Our experience at Electric Pair O' Dice was PARADISE! I'll go into detail for parents considering signing off on a piercing for their teen, as I was. Reviews helped us settle on this tattoo & piercing parlor. It looked as legit as could be and already had good testimonials and insta pics. It was even better in real life. My 14 y o daughter did all her own research for a septum piercing, saved up for it, and felt ready. Of course she was still nervous and had questions for her piercer. Enter Tina. Trust me, if your minor is getting a body piercing, Tina is who you want holding the needle. She came around from the counter, sat on the bench with my daughter, answered all her questions, eased her anxiety. From this conversation alone, I knew my daughter was in good hands. If you're wondering what to bring, they took her state ID and birth certificate for age verification, and my license for parental authorization. Fill out a form and it's on to the piercing booth !! Tina explained each step directly to my daughter, respecting her as the informed client. I came here to get my septum and my nipples pierced. The first time I came in I was enamored by the place. I love the inside. It's welcoming, it's visually engaging, and overall just a cool place to be in. I had a different piercer for each piercing and they both gave me great experiences. Both piercers made sure I was comfortable and allowed me to take my time if needed. After both piercings I was given a very clear list of care instructions and offered saline spray to clean my piercings. I went to get my septum pierced by Joey and it was AMAZING. He made me feel very comfortable, and made sure all my questions were answered before he pierced me. It is pricey, but you are given high quality jewelry. I got mine pierced with a 18g circular and it is healing good so far. I enjoy the atmosphere and didn't feel strange which I expected to having never been to a tattoo shop. I am a minor and was not told what documents I had do bring but that wasn't too much of an issue, bring your id and birth certificate as well as ur parent and their id. alright, so, this review might be a little bit long-winded but my last experience here has stayed with me and i can't not say anything. i've been to electric pair o' dice twice - once for a fix-up of a tattoo i got at a different shop. the other for an impulsive tattoo/piercing day. this review is referring to the latter. i came back to electric pair o' dice because my fix-up went really well. the artist was patient, kind, and had a gentle hand. i initially wanted to get my belly button pierced but later decided i wanted to try to get a quick, minimal tattoo i'd been wanting for a while. i didn't have the reference photo on hand so i had to look for it through my phone. after i finally found the photo, i showed it to who was helping me (who i later found out was the manager/owner..?). i let him know it was indigenous imagery, and i wanted to exclude two symbols from the reference photo. for context, i am an indigenous woman (and am fully indigenous presenting.) im very proud of my culture and my heritage and have never had a single person call my ethnicity into question, let alone a white man. i had the intention of excluding the two images because a. i wanted to, and i know the personal importance of the symbols and didn't like the particular design of those two specific symbols in the reference photo i showed him and b. i had an intention in my mind of later elaborating on the tattoo at a different date with an indigenous artist. after letting him know i wanted to exclude the two symbols, he questioned me and said "you know those symbols mean something, right?" of course i took a beat and told him i did and that i was literally indigenous. he continued to say that the symbols together mean something (which is only partially true, this man clearly had no idea what he was talking about.) and that it would lose meaning without them. i kind of just thought... okay... white man telling me about my own culture? he then went on to say his wife was partially native. like, wtf? it very much gives "i have black friends!" energy. i don't give a f about your wife and her ethnicity. cool if she's native, cool if she's not. it was honestly extremely off putting and i just decided that i would get a different tattoo from their flash to avoid complicating things. while i was waiting for my artist to set up, i quite literally heard some of what he was saying in the shops back office with other people in the shop. i couldn't tell if he was talking about me, or native claimers, but i heard him say "you're not even enough to claim that." and other extremely invalidating words. i was raised in an extremely native ndé household, my entire family lives in brownsville, tx, we are federally registered, i have been called redbone and pocahontas my entire life (these are not good things to say!!) i know the native experience because I AM INDIGENOUS. it's almost as if i have to show him my rez card to prove i'm native? to have a caucasian business owner say his piece in front of me was truly disturbing. my artist was amazing, he was funny and kind and did my itty bitty flash amazingly. the artists are never the problem. do not come to this establishment as a person of color. read more

Customer Service = ZERO! Went there to get a scheduled 6pm appointment for joint tattoos for my daughter's 18h birthday for $600. To start with both artists were late. My daughter's artist was very polite and attentive...and he did a great job despite starting late...no complaints about him! I waited and waited for my artist well past 8pm....only for him to appear and tell me "I traveled all the way from California, I'm tired and I'm f@@king up your drawing while falling asleep...I need to reschedule." While waiting and holding my daughter's hand while she was getting her tattoo, I ran to my car quickly to get a book, and in doing so I noticed my car wouldn't start. It appeared to be the battery but after calling AAA they said it could be the battery of alternator. Back in the shop I finished my tattoo and the woman identified as the owner's daughter took my $600 payment and she later came and told me that my car was being towed. I explained to her that it would start and that it was AAA towing my car to the dealership...nor worries. After my tattoo was complete, I stated to the "owner's daughter" that I would need to wait for about 10 minutes for a ride to pick me up who fairly close by. The tattoo shop is on a dark road, the parking was dark, and I didn't want to stand out in the dark on a desolate road with my daughter....it just wasn't safe. Within 5-minutes of this request the "owner's daughter" says to me "I'm going to need you all to wait outside because we are going out to eat." I then said to her "look we just spent $600 in your shop, my ride will be here in less than 5 minutes, I am not waiting with my daughter in some dark desolate parking lot." She then caught and attitude and went into and office. My ride showed up in about three minutes and I left. The owner, the next day calls me irritated because his daughter was upset about what occurred. I explained to him what occurred and instead of apologizing for my wait, apologizing for the poor customer service, and thanking me for my $600 worth of business, he began to defend the actions of his artist and daughter. Unacceptable! Our conversation ended with yelling, back and forth cursing, and I eventually hung up. The absolute worse customer service experience I have ever had! I WOULD NOT spend a penny in this place every again. COMPLETE THUMBS DOWN! Unprofessional and poor customer service! Never again! I just read a YELP REVIEW just before this one and it said "Don't come to the establishment if you're a person of color." Well I'm a person of color and I wish I had read this before ever going into this shop! Plenty of tattoo shops in the area...THIS IS NOT THE ONE! read more

Jeremiah (APP certifed) and his team were very nice and professional. I called in the morning when they opened to ask if he had any openings and they worked with me to get on his schedule, same day! like within hours (talk about customer service). I walked in and the COVID regulations are safe and efficient. Which are super important in my book. They have you sanitize and wipe anything you may have in hand. The greet you at the door and there is plenty of space for social distancing. I met with Jeremiah and the piercing was nearly painless.He has patiences and will show you the passing of sterilization with everything he uses, which is a plus this day and age with the pandemic. The aftercare instructions are clear and caring- any issues he stressed to call him and he will address it. In addition, I had a question and I called and within minutes I was answered. Again, the customer service is what is the most important when running a business and this shop exceeded that. The art of the wall and the decor is awesome and definitely eye catching. I have already recommended friends/family to go visit this fantastic shop for any piercing/tattoo needs. You will not be disappointed. read more
