The owner was also the main barista, coffee roaster, host, and probably everything else. He was really amiable and anxious to talk about the business and the building. There is only one small, residential-grade espresso machine at work, so service isn't brisk, but we weren't upset with the pace. The menu board outlines the options, but we had no issue with getting something off-menu if we knew what was in it. A small roaster on the back counter worked to ready beans for later use. The space is large and comfortable. There is local art on the walls (available for purchase), a few couches and big windows looking onto Broadway. A great club to be a member of Tuesday through Saturday!

There were some cookies and macarons out when we stopped by as well, the former of which was vegan and gluten free. Who knew such a woke business was tucked away in Storm Lake? They also have a drive thru, but I recommend stopping inside with a friend for a nice morning in town. I tried a mint mocha seasonal drink and the aforementioned vegan oatmeal cookie. Both were great and I would get them again. This is my new go-to coffee shop in Storm Lake and it is absolutely worth a visit.
