When I explained that we had an emergency situation the park office gave me the name and number of the park owner and suggested I call him. Dennis Driver was absolutely wonderful. He said he had a site I could park in at a very reasonable rate. While I was in the hospital for several days Dennis and his staff went above and beyond to help my wife who knew very little about the RV or about things that I would normally take care of. I would recommend Hidden Lake Campground to anyone. While I myself spent little time in the park itself the level of concern and care exhibited puts them at par with any of the best RV parks in the country. Been here this is the second year and it's a family camp ground that I would recommend…read more One of the only complaints I have is people need to shut the lids on the trash dumpsters after they're thru especially with the amount of rain we've had since the water n the stink there's billions of these little black flies and mosquito's and this would b one way to help control this problem. They're around 20+ of these large trash dumpsters and and at least one lid is open on almost all of them drawing these insects.

Full hookup great value. Flat sites, likely the most level sites in the state. Did I mention great value and very accommodating. We had just shy of 70 units in our group and welcomed everyone. We did book in advance but the point I'm making is a lot of places won't talk to you about booking 1/2 of the camp ground. Super clean shower house, laundry takes quarters (bring your own).

They have a heated pool, dog park, playgrounds, basketball court, gazebo, fishing pond, volleyball court, putt golf course, rustic cabins, full hook ups, great camp store with souvenirs, sell great burning firewood, tent sites, activity center, and pull through sites as well. Only an hour 15 min away from the Indiania Dunes National Park. When I was in the camp store she was tell this small group of young girls to stick together and not separate from one another! It's so sweet that she even cares for your kids like she would her own. The lady behind the counter was so helpful, she gave us great suggestions for donuts which turned out to be totally right as to where to go for the best donuts. We…read moredon't have much experience with private campgrounds so keep that in mind when reading this review. So as we were setting up the camper a staff member came over and gave us bracelets to wear for the weekend. No problem. But we were the only people we saw all weekend with the blue bands on, lol. If you enjoy loud parades of country music blaring golf carts, this is the park for you. ALL weekend long. Now with that being said, once quiet time hit, it was in fact, quiet. I get the feeling this park is mostly seasonal campers and those that are not seasonal are probably frequent campers. There didn't seem to be much communication as far as those of us that are new to this campground. For instance, activities. We happened to spot a small note on a cork board in the office about Bingo. Had we not stopped in for another reason, we would never have seen this. Maybe add an activity board around the restrooms? That way others can learn about the activities if they have no reason to go to the camp store. Another example, there was a town parade for Memorial day. Maybe again, put something on the activities board about that? Not only to let families know there is a parade going by the campground but also to warn campers that if you need to get out, you will not be able to during certain times. I like that they are adding fun things to the park and oh, the water. Beautiful!! Believe it or not, it was unseasonably cold for the end of May. Too cold to get in the water, lol. We hauled our kayaks up here only to not be able to get in the water but that natural spring is what is going to bring us back. I gotta get in that water! Make sure to stop in the camp store about ask about the "treasures" buried underwater. Fascinating. The park was clean; the staff seamed nice. I started out this review with a 3 star but as I got to this point in my writing, I talked myself in to another star. But really, communication for activities is a big deal when camping- consider fixing that. We will 100% be back- just to kayak in the water is reason enough.

The private patio with a grill and fire pit had a view of the water. It was also impeccably clean. Being able to rent a golf cart made traveling around the resort with two kids a breeze. From the beach to the multiple playgrounds, we were able to get anywhere we needed. There are so many amenities as well. The spring fed lake is gorgeous. There is a kids swimming area and a deeper adult swimming area with a swimming mat and a floating dock. If lake swimming isn't for you, there is also a heated pool. We also used the Wibit (floating obstacle course), kayaks, and paddle boats. All the rentals were reasonably priced and were great additions to our stay. The camp store and cafe are great as well. We were able to grab pizza and ice cream during our stay. We will definitely be back.

We encountered so many issues on finding lots that will let you stay overnight. Most lots want you go shortly after home games. We love this lot because it's car & RV parking. If we have friends and family who are just coming for the game and driving separate they can park with us verses having to find a "car only" lot. Location is just a small walk to campus. Easy in and out during events. The gentleman who runs the lot is actually on site pretty much the entire time. The parking lot has it's own port-a-potty which is very clean and stocked with TP. You are parked with enough space to spread out with your tailgate gear, tables, grills and even an evening fire if you bring firewood. The lot owner usually calls to confirm a few days prior and is super accommodating! Highly recommend the Pendle Rd. lot if you need event parking for RV's or even cars while in South Bend.

Very cool sight. There were a lot of great trails including a mile long one around the buffalo area, as well as a fully paved bike trail that goes through the woods. It was a lovely ride. The bathrooms left something to be desired as usually 2/3 toilets were clogged and the hardware in general could use some renovation. There are private showers in the back restrooms which were a nice change but having to continuously hit the water button (and it pauses every time you hit it) was a different, not so pleasant experience. Overall, this was a decent campground, fairly busy. A lot of the large buildings were closed or intended for renting out. There was no nature center. There is a lake which offer paddle and other boats for rent. There is also parking for horse & buggies away from the RV sites. Outside of the horse & buggy and a summer camp area, we never found the primitive camp sites but we didn't exactly go looking for them either.
