What's there to say, except that my experience with Blumer and all of their staff was superb! Smooth ride, from beginning to the end!

I was referred to the shop by AAA. First impression was they were very nice and helpful and I felt good about taking my vehicle there. I was told it was a $250 fee to diagnose and that fee could also be applied to the final cost so I told them to go ahead. After having my car for two weeks and several phone calls back-and-forth they told me they didn't really know what the problem was but they thought it was the fuel injectors. They were going to charge me $1800 with no guarantees that would fix it. So I told them no thanks and I picked it up. They charge me $500 and fixed nothing. After spending a few months working on it myself and changing the fuel injectors at a cost of $300 along with the coils and plugs I found that it was a $1.73 hose that was the problem. I'm having a hard time believing that their master mechanic either didn't realize this could be a problem or knew but wanted to make more money than a $1.73 hose would cost. Because of this there is no way I would ever take my business there again or be able to recommend this shop to anyone. read more

This is maybe the second time I come here. Not sure why I didn't post a review after the first but here it goes. I've had the best auto shop experience here! This place is professional, friendly, clean, and has very fair pricing. Everytime I've come here I leave kind of surprised at how fair the totals are. They appeared very knowledgeable but inviting. At no point did I feel like I was being taken advantage of like many of my past experiences with auto shops. This place gets major points a.) For being so close to my house b.) For having a shuttle service and a car rental service in house c.) For having an awesome indoor waiting area with comfy couches, a flat screen TV, magazines and coffee, and finally d.) I was towed by the AAA of So Ca to this auto repair center under the impression that they were open on Saturdays. In fact that had been true but their work hours had recently changed. Max, Eddie, and Sasha all tried to help me on a Saturday so that I could depart on my scheduled trip. I really appreciated their efforts on a very hot and brutal Saturday. It wasn't meant to be but they finished installing a rebuilt starter for a 1978 Dodge Sportsman on Monday. They tried their best to help me and I am thankful. read more

I unfortunately had gotten into a minor accident and was referred to this auto body shop by my insurance. Everything was fine when dropping off my vehicle and getting the pictures taken. But my main complaint is the turn around time & inconsistency this shop has. I asked when the parts needed to repair my would arrive, they had no idea... they would even tell me parts can take up to a month. No idea when anything would come in & and would never give me an estimated date to when my car would be finished. They NEVER gave updates on the car, I had to call constantly to ask about my car's status (which was useless cause all they would say is they don't know). When they WOULD contact me it would be about the insurance check! That they had no problem constantly asking/calling about and wanting in a timely manner. Overall, this experience was annoyingly long & irritating -- I understand delays but almost three/four weeks without a car that was not even in horrible shape before bringing in is ridiculous. read more

