Honestly this by far is the best hookah place I have been to in Orange County. Super friendly staff with great customer service. I recommend getting the Apple head hookah since it burns slower than a regular bowl. They have fire pit tables to make you warm if you decide to sit outside so it's super convenient when it's colder outside. Definitely recommended. read more

I don't normally care to write reviews, but I just had to give Blu Fig a review. I work down the street and discovered this place on accident as I was turning into Weinerschnitzel for lunch one day. I saw the word "hookah" on their window display, and I had to stop by after work to check it out. I have been here almost everyday this week after work and each day the service has been so consistent. Everyone here has just been so nice and attentive to my needs. I come here to wait out traffic after work and study for the GRE exam, and they were so kind to even ask if there was anything they could do to make the environment better as I study (of course I said no because the music is good and I love the ambient noise). I haven't had a chance to try the food, but their hookahs are the bomb and the staff is so good. One of the owners, Faris, is genuinely a nice dude who takes the time to really get to know his customers. It feels really personal and homey here, which is something you won't experience at other hookah spots. I have really enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it to everyone! There is a reason this place only has 5-star reviews. And what a gift to have in sleepy 'close-at-9' Lake Forest. I have an unusual schedule and often arrive home hungry at around 11pm. Nothing open except In-And-Out right? Not anymore! This place is open until 2am ! And they have amazing panini sandwiches. Try the pastrami stack, sometime. The gelato is ridiculously good too. And adjacent to it is a really loungy hookah bar. I don't smoke hookah, but the vibe is nice and the music is awesome and not deafening. And the place is always crawling with drop-dead gorgeous Palestinian women. You know it's a good business when you roll in at midnight and can't even find a parking spot! And if you are craving a stiffer drink? Right next door (go in the back door of it) is Los Cabos Cantina. It's perfection. Very friendly owners and managers and clientele . The only place that's open till after midnight on Tuesday. Interesting place. We don't hookah but they had a separate room that you can sit and talk. The only suggestion I have is to make the non-hookah section as cool as the hookah section. The decorating in the hookah area is very cool. read more

Let me start off by saying that I have been smoking hookah for 5 years. I have been to lounges all over Southern California and Orange County. Blu Fig has to be my favorite lounge thus far. Everyone is very welcoming and energetic. The staff makes sure that your hookah is perfect and make you feel as if you are at home. Many lounges in Orange County provide good hookah but not such good service or vice versa. Blu Fig provides both and makes sure you leave satisfied. Amazing hookah bar! The hookah never gets harsh and the service is phenomenal. The owner himself will come and check on you to see if everything is perfect. I even tried the chai my first time and it tasted amazing and to top it off he asked if it needed to be remade with more or less sugar. Just recently came across this hidden gem located in Lake Forest. The cafe is exceptional, having tried everything on the menu including panini's, gelato, assorted coffees, and most recently added; homemade hummus. This place is flawless when it comes to service, they never hesitate to allow you to try the menu before ordering. The hookah side is equally as exceptional. Not only do they provide the newest in shisha, but the quality is second to none. The service is also well reflected on this side of the business. The staff, owners, and even regular customers welcome you with open arms and allow for an atmosphere that most businesses can only dream of. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you're a woman or a man with multiple women. The first time I came with multiple women and the service was outstanding. 5 stars hands down. The second time I came with my family (2 male cousins) and was treated worse than dirt. While waiting for a table, a group of young girls walked in was sat before us which was the first red flag. The service was terrible and they only catered to women and literally danced around the girl's table trying to make them all laugh. My family and I sat waiting for new coals while everybody else got theirs exchanged and when it came time for us the coal exchanger gave us a dirty look and walked right past us and catered to the next group. When I went to pay I still tried to be extremely nice but the man behind the counter (manager who was nice last time but rude this time) snagged my money out of my hand and slammed the drawer shut while giving me my change back. EVEN THEN, I told him nicely to keep the change (a few bucks and some change) he gave me the most horrendous look and threw the money into the tip jar as if he was disgusted with it.
