I was driving through Camarillo and was recommended to try Blvd Brgr by the folks at Institution Ale Co (great beer by the way). I ordered the Corned Beef Burger and my friend went with the Savage burger. Both burgers arrived sizzling hot. We cut them in half to share and try each others burger. The Corned Beef burger had an amazing flavor of high quality beef paired with flavorful corned beef. The braised onions added a sweet savory flavor as well. Loved it!! I tried my friends Savage burger and it was juicy and the flavor of the fried egg added a nice touch. Definitely a tried and true burger for locals i would imagine. I really get tired of the same cycle of Inn-n-out, Hook, and Eureka burger and Blvd Brgr really hit the spot with its unique burgers and shakes. The shake flavors do not end with the menu because the staff is nice enough to mix an match to your heart's desire. I love getting a chocolate strawberry banana and this is really the only place that nails the balance of the flavors and gave me fruity pebbles on the glass. I have tried the Philly-cheese, the blvd, and the svage brgrs and I will always come back for the svage brgrs. You might want to get the sauce on the side because the burgers are already so juicy they can destroy the breading. I've had to eat two of these glorious burgers with a knife and fork. I also had the chili-cheese fries and the fully loaded corn kind-of on a cob. They are both worth it but the corn may be more calories than its worth. Great new burger joint in Camarillo. Came with a large group for a work function and they were beyond accommodating & provided us with a great experience. Service: 5 stars- I'm so surprised to read views that said they were slow or the service lacked. Because I can honestly say the service was exceptional and we had a group of 15 people about. They reserved us the patio & took our order quickly. Given how many orders we had our food was brought out quickly and the servers continued to check up on us providing us with sauces, napkins, everything. Like I said they could have been any more helpful or positive. Food: my burger was hands down 4.5-5 stars. Not traditional with all of the different toppings but none the less really really good. I got the savage burger and it was exactly that! So bomb. Juicy, flavorful, and for about $10 not bad in my books. This restaurant is new and from what I've seen they deserve your business. Very sad to be disappointed with this place. I got the Korean chicken sandwich and it was honestly -gross- the sauce was way too sweet and they put so much to where the burger was soggy and unappetizing. I took 2 bites and just ate the truffle fries we got. The truffle fries were pretty good but not spectacular. The atmosphere was cute, it's at a good location in old town and the staff were really nice. But I don't see anything on the menu appealing enough to try it again. read more

This place was spectacular!!! The front staff worked like a well oiled machine. Let me tell you... Clockwork is a beautiful thing to watch. Everything was delicious!!! The young woman who took our order was really friendly and answered all 101 of my questions with full satisfaction on my part with her answers. I was so excited when she told me that everything was made in house!! There were a few quick hiccups, but most finely tuned watches can take a little water and keep ticking. This was sent on 12/12 and we never received a reply. When a place that I really like starts to go downhill, I prefer to contact them directly rather than just post a bad review. Their non-response is right in line with their downhill slide. To whom it may concern: My wife and I have been coming there since day 1. However, in the last few months it has become impossible to get a burger cooked as ordered. Actually, it's always been difficult.... The final straw was when the cook copped an attitude; his behavior was unacceptable and he made it very clear that the customer was not right. He stuck his finger into it and then threw the burger back on the grill, then acted like he wanted to have a "staring contest." I went back to my table to wait, but obviously not long enough! We walked out, probably to never return. There was no manager on duty and only one familiar face working. Nobody could figure how to issue a refund, so we waited and waited. This was on 12/2 at about 11:30. The cook was the one wearing a black shirt, not grey. I've seen him many times. When checking Yelp reviews, it's obvious that we are not alone with this problem. We like our burgers juicy and order them "a little less than medium" which has historically worked pretty well. The cashier had a hard time understanding this concept, so I clarified - between med-rare and medium, towards medium. In our experience the burgers now come out either very rare (raw inside) or very well done (dry). One other irritation is their inability to get the bun extra toasted. This picture was taken AFTER it had been sent back for more fire. As you can see from the texture of the meat, it was clearly raw (and cold) in the center. The other odd thing is that initially the order came out so quickly that the meat had to have been partially pre-cooked because it had a nice char that couldn't have happened that quickly. I hope there's something you can say that will enable us to regain confidence in your establishment. We live in Thousand Oaks and the trip used to be worth it. But not anymore! read more

I've been here three times so far. The first time the burger was really good and I thought I might have a new favorite in Ventura County within walking distance. The meat itself is a bit small on these burgers for the pricing; however, the taste on the first burger was really good and that's what really matters in a good burger. Can get hectic at registers; not much room to stand and order when it gets busy. 2. Can get noisy in small interior space (see #1) Would be nice to get aioli with Blvd Fries side. 3. What a great new spot! I had the Napa burger with sweet potato fries and a peanut butter and Nutella shake. The burger was cooked very well - lots of delicious color on the party but not over cooked at all. The bun was light and crispy and soft, and soaked up all the juices. The cambazola and bacon on the burger were a bang on combo. The fries were crispy and delightful. The shake was wicked!! So thick and really packed with both flavors. Husband's burger (which I forget, but it had egg and jalapeño hash) was really spot on as well. Our son had a grilled cheese and he was happy as well. It's an order-at-the-counter type of place and our service experience was great. Helpful at the counter and burgers came out quickly. It's small & busy so plan accordingly. Today was my first visit and it wont be my last because I really loved my burger. I got the bacon cheeseburger combo about $15 and I didn't mind the price because it was worth it. I loved everything about it...the way the patty was cooked (med well) the fresh flaky bun (just melts in your mouth), crisp veggies and the sauces...oh my gosh! Aside from the norm ketchup and ranch, you gotta try the others sauces. Fries were good, crispy and golden, love how they added the fresh parsley as well to them. Nice touch. The size and amount was satisfying to me. I got full with half and took the rest home. Next time I will try the peanut butter nuttela shake! Yes, you read that right....Nuttela and peanut butter. The patio area gives you a nice place to sit and enjoy your delicious burgers and shakes, or you can sit in the dining area which is a pretty good size. As for the food, it's fantastic! My wife and I hit happy hour at BLVD after a stellar review from a friend. We were NOT disappointed! As we often do, we ordered two different burgers and split them. Both burgers were juicy and cooked to a very nice medium/medium rare. The Napa Brgr was covered in sauteed mushrooms, melted brie cheese and a delicious bacon-onion jam. As we cut in to the Savage Brgr, the over easy egg painted the plate a golden yellow. It just got messier from there. Guacamole and onion smash were everywhere by the time I finished that one. After adding up the number of napkins I used, I vowed to plant a tree in my backyard. The onion rings were incredible - thick and crunchy! The beer selection is adequate and both of the craft beers we ordered were pretty. I would have liked to hear more about them from the young lady at the register so we could have made a more informed decision but... lesson learned. Some good deals during happy hour, but still a little pricey, but not so much that we won't give BLVD another chance next time we're in Old Town Camarillo... which won't be today...