Those guys are professionals( their mechanics are top notch and have all their certificates hanging on a big wall) I feel comfortable leaving my car their for repairs, its quick and affordable. A wiseman once told me aside from your parents there should be 3 other people u should trust. That would be your lawyer, your doctor and your mechanic. That wise man is named Max (with the beard because theres 2 Maxs that work there). Now allow me to begin my story. Ahem. I get my oil change at Jiffy Lube. That is on a Saturday. When they are done I drive off to start my day. Right when I pulled out the parking lot my car started acting funny. High revs and it wasn't accelerating properly. It was odd. I paid no mind at that moment because I had errands to run for mothers day. I didnt drive on Sunday. Monday I get in my car and it wouldnt budge for shit! It would only go top speed 25 mph and all u smelled was oil and clutch. I take it 2 Jiffylube and explain what happen. They said it couldn't be them all they changed was the oil. It had to be my clutch they said. I said how can that be? I bought the car 2 months ago and all of this happen after getting my oil change? Thats 2 weird. U know what they said. "Well we live in a weird world." I wanted 2 rip his heart out. So I get my car towed home and Im depressed because clutches aren't cheap. I call Blumer Auto Center and speak to Max (with the beard) he tells me to bring it in so he can take a look at it. It seems that my transmission oil was pretty much empty. Those guys in Jiffy Lube accidently unscrewed the wrong bolt and drained the fluid out. Max saw my pain and he gave me a extremely great deal on a new clutch! Thank u Max. I guess the moral of the story is there are good people out there and Max and the crew from Blumer are part of that honest good crowd. Thank U Max! From now on Im trusting my car with u brother. Blumer auto center is one of those rare places that doesn't feel like you're being squeezed out of your money. They reached out to my online appointment inquiry promptly and were very courteous. I needed my spark plugs changed out in my Honda Civic but had issues doing it on my own because the old ones were pretty jammed in there. Upon mentioning that I still had a new set that I wanted to be use, I was informed of the pros and cons of my decision but was not pressured to buy a new set and the service price reflected the incorporation of my own plugs. Very satisfied with my experience and wish I had found this place years ago. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. Matt and his team went over and above in every aspect. If it wasn't for Matt and his team I wouldn't have a car. I was priced thousands of dollars of repairs at the car dealership and was shopping for salvage places due to thinking my car was dead beyond fixing. After talking to Matt he fixed my car for 1/4 of the price. It is running like a brand new car and I was even given a complementary car wash before I drove off. Matt not only saved my car but also saved my bank account. I can not recommend this man or this company enough. I will be a costumer for life. My 2000 Suburban heater hose broke on Dec 31 as I was preparing for my New Year's family gathering. These guys are great, I have been coming here for years since I met Greg some time ago. Both Greg and Max are extremely friendly and will definitely go the EXTRA mile to make sure that their customer is well taken care of. In a word: Sublime! On our drive home from San Diego, the alternator in my car went out. AAA gets some credit here too because they suggested Blumer Auto Center and towed my car there. I had a very important appointment the next day 6 hours north of where my car broke down, so you can imagine my panic when I realized my husband and I might need to spend the night somewhere or make other arrangements. EVERYONE at Blumer saved the day: The lovely receptionist (Susie, I think) made us feel welcomed and cared for. She was engaging and efficient. The Manager was incredible. He diagnosed the situation immediately and the technicians worked seamlessly, courteously, and expertly to get me back on the road within a couple of hours of arriving at their shop. We made it home by 10pm and was able to attend my meeting the next day. The Manager even made sure I had wi-fi access, and Susie (I do hope I have the right name) made sure we were comfortable and had TV access and refreshments. Hospitality at its best! but wait! we were at an Auto Center. Truly amazing to feel like I was in a hotel with a concierge. Before I posted this review, I took a quick glance at the other comments, and all I can say is, the positive comments are PERFECT. Exactly what I experienced. Thanks to everyone at Blumer again !!! They charged me over $600 for used tires and one of the tires kept deflating everyday. I got upset at the garbage tires they sold me and they told me to calm down and then switched it out for another tire. 1 and a half years later all of the tires were dangerously low and I took it to Costco and paid another $600 to get new tires and they said the tires were put together with the wrong nuts that could have flown off at anytime. I was recently in a car accident. The back of my car had a lot of damage and I had trouble trying to coordinate with the other insurance company. A family friend referred me to Blumer Auto Center and one of the owners, named Greg, handled it all himself. Greg was incredibly helpful and responsive. He contacted the other insurance company, got me a rental car and had my car fixed in less than a week. My car was making a weird noise from under the hood and it started smelling like something was burning. I didn't want to take it to the dealer because I know they're ridiculously expensive but I didn't want to take it to just any auto repair shop either. They fixed my vehicle at a fraction of the cost and their customer service was fantastic. My vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle accident and someone had referred Blumer Auto Center to me. I contacted them right away and the representative (Greg) was very polite, informative and very accommodating. When I arrived at the auto center to turn in my vehicle. Again, the representative (Johnathan) was so polite and had all my paperwork ready to go. And the best part was there was a Hertz rental car at the same location which they had my rental vehicle ready to go. I received update calls from Blumer while my vehicle was being repaired and they assured me that everything was going as scheduled. They also made follow-up calls to the insurance company and I must say the entire process was so easy and comforting for me. When my vehicle was complete I received a courtesy call and they worked around my schedule in me picking it up from the auto center. Lastly, I was always asked if I had any questions or if I had any problems to give a call right away. I was scared to death to take my car anywhere but the dealership. The day came when I just didn't have the money to service my car, they quoted my next service (64,000 miles) $975 to Tune Up, new plugs, filters, and belts + oil change. I called Blumer and Greg set my mind at ease, so I made the appoint. I got the best service I've ever had through the whole experience. I dropped my car off and Denise took me back and forth to work. I was called by Greg with the estimate which was 1/3 of what I was previously quoted by dealership and in my budget. I'm STOKED that I have a new place to take my car locally, as I live and work in Pacoima!
