We arrived at 8:50 am for a 9:00 am rental, we checked in and walked down to the dock where there was a line to get boats. We finally got on the boat at 9:30 and the boat master was apologetic for the delay, that everyone had quit and he was the only person working and he had to come in on his day off. We asked if we could adjust the time to come back at 1:30 so that we received the 4 hours we had paid for and he told us that it was not an option because the boat was booked at 1:30, but that we could call and ask for discount or refund. The boat was nice and clean and ran well and we enjoyed our time on the water. However, upon our return I called to talk to the front office and was told that something could be done since we did not get our full 4 hours. My husband went to speak the man in the office and the man behind the counter was rude and unwilling to help. As he went to assist another customer, he told them that he needed to get them checked in so they would not get mad like the customer before them. My husband stated he was not mad, he just wanted a refund and not a discount towards another boat rental. The man behind the counter then proceeded to ask my husband if he wanted to take the conversation outside. This was beyond unacceptable. read more

We had a great time with Boat Florida Rentals celebrating my fiancée's birthday for the weekend. We rented a houseboat, a jet ski, and a pontoon boat and had so much fun exploring the area. Jet skiing back in the twisting creeks was a blast. We also too the pontoon boat out for some fishing and then to downtown Jacksonville for some sightseeing. Sleeping on the houseboat was a new experience and it was very luxurious. We had a sun deck for relaxing along with a grill for BBQ'ing. Boat Florida made the entire weekend easy and stress free. They provided clear instructions for all of the rentals and were always available to lend a hand when needed. For those who don't own watercraft, Boat Florida Rentals is a great way to enjoy the water in Florida without the hefty price tag of purchasing and maintaining the watercraft. We came here to rent a Kayak. The overall booking process and checking in and out was pretty simple. They tell you to get there about 30 minutes before your rental start time to fill out some paperwork and for a debriefing, it turned out to be about 10-15 minutes for us. Kayaking here isn't really impressive. There's really not much to look at and with the boat and jet-ski flying by it makes for a really bumpy ride. The late fee was three times the cost of the initial rental. Ouch! Make sure you paddle fast as hell if you are pushing that limit unless you have deep pockets because in that case it wouldn't really matter. I really wanted to rent a jet ski but they have a strict rule on not going past the Buckman and that's where all the fun is so that was a no go for us. This is also a marina so they do all sort of boat docking and service. I won't get into all of that since we don't have a boat...... Yet. read more

We rented one of the pontoon boats from Boat Florida Rentals. They were all great from start to finish. Michelle took our reservation over the phone and was so sweet and helpful. She answered my many questions and gave us all the information we needed. When we got there she walked us through the check out process and then called in one of the crew to take us to the boat. Ryan drove us around on a golf cart, helping us with all of our coolers and bags. He helped us get loaded on the boat and then went over everything with us step by step. He told us about the best places to go and we even got to see a manatee! The pontoon was out of this world! A brand new boat and very clean and comfortable. We have rented from other places and cities and have never been given a boat so nice. When we got back we got to meet one of the owners, Rusty, and he drove our boat to the fuel dock for us. We didn't have to worry about anything. Ryan was there again, helping us unload everything, and Michelle came out and gave us a ride on the golf cart to take us back to our car. We have never been treated so good by a rental company before. This is really stellar group. The boats are clean and everyone is as nice and as helpful as they can be would recommend to everyone. First time I rented a boat in FL and I hit it lucky the first try. These guys were great. Super fast check-in. Covered what I needed to know and suggested where we might go sightseeing. Stay away from this outfit! I called in advance to reserve 2 jet skis for my son and me for a 4 hour rental one afternoon last week - The weather forecast was 30% chance of afternoon rain and thundershowers that day so I asked about their weather cancellation policy - I was told by Daniel, one of the two owners, that if weather required a cancellation, there would be no charge for any unused time - We showed up to rent the skis and I was told that the entire amount had already been charged to my credit card before we arrived - At that point, because of the forecast, I again reconfirmed their weather cancellation policy and was assured that if we had to come in early because of weather we would be refunded for any unused time - Sure enough, a large thunderstorm developed with heavy rain and lightning and we had to come back early - We skied for a total of two and a half of the four hours - When we came in we paid cash to fill both skis up with gas as we had agreed to do and then asked for a refund for the hour and a half that we had paid for but were unable to use - We were made to wait over 20 minutes to speak with Daniel and when he finally came to speak with us he refused to refund any of my money - The sky was literally black and thunder, rain and lightning were all going on and Daniel gave no reason why he refused to refund any of my money - These are shady operators and you should definitely go elsewhere to rent any watercraft - read more
