I will agree with others that Julian…read morewas attentive and detailed as well as responsive and (initially) professional when planning our trip. Unfortunately, in addition to trip interruptions that were not his fault, nothing Julian planned for us worked out. The first hotel he booked for us was supposed to be in Dublin. It was an hour away because he said he couldn't find three beds in the city. Why, then, was he able to find one with 3 beds when we returned to Dublin? Unfortunately, we couldn't stay in that one either because it didn't fit the RV he knew we needed to park. Still, we found one within an hour that had plenty of big enough rooms and could accommodate the RV. When we decided to just book hotels ourselves (with no problems,) he took it personally and wrote me a really mean text. While on our train trip across Canada, we found out that we paid twice as much as some people for the tickets he booked. Even the train staff had never heard of such a high price, especially for how early we booked it. Finally, two hours before we were supposed to fly out of Vancouver, I discovered that Julian never booked our return flight. I thought there was no harm in using a travel agent that made their money off of commissions. I was wrong. All of the bookings that were successful were made by us through travel apps. I found out that's what Julian uses anyways; we just did it better. Regarding the problems we had that were unrelated to Julian (like a hurricane,) the trip insurance company he selected has also been problematic. Do not use tin leg insurance. Some reviews are good, except for the ones from people who actually needed to make a claim. They won't even cover the cost of the tickets Julian forgot to buy, even though they were calculated into the cost of our policy.

The core issue is that she has continued to refuse to explain a significant price hike on the last itinerary she sent us. Basically priced 6 nights at 1 family resort as costing more than 7 nights split between 2 high end adults only resorts. We did NOT book our trip with Sonoma Travel, and do not plan to use her company again.

One of the names was a family member that wasn't even traveling with us. Actually it was my sisters first name with my last name. That person doesn't even exists. So a last minute change cost more and screwed up all the flight seating. She booked the 2 year old in an exit row, and when we told her that we don't think a 2 year old can be in an exit row she said "it's not a big deal" well- when we got to the airport we had to change all of the seats around last minute because - as we said - a 2 year old can't sit in an exit row. We asked her to book us a luau, and when she hadn't yet booked it a month before we were leaving... We decided to book it ourselves. When telling her that we booked it, she said "oh good, I haven't done that yet" So we booked our luau, we changed our names on the flight, we changed all of the family members seats on the flight...
