What’s the minimum for a tattoo? Like if I want a tiny one (Ex. Smiley face) would it be a lot?

    Shop minimum is $60

I'm in the area rn highly considering coming in. It's a simple small design to compliment my other arm. How's the availability looking today?

Yes we try to accept walk-ins daily from 12-7… wait time depends on how busy we are

I actively sought out the work from this shop based on the style and consistency of their tattoo…read morework product as seen on their instagram page. I was in the market for a cover up tattoo and they knocked it out of the park. I have since been back twice for more work done--and I make the drive down from DC because they are good at what they do. If you're looking for an in-demand studio that does beautiful watercolor work in a clean environment by quality human beings--you found the right shop. Expect to wait a while (at least a month unless there is a cancellation or you get lucky) for your appointment because their artists are popular. As someone who once had a bad tattoo, I can tell you a good tattoo is worth the time and investment. Do not expect a drive-thru shop, these folks are the real deal. They care about the work they do and I would trust them with any tattoo project in the future. I always leave happy and with more ink plans for the future. Pro tips: e-mail: It's the most effective route. They are a small shop so they only check mail once a day--usually in the evening. They usually take a day or two to respond. This is normal. Once you are on their books, don't expect to hear back. You're in there, if you need to confirm--go ahead and send a confirmation email. appointments: You'll need to "get on their books" which means they open their calendar for a month or two in advance. Once they have their calendars booked--they close their books and won't schedule anything unless there is a cancellation. If you're stuck in limbo--follow them on instagram because that's where they post their books opening. Pricing: an hourly rate. The number of hours depends on how much detail and work is necessary. I have found them more than fair in their estimates. Experience: expect a clean inviting space with private stations. Unlike other shops, you get privacy by way of cubicle-style workspaces. Your artist will wear a mask and gloves. Your skin will be properly sanitized and cleansed throughout. Breaks will be taken at your discretion and as the artist needs breaks. Concept: Send reference pictures, your artist will develop the concept the day of your appointment. You will have plenty of opportunity to provide input but it's best in my experience to be open to artistic license. You're at a shop that specializes in free form. They will give you a beautiful piece. All-in-all I love this shop! I find it warm and inviting and a place I would highly recommend. If you understand this is a thriving small business that handle all their own calls and marketing--then you will also appreciate how they can provide amazing pieces at fair prices. Highly recommend.

I'm going to be really transparent, this review is for how rude the receptionist was when I tried…read moreto book my appointment she was very short with me and I'm a nonconfrontational person. I made my deposit February 4th, 2020 and still haven't been able to book for my tattoo with Brad Everything was great when they took my $100 for a nonrefundable deposit, I waited due to the shutdown for Covid, I was very understanding being on the same boat. Definitely not the same energy they had taking my deposit and then trying to make the later appointment, respect of someone's time should come on both ends. Super dissatisfied with this business.

I wanted to surprise my husband with some celebratory new ink to commemorate our 10 year…read moreanniversary... the idea came to me last minute and I'm one of those people who when I think of something, I have to get it done asap! There's no patience with me. Lol. Considering the fact that most of the time, I'm a bit of an over thinker... this is a good balance, however ... NOT good when you're talking about trying to find a tattoo shop to not only take you as a walk in but a second person as well. Driving 30 mins and fighting through traffic and having my hopes up being told over the phone by another shop (not gonna say any names but they're very known downtown Fredericksburg) to come on down - We were turned away because of how ridiculously packed they were. There's no reason I should have even been told to come, they had been packed since opening. So now the cat is out of the bag and my husband now knows about the surprise even though it was a fail... he's crazy excited with the idea so now we're both sitting in the car calling around to see who has availability to do 2 walk in. After almost giving up, I came on YELP and decided to call one last shop. That shop was TATTOO HAVEN. I wish I could remember the gentleman's name who owned the place and picked up ... but he was very upfront with me in telling me they had some time now and could do it today (I told him the pieces were very small) but I may have to do some waiting around. Cool with us. Immediately walking in, we were greeted by 3 people like we were old time friends. I felt welcomed, invited and when I showed what tattoos I wanted - they even shared my enthusiasm. My husband and I are both big Harry Potter fans and the piece we got was a HP theme. It turned into a pretty dope convo about HP with all 3 of the shop employees. I say all this really bc sometimes (ok a lot of the times) walking into a tattoo shop can be pretty intimidating. I have thick skin and sometimes even I get a little rubbed the wrong way with some of the mannerisms of tattoo artists and shop owners. This was the opposite of that. From the initial phone call, to walking in - I truly felt so at ease here. Honestly I could see this as a place I would come to just chill on the couch as if you would do with friends. Now for the actual work done. We friggin LOVE it! Diesel is who did both my husband and I work and the longest time was just waiting for him to draw it up, making sure it was exactly as we wanted it. After that he got us in and out of his chair surprisingly quick. May have even been quicker if it weren't for the fact that we all talked so much lol. I will most def go back to Diesel for any work from now. Our oldest daughter is turning 18 next week and wants some ink and I feel more than comfortable bringing her here. Tattoo Haven def passes the vibe check. I found my shop. (Oh and I put the pic of our tatts, along with a little background of our love story on Fb and the post went friggin viral. LOL! Sooo, that's dope cuz we all know how the Internet can be pretty cruel place lol...)
