Last summer, we did end up hiring Albert to fix a leak coming from our bathroom. He seemed very…read morenice on the phone and was very responsive into action. He diagnosed the leak to be coming from the shower pan. As a result, we paid him roughly $11k to completely redo the shower and also remove the shower block windows that appeared to be a secondary leak source discovered after. As we were dealing with the issue remotely, he sent plenty of progress photos and cleaned up after the project well. The problem initially seemed fixed. Unfortunately, the identical leak started again within a year, and we scheduled a date for him to check on the shower but he never made it. We rescheduled for another date but he also failed to show up for that and has ignored our messages to remediate the issue. The problem was either misdiagnosed or incorrectly remediated. Either way, we will have to find another contractor to fix what Albert didn't. Two stars rather than one as he was very pleasant and responsive during the initial project.

November 2025 update…read more Once again Citadel delivers professional, efficient, and valued electrical service. We needed three separate pieces (two pumps , and pool heater) equipment that none of which was grounded at all - safely grounded. We also had two timers and four dimmers installed. Citadel takes the cake!!! I called Citadel for an appt to put up an outdoor fan on my front porch. Quote $89 service fee and $100 install. ( Approx 1 hour work) Two young men showed up. Put the fan up in 45 minute. came outside the fan light was working, told them great job and tip them $20 dollar. Two hrs later realized they were still here. went outside, they were both sitting in lounge chairs reading the fan manual. Requested what was wrong. They stated fans broken can't get it to work, They took it down and box it up. I told them I would take it back to the store, buy a new one and give them a call when I get it. That night received an on line bill for $397 dollars and NO fan up. call Citadel office and got Mary. Explain the situation and I'd like to work out a solution. She said the boss would call me later. After several calls to Mary with no c/b from her boss on the 9th day I requested the bosses phone number. Mary said she could not give that out but I could leave an email on companies website. Boss called me back with in the hour. I explained the situation that occurred with his two workers and could we work something out. He stated he tracks his workers time and they were there for over 3 hour, so nothing he could do about the bill. I told him I didn't know I had to pay for his workers education on how to fix a supposedly broken fan. I asked since I picked up the new fan, I will pay the $397 billed but could you complete the job and put up the new fan. He stated No will have to charge you for that. I told him no thanks and I'll make sure you don't do business in my community again.

Two days later... after another company had already come out and quoted the job because I never heard back from Simoneaux's service person.... they finally called me at 8 pm the night before I was leaving.... asking if I was still interested. Lol... You know my answer. I am a VP of a large independent food processor... that has a background in procurement. There is no excuse for a service oriented company.... like a plumber... or like in this case.... an electrician... to keep a customer waiting for days. Usually jobs like this need to be addressed fairly quickly. They may do great work.... that I don't know.... because I could never get them to come take a look at my request.
