We were seated at a table inside but there was a lovely patio, coved to keep the sun at bay, with additional seating. We split a smoked chicken Gorgonzola and tomato chutney sandwich. Sometimes you get a second chance to make a first impression- we came here for lunch around 2 or 3…read moreone afternoon and no one even came out to acknowledge us after 5+ minutes waiting at the hostess stand. But a couple of days later we realized they were the only place in town that serves a "real" breakfast so we decided to give them another try. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was very kind. I ordered the traditional breakfast with bacon, scrambled eggs and potatoes- it was really good. My husband ordered an omelette with sausage and he thought something was wrong with the sausage. We mentioned this to the server and the chef brought out 3 pieces of freshly cooked sausage for him to try and it was just not a good tasting sausage. It might be a Canadian thing to boil then fry the sausage, but as Americans it just didn't taste right. Everything else was good- the service, the ambience and the rest of the food.

They were a little bit busy good options on the menu. We enjoyed our bowls. They exactly as described. Nothing fancy very casual very basic. Smoothies were good. Energy balls were good. Also, worth adding that we were specifically looking for a vegan friendly place to eat, which isn't always easy to find, but they delivered with lots of vegetarian vegan options. Service was OK everybody's friendly, but it also seemed like they're busy or at the end of their shifts. Indoor and outdoor seating self serve very casual

Their website claims www.milliondollarview.ca...meh maybe $10k or $15k tops . They also have a lodge/hotel that is connected/above the restaurant. So guests of the lodge come in from time to time to check-in. From the pictures the lodgings don't look bad and seem reasonably priced. Plus if you stay they give a 15% discount. Will have to check it out next time. So from an atmosphere standpoint it is definitely old school. Vinyl table coverings and elevator music for mood enhancement. Don't let that put you off though. This is something seriously authentic Hungarian food. And don't go ordering the spaghetti or hamburger please! But becareful as well. Thought I knew what I was getting into with the beef stroganoff. Perhaps I am too westernized but I truly expected noodles. Nope! Beef, yes, mushrooms, check, but hey where we're my noodles! Instead there these big dough balls that look like they escaped from a Johnny Cake factory. And when did beef stroganoff have pickles? The menu said "cucumbers". There are few things that I don't eat and pickles in a dish, not my thing. But I guess it's authentic and I won't hold it against them. My wife really liked the dish so let her have at it. One warning the deep fried dough balls or dumplings as they call them are heavy so not a light meal. The wife ordered the weiner schnitzel. Can't go wrong with deep fried pork right? And fries?...can't go wrong. The schnitzel was well cooked and the red cabbage tasty. Perhaps I'm a bit too Asian but could it hurt to have some tonkatsu sauce on the side here? Help me out people! The couple that run the place are super nice and if I ever go to Hungary I'll know exactly what to expect. If you want a true taste of Hungary try this place out.
