy another boat from MarineMax. We…read morebought a brand-new boat from MarineMax Miami and spent the next 18 months dealing with one problem after another. In the roughly 55 hours we actually used the boat, it generated approximately 25 warranty/service requests. MarineMax was sending people to work on it almost every couple of weeks. Think about that. A normal outing for us is 5 or 6 hours, so we probably used this boat 9 to 11 times. That's roughly 2 to 3 warranty/service requests for every outing. On a brand-new boat. Eventually it became so unreliable that I refused to put my wife and children on it. The boat itself was the manufacturer's failure. My 1-star review of MarineMax is about how they handled the situation. We repeatedly escalated what was happening and asked for help. The President of MarineMax Miami never called us and didn't respond when I emailed him directly. The head of MarineMax service was copied on our communications throughout approximately 18 months of problems. We met with him exactly once and I never received a phone call from him. After we finally gave up and sold the boat, the President of MarineMax Miami responded to my final complaint and actually wrote that he had not gotten involved because he "did not feel [he] needed to intervene." That statement says everything about our experience. If a brand-new boat with approximately 25 warranty/service requests in 55 hours, service personnel showing up almost every couple of weeks, and an owner who no longer feels comfortable putting his children aboard doesn't warrant the attention of dealership leadership, what does? We finally sold the boat with only 65 total hours on it just to put an end to this experience. MarineMax likes to say "Delivering the Dream." For our family, they delivered the nightmare. If you're considering buying a boat from MarineMax, my advice after going through this for 18 months is simple: don't. Read what happened to us and don't make the same mistake I did. You don't really find out what kind of dealer you bought from until something goes seriously wrong.

He quickly diagnosed the problem, got the engine raised, and even assisted me in ordering the necessary parts. He's a one-man operation, so response times can vary, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in honesty, knowledge, and dedication to his customers. It's hard to find someone this trustworthy in the marine repair business. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and honest boat repair service.

Ricardo is an unassuming, modest but highly intelligent person who quietly listens to one's issues with the boat, engine or systems and then just goes to work confirming what one intuits he already knows is the problem and how to fix it? I wish I had called him to work on my boat sooner as instead, I called some else (I previously posted a review about that "mechanic"), who not only clearly is not as astute when it comes to outboard engines but boats' systems and unlike Ricardo, charges abusively for his sloppy services. Ricardo shows up on time but if he expects to be detained by some other job, has the courtesy to call the customer to alert him/her he's delayed. Unlike the other guy, he does not dress with a monogram uniform as he allows his work speak for him, not a uniform. I have owned sail and motor boats from 23' to 46' for 50 years (yes, I am 75 years old as the other guy for some reason, saw fit to point out in response to my review) and have taken multiple boating courses, inclusive of outboard engine repair. Over the years I have used the services of multiple boat yards, electricians and mechanics. Ricardo stands out way above any one else who has worked on my boats! I enthusiastically recommend him to boating friends and family without reservation!
