Bluefig is very impressive. The atmosphere is very upbeat and enjoyable. The hookah is phenomenal. It's like some straight arabs made the hookah. Mad respect. A hookah lounge with great service and even some gelato! I didn't get to try their gelato and I regret it. The seating was comfortable, and there were some cool murals to stare at while you smoke. However, this is one of those lounges that blasts music and has a more modern feel as opposed to a traditional one. The hookah was good and they were attentive to keeping it fresh and not harsh. It gets crowded quickly, so it's better to arrive earlier as opposed to later. If you enjoy the loud music, sit inside otherwise it is better (however, not as comfortable) to sit outside. read more

I keep hitting these guys on off nights. My friend, who wanted to try hookah for the first time at an official place, agreed to go with me and I took her to the nicer of the two options that were open in Lake Forest. I don't know why we stuck around for as long as we did, but it was the last straw. Never coming here again. It was crowded so they stuck my friend and I on a little plastic table on the far sidewalk - away from any of the heaters and apparently away from any of the employees. We waited 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge our existence. We ordered our hookah and waited for someone to leave their tables, and when no one did, we asked if we could move inside. They were more than happy to move us inside but they took the damn plastic table and chairs and stuck us right in the middle of the damn place so everyone could stare at the two random women sitting in the middle of all the chaos. Ugh whatever. They took us almost an hour and a half to get the hookah. At this point, we should have left but they offered us a free snack and they comped our ice tip. In reality, the things they comped us will never make up for the almost two hours we waited and will never get back. Thank you, but no thank you! read more

I needed to update this review. With the experience of today. I have been in there a handful of times in the last couple months and each time the experience is worse. It is lengthy, sorry, but I hope the guy who runs the place, sees this and makes some serious changes. This used to be my favorite spot and now I'm considering not returning for these reasons: The menus are filthy,sticky to touch, and just straight nasty. The menu is the first impression you get from a place and this isn't a good one. The deal for today was a panini, small gelato and premium hookah for $20. We really wanted to order two of the Wednesday specials but the guy didn't come back for a solid 30 mins and by that time we just want the check. The person who took our order didn't write anything down walked away and came back 10mins later to ask what we ordered. He brought part of it out and asked what else we had ordered. The next time he came back he still forgot a drink. They didn't have the gelato listed on their menu but had other flavors to choose from. So we were told to go next door and look at what they had. Bad call on that guys part because the place they serve food out of was just as disgusting as their menus. There was spilled coffee drying all over the counter and drink lids all over the place. It's no wonder they have an ant problem. They were all over the restroom and crawling on the wall behind the booths. The panini bread was stale and over all dry. We packed half of it away and when we lifted the sandwich ants were chillin under it. I was so disgusted and so glad I didn't eat a single bite. They had two people working and couldn't make it work. Maybe if the guy at the register would stop playing on his phone he could sit there and wipe down menus, run new coals out to people make sure hot coals are always available. The other guy could carry a note pad write orders down, run the food and wipe down counters in between all that. It's not difficult, if current staff can't handle it get new people because this will absolutely run this place out of business. I really hope they get it together. read more

Am so glad that I randomly came across this new hookah place. I really wanted a chill afternoon to start a new book and relax. I thought maybe a little hookah with my reading would be ideal. The staff at this place was extremely nice and accommodating. Since I came in the afternoon when it was not so busy they made sure that I had everything I need to read comfortably. I had a citrus mint hookah with an ice tip. The hookah was very smooth with great smoke. Exactly what I needed to catch up on some reading and relax. Thanks for the great visit! Visited from San Diego (1-1.5 hour drive) and wanted good hookah after having dinner. This place is a joke. The hookahs taste like burnt soap. I always smoke straight mint. I asked them if they could fix my hookah and then watched them take it to the back and not do anything about it. By far the BEST hookah I've had in Orange County! The service is great, the people are so sweet, and the hookah NEVER disappoints. I'm from the Anaheim hills/Yorba Linda area and I usually go to hidden in Anaheim hills or Starbuzz in Fullerton but ever since I've found out about this place, I drive the extra 25 minutes to enjoy Blufig's quality hookah. The hookah lounges near my house are simply mediocre and get harsh after just 10 minutes of smoking it. This place is truly one of a kind and I can without a doubt say that their hookah has never been harsh for me and I can smoke it for up to an hour without any problems. They honestly make sure that you are completely satisfied with what you ordered and if you have any questions or concerns, they are more than happy to take care of you. Blu Fig is the best hookah cafe in Orange County. The food is absolutely delicious, the hookah is always prepared perfectly, and the place is very comfortable. But most importantly, the customer service is spot on. They treat everyone with respect and love. They always make sure you are happy, you've got fresh coal, and they make you feel like family. I like closer to Anaheim, where there are many options for hookah. But I drive out of my way, an extra 30 minutes, just to go to this place. The seats are comfortable and the lighting is perfect. We were lucky enough to come on Saturday which they had a dj which played pretty much everything. The flavor on the hookah were amazing. Stumbled upon this gem yesterday for the first time. The name caught my eye and I was curious to see what was fun to do on a friday night in South OC! Turns out it's 2 cool places side by side that made for one great experience. The cafe: - menu is filled with delicious gelato/ panini/ dessert/ coffee/ appetizers and so much more. - Great for pre-partiers, after partiers, families, dinner, snack on the go, whatever! and... wait for it.. its opened until 2 am! I was so happy to find quality food at that hour :) Next door is the BluFig lounge, which is stylish, chique, and inviting you to have a good time. - The decor is on point! - The playlist was on fire! Loud enough to dance but not too loud where you can't hear the person next to you. - The atmosphere was welcoming. Everyone here was super friendly and attentive. - The Hookah tasted great with plenty of flavors to choose from. I choose the Pineapple Express which I recommend. - My favorite was the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. I tried the almond butter gelato tonight, its was pretty good. My boyfriend got the double chocolate and that was pretty good as well. About $9 for three scoops, I think that's a bit expensive since the scoops were in the smaller side. Next time I'll try a different flavor and the coffee. read more

I LOVEEEEE this place! I'm an adamant hookah smoker; so quality hookah goes a long way for me. The hookah at this lounge never let's me down. Flavor is always on point with thick clouds. The Panini's are to die for, as well as the bannana late!! Customer service here is on a whole other level! The manager Arya always makes sure my friends and I are always taken care of. Adam also always goes above and beyond to make sure that the hookahs taste well, and is always on top of the coals. Kudos to those two. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.
