Hamid's support of STEM in our community has been incredible, including donations and involvement with events for both Pearland ISD and Alvin ISD. My son has worked closely with Mr. Abdoul and Mr. Dan, and they've helped him grow tremendously in his coding and AI knowledge. He now breezes through his AP Computer Science classes and genuinely looks forward to his sessions at Smart Core Labs. Recently, my younger son expressed an interest in cybersecurity and coding, and they even crafted a custom course to keep him engaged and challenged. What stands out most is how passionate Hamid and the instructors are about what they do. The focus is truly on teaching STEM and helping students grow, not just treating families like a monthly payment. They have even offered free programs when they believed students would benefit, which really shows their heart for education and the community. They are also very flexible with class schedules and consistently offer programs when kids are out of school, which is a huge help for working parents who want a safe, enriching place for their children to be. She reported the staff really didn't interact much with the kids; they did just a little gymnastics every day. Towards the end of the first week, when I picked her up she was hobbling after having hurt her ankle. She was given NO type of aid, not even ice and not even told to elevate. The staff just dismissed it when she said she hurt herself. Poor kid was in pain all afternoon. I should have been called, but was not. When I told the front desk person the next day, she could care less and did not even make any apologies. Unbelievable for a fitness place to not care about injuries. If I had not already signed up and paid for another week, I would not have taken her back. But we had so back she went a couple weeks later. This time, she got an eye infection, probably from their dirty equipment. One morning she woke up with her eye puffed up so big she couldn't open it. Went to her doc and it was a bacterial infection. Took a few days for her eye to return to normal. Again I told the front desk staff and again they could care less. I own a children's business myself and would have done things so much differently. Never going back for camp. There are other gyms we can use.

After 3 years of commitment to Pearland Elite, I was extremely disappointed and honestly…read moreheartbroken by the way my daughter Taylor's enrollment ended. Rather than having a direct conversation with me as her parent, Taylor was unenrolled following information surrounding a tryout at another gym. From my perspective, the decision appeared to be based on hearsay and assumptions rather than anyone simply picking up the phone and speaking with me first. After three years of our family investing time, money, trust, and Taylor pouring countless hours into this program, we deserved that basic professional courtesy. What makes this even harder is that Taylor genuinely loved Pearland Elite and absolutely adored her coach ( Kelly) . This was her gymnastics home for three years. These coaches and teammates were a major part of her childhood as she was home schooled there, so the way everything ended is something that will likely remain a core memory for her and unfortunately, not for the right reasons. In my opinion, the decision made by Tasha and Nick to unenroll my daughter felt emotional and reactive, rather than thoughtful and centered around an athlete who had been loyal to their program for years. A conversation could have changed the entire way this situation was handled. Exploring another gym was never about disrespecting her coaches or forgetting everything Pearland Elite had done for Taylor. It was about being parents and doing our due diligence for a child who has serious goals in this sport. Parents should be able to explore opportunities, ask questions, attend a tryout, and determine the best path for their child without fearing their child will immediately be removed from a program based on secondhand information. I also had heard of interactions with Nick that made me uncomfortable, including comments that I personally perceived as racially inappropriate and insensitive. Combined with how this situation was handled, it changed the way I viewed the leadership of the gym. Taylor worked hard, competed, represented Pearland Elite proudly, loved her coaches, and gave that program three years of her childhood. Regardless of where an athlete ultimately chooses to train, that level of dedication deserves respect, compassion, professionalism, and at minimum a conversation with her parent. We have moved forward and I am grateful Taylor is continuing her journey in an environment that aligns with the direction she wants to go. But I will always wish her chapter at Pearland Elite had been allowed to close with the same love and respect that she gave them for three years. It wasn't simply that our relationship with the gym ended. It was the way they chose to end it that I will never agree with.

Bringing on more athletes when the resources are already stretched thin. Most who progressing or staying on level are doing 2+ privates a week on top of the 16hrs a week of training. And some are even going outside of the gym to other gyms for privates because the coaches we are told to use either don't have availability or they just are new coaches who lack coaching experience. It's sad to see the quality of coaching go down .

I have had the distinct pleasure of watching Coach Anthony train and coach 3 of my grandsons over…read morethe past 8 years. Coach Anthony has a unique way of connecting with each of his players and respect is shown both ways. It has been fun to watch the kids grow and develop a strong love for the game. One of my favorite things about Coach Anthony is the sportsmanship he instills in the players. I have seen him pull back his very strong offensive players to defense and allow his defense to get a chance to score. This shows great compassion to not run up the score and allows defenders to learn different skills during the game. I highly recommend Coach Anthony and the Pasadena Energy FC.
