I've gotten my tongue and nose pierced here, and plan on getting my snake bites done here soon too…read more I have been completely satisfied with my experience both times. Staff is always very friendly and a lot of fun to talk to. They are definitely well educated in their field and open to a slew of questions, and know how to deal with a woozy client like me post-piercing. I'm very pleased with the pricings as well, and considering the quality jewelry you can get here as well it's all around a great choice!

I would give this place a zero if I could. I went in last week for a flat piercing. Online it said…read moreit would be $25 dollars, I expected some charge for the jewelry itself but I never expected my total to end of at $120 dollars. Even so, my piercer did NOT use a long enough bar to account for the swelling that have been experiencing. It was so painful I couldnt even touch my ear. This morning I woke up with my ear so swollen I could BARELY see the backing of the piercing. I had to go to the ER to get it removed because it was so lodged inside. I spoke to a manager at the shop and told her what happened to see if I could get SOME of my money back. She told me "I should've come in and given them a chance to put a longer bar in" and "its normal for overswelling to occur with this kind of piercing ". The fact that the DOCTORS couldnt find the back of the piercing should be enough indicator that the shop absolutely could not have gotten it out of my ear without excruciating pain which I experiencing now. My piercer's name was Ceirah, I feel a professional would know to account for swelling instead of causing an infection that lost me a day of work. I will never be back and to anyone who goes there, good luck and I hope you dont experience the same.

I actively sought out the work from this shop based on the style and consistency of their tattoo…read morework product as seen on their instagram page. I was in the market for a cover up tattoo and they knocked it out of the park. I have since been back twice for more work done--and I make the drive down from DC because they are good at what they do. If you're looking for an in-demand studio that does beautiful watercolor work in a clean environment by quality human beings--you found the right shop. Expect to wait a while (at least a month unless there is a cancellation or you get lucky) for your appointment because their artists are popular. As someone who once had a bad tattoo, I can tell you a good tattoo is worth the time and investment. Do not expect a drive-thru shop, these folks are the real deal. They care about the work they do and I would trust them with any tattoo project in the future. I always leave happy and with more ink plans for the future. Pro tips: e-mail: It's the most effective route. They are a small shop so they only check mail once a day--usually in the evening. They usually take a day or two to respond. This is normal. Once you are on their books, don't expect to hear back. You're in there, if you need to confirm--go ahead and send a confirmation email. appointments: You'll need to "get on their books" which means they open their calendar for a month or two in advance. Once they have their calendars booked--they close their books and won't schedule anything unless there is a cancellation. If you're stuck in limbo--follow them on instagram because that's where they post their books opening. Pricing: an hourly rate. The number of hours depends on how much detail and work is necessary. I have found them more than fair in their estimates. Experience: expect a clean inviting space with private stations. Unlike other shops, you get privacy by way of cubicle-style workspaces. Your artist will wear a mask and gloves. Your skin will be properly sanitized and cleansed throughout. Breaks will be taken at your discretion and as the artist needs breaks. Concept: Send reference pictures, your artist will develop the concept the day of your appointment. You will have plenty of opportunity to provide input but it's best in my experience to be open to artistic license. You're at a shop that specializes in free form. They will give you a beautiful piece. All-in-all I love this shop! I find it warm and inviting and a place I would highly recommend. If you understand this is a thriving small business that handle all their own calls and marketing--then you will also appreciate how they can provide amazing pieces at fair prices. Highly recommend.

I made my deposit February 4th, 2020 and still haven't been able to book for my tattoo with Brad Everything was great when they took my $100 for a nonrefundable deposit, I waited due to the shutdown for Covid, I was very understanding being on the same boat. Definitely not the same energy they had taking my deposit and then trying to make the later appointment, respect of someone's time should come on both ends. Super dissatisfied with this business.

Tina is an incredible piercer! I have gotten my VCH, Nipples & Navel pierced by her. She is a true…read moreexpert. Her manner is warm, professional and calming. I appreciated the time she took for perfect placement. She talked me through the process step by step. The process itself was quick and as close to pain free as you can get. My healing journey has been smooth and without issue. I had a great experience and highly recommend.

