2.5 stars. With the banners outside proclaiming "Voted Best Burger" (by whom, I do not know), the expectations were set high. Firstly, even before we ordered anything, I noticed the faint smell of sewer in the main dining room. Yes, I know it's a beer place, and that odor would be expected, but "poop" isn't anyone's jam. The food was below average, not even on par with a chain restaurant. The fried pickle spears (I was expecting medallions) were over-battered and they clearly spent a lot of time in the fryer. The tots were tasteless, the french fries were OK. My daughter usually gobbles up a grilled cheese sandwhich, but she stopped after the first bite. At first I thought she was in one of her difficult moods, but after I took a bite I understood why she stopped. My poblano chicken sandwich was just OK, however there was simply too much bun. Nobody wants that much bread anymore. A thinner egg bun would render this a better sandwich overall. The turkey burger was forgettable just 30 minutes later as I'm writing this. The lumc set me back about $50 with sodas (one of which was a kids drink), no alcohol. As a local, I'd REALLY like this place to actually be what they advertise out front. I wouldn't begrudge them their prices if they had the food to back it up. As it stands, just come for a beer to watch the game on TV. read more

The fries taste like old oil. too much mayo on the chicken club sandwich. this is the second time this has happened so i just decided this place is a big NO for me. the salads aren't bad that's one good thing i can say. I met up with some friends at Blvd Brgr a few months back and it was a great little hamburger joint in Old Town Camarillo. The burgers are made to order and everything was very fresh and quality ingredients are used. There are 9 burger selections including 1 chicken and 1 vegetarian option along with 2 salads to pick from. I ordered a side order of Shishito peppers for the table and everyone loved them. They are not spicy at all, and have such a great flavor and yummy dipping sauce. You place your order at the counter and a staff member will bring your food once it's ready. The staff was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal. They have a small bar and have about 15 beers on tap. There is ample amount of seating and it's very clean inside. I recommend Blvd Brgr for an easy meal before date night or if you just don't feel like cooking for the evening. Great burgers and the milk shakes are made fresh. read more

When this place first opened we came every weekend. I enjoy their burgers and fun shake flavors. Recently service has gone down from what it used to be. The kids are always new and cooks are new too so things can be hit or miss. I'll keep it a 4 star because it's still a nice little spot for lunch/dinner that is not far from home which is convenient. Mozzarella sticks were stale a few nights ago and they serve it with COLD marinara sauce, what a disappointment! Skip the appetizers unless it's the pretzels and just get a burger. read more

Filthy tables both inside and out. Dirty dishes were left on the table from previous guest were never taken away. I even politely pointed to them and was ignored. We ate our entire meal with a pile of dirty dishes and glasses on our table. Employees looked at them several times and left them. Burger was flavorless mush. Great local 'artisan' Burger. While I'm not sure how artisan it is based on a lack of sourcing info on where the meat is from ( butcher shop, Pat LaFrieda/ Schweid and Sons, or grass vs. grain fed ) or the blending ratios of meat to fat or what part of the cow was used for that blend (chuck, sirloin, rib-eye etc.). None the less it was with the toppings ( bacon, onion, guacamole , lettuce etc ) very well presented and tasty. Additionally the fries were exceptional compared to anything else I've had ( Munch Box chilli fries , tallow fries from Heavy handed) and pure joy to eat. I would definitely come back. read more

Blvd Brgr has made it to my top 5 burger joints! I absolutely love their food! We kind of found this place on a whim while looking on yelp. We were in Camarillo to visit the outlet, and we decided to stop here for lunch. I had a Napa Burger which has sautéed mushrooms, melted brie, garlic aioli, and bacon onion jam with a side of tator tots. I ordered my burger well-done and it was still juicy and delicious. However, the tator tots were just OK. There wasn't much flavor to them, so I was a little disappointed because I love tator tots. My husband had the Savage Burger which has an over-easy egg, applewood smoked bacon, guacamole, American cheese, jalapeño onion hash, garlic aioli, and lettuce. It has a spicy kick to it from the jalapeño onion hash, but mixed very nicely with the other flavors of the bacon and egg. He also ordered the Blvd Fries which I highly recommend. It's tossed with feta, garlic aioli, mint, and seasoning. Really flavorful! Aside from the tator tots, the food was excellent! This is my new favorite burger place in Camarillo! I ordered the Volcano burger with two patties (I figured the patties would be small like most places, but nope one patty is enough.) Cheese skirt had pieces of jalapeños, which add more flavor. Chipotle aioli was a perfect touch to bring a little more heat. Burger was packed full of flavor and juicy. I've always enjoyed supporting local establishments over chains any day. I will be back but next time for a single. One more thing, fries come on a tray and can serve two people. read more

My friends were here yesterday and loved it so much we decided to roll up today. Truthfully, I wasn't even really that hungry since we had just had breakfast a few hours prior, but since we were there I figured why not. I got the Svage burger (the selling point was the egg) with a side of sweet potato fries and a cherry milkshake. I ended up only having the cherry milkshake because they were out of lime. Everything was delicious. The burger was perfectly cooked and had all the right fixins and the sweet potato fries were crispy and the shake was oh so good. I will say though that because the burger had a lot going on it got really messy. I ended up using so many napkins to clean my hands. Shoutout to the staff who remembered my friends were there the day before. And a special mention goes out to Jenisha who went above and beyond taking care of us. I originally wanted the cherry lime shake, but they were out lime so she winged it and made me a cherry shake that was so good it made me forget what I originally wanted to order. This place is very expensive and the food does not reflect the price. The fries were still cold in the middle from being frozen from the bags. It did have a refrigerator taste to them and for being this pricey, you would think they would be fresh. A gourmet burger well worth the price. The West of Philly burger is amazing. The generous portion of meat and toppings is perfect. The bun was slightly toasted with a soft center. I wish I had a better review and a better experience. I was really excited to try this place, especially with all the reviews and pictures I saw. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype.
