Driving from San Antonio, we seen this neat concept via an instagram reel. The idea is to get everyone in your group to put down their cell phone and disconnect from electronics for a bit. As you walk in you are greeted by a friendly host and escorted to the game room where they supply an array of board games and card games that you are able to take back to your table to enjoy. We decided to play a game that we have not yet played, it was suggested by the staff member. After being seated, they help you get started by setting up the game and they even have cheat sheets that go over the rules in a simple fashion. They do have a cocktail bar as well as a menu that provides shareable appetizer-sized portions. We tried several and we all agreed they all tasted great. I would recommend the bacon and Philly cheese quesadillas. Seating is $9 per person and you get a two hour window to enjoy your game. Staff do come to your table periodically to help you with your food and drinks as well as to sort out any confusion you may be having with your game. Special game tables are installed where secret slide outs underneath the table are useful for extra room to hold drinks, gain pieces, or playing cards. The atmosphere is bright and inviting, and depending on how good the games are, a couple of cheers can be heard. We highly recommend it for a fun family night out. One suggestion I do have is to perhaps provide children with kid cups that contain a lid. As you can imagine, spilling a drink on the table with a board game can perhaps ruin game pieces. Otherwise, The fun was worth the drive! read more