Our experience at Electric Pair O' Dice was PARADISE!…read more I'll go into detail for parents considering signing off on a piercing for their teen, as I was. Reviews helped us settle on this tattoo & piercing parlor. It looked as legit as could be and already had good testimonials and insta pics. It was even better in real life. My 14 y o daughter did all her own research for a septum piercing, saved up for it, and felt ready. Of course she was still nervous and had questions for her piercer. Enter Tina. Trust me, if your minor is getting a body piercing, Tina is who you want holding the needle. She came around from the counter, sat on the bench with my daughter, answered all her questions, eased her anxiety. From this conversation alone, I knew my daughter was in good hands. If you're wondering what to bring, they took her state ID and birth certificate for age verification, and my license for parental authorization. Fill out a form and it's on to the piercing booth !! Tina explained each step directly to my daughter, respecting her as the informed client. She was clearly in tune with my teen's body language; I cannot emphasize enough how well Tina kept the energy in the room a perfect balance of relaxed anticipation. She took care preparing my daughter's little nose, gently probing to identify the "sweet spot" while talking her through all of it. My daughter said the needle was less painful than she expected. She's been so excited for this moment and is really thrilled with the result. Her silver septum clicker looks adorable, and she is relieved it's perfectly centered. Care instructions were provided along with cleaning solution. Tina made sure we understood what to expect of the healing process and set us up with a few checkup appointments. I recommend Electric Pair O' Dice and Tina specifically, 100%. Yes: teen friendly

Wasteland tattoos is fantastic! Highly professional, fair prices, clean, efficient, and precise! I…read morehighly would recommend to all of my friends. The tattoo that I requested was very simple and small, and they could not have executed this more perfectly. Furthermore, this was my first tattoo, and they put my newbie nerves at ease immediately. Pros: Price: The tattoo that I received cost $160 (pre tip). They ask for a deposit of 50% in advance, and then have you pay the rest onsite. I believe that $160 is the minimum price for any tattoo here. Tripp provided me with a quote in advance, per my request, and was very prompt and direct about the pricing as soon as I provided him with an example of what I wanted, which I really appreciated. I initially felt like this price was a bit high, however I called several highly rated tattoo parlors in the area, and this was the lowest price for my simple tattoo. So comparatively, this place checks out, price-wise! I am glad I paid to have it done at Wasteland, as the experience was incredible. Accuracy: The tattoo was executed exactly as I requested-- I couldn't have asked for it to be any more accurate, honestly. It was simple, but I think with simple designs, any flaws are even more visible, in a way? So I was very pleased with how it came out. Friendliness: I had a very pleasant experience here. Banter throughout the tattooing process, I felt like my artist and I were just friends hanging out. There were upbeat R&B oldies playing, which put me right at ease. Pain: Truly painless, to be honest. I was shocked by how little pain I experienced. Honestly, it was reminiscent of a small scratch. Also super quickly completed. Simplicity of booking: Booking this appointment was so easy. I figure that this is partly due to the simplicity of my design, however I was still surprised how quickly they got me in. I was able to secure an appointment within a week of reaching out. When I showed up, they were ready for me, and the entire experience felt very streamlined and efficient. Clean studio: The studio was clean, modern, spacey, and private. The bright colors and upbeat music put me at ease immediately. Masks were worn throughout the process. Instructions on treatment/self care of tattoo: My artist provided me with detailed instructions as to how to care for my tattoo. I asked a lot of beginner, kinda silly questions, but never felt belittled, and felt like I was being taken seriously and really cared for just in the way that my questions were addressed. The care process was honestly very easy, and within a couple of days, I felt that it was pretty much healed up! A super easy and fun process :) Cons: Truly ZERO from me! I am so pleased with my tattoo and impressed with the overall experience offered at Wasteland tattoos. I am recommending to all of my friends in the DC area! Go here! You will not be disappointed, and your expectations will surely be exceeded, as mine were.
