Best wedding band ever- you cannot go wrong. I chose BWK after hearing them play at a couple friends' weddings- me and my now husband realized that our favorite 3 weddings we had been to together had one thing in common: Bluewater Kings Band. Booking them was an easy process and then pretty hands off until closer to the actual date, which was really nice because you have so many things to think about in the interim. I was nervous about the phone call with Shai a couple of weeks out, because I felt really behind when it came to music and selections, but Shai made me feel totally at ease and jotted down notes of my vague likes and dislikes and reassured me she would take it from there. As I made important dance song selections, she was really easy to email with and I even asked if they could cut out the middle of a song for me and splice it together for my DJed first dance song and they made it happen. Bluewater Kings made our wedding what it was and it was pretty perfect. From the beginning by playing some music as guests walked in to find their seat, the MCing, Djing our first dance songs, to each and every song choice on the dance floor: they just nail it and set the tone for your event. They bring the energy and it is impossible for your guests to not be up dancing. They listened to our likes and dislikes and performed a better set list than I could have ever come up with myself. The icing on the cake was when they played a Taylor Swift song from her new album that I told them I liked as an idea for my "vibe", never expecting to hear it played by my wedding band just 1 month after its release, but it just shows you how they pay attention to things and want to make your night special for you. They customize every wedding for the bride and groom and their personal music preferences and tie it together with their expertise in what gets people up and moving. At the end of the night, I was on stage with my new husband and all the band members singing my heart out. Bluewater Kings Band is EVERYTHING and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you Shai and crew for making my wedding so amazing, truly. read more

My husband and I hired Bluewater Kings Band for our wedding. From the planning process to the day-of performances, everything was incredible. There was a string trio for the ceremony, a jazz trio for the cocktail hour and a 7-piece band plus DJ for our reception. Corbin, our producer, provided exceptional expertise and was an invaluable resource in making sure every detail for each performance was accounted for. He worked closely with our venue to ensure all tech and equipment needs were met. All band members we interacted with during our wedding were so kind and cordial. They were prompt in arriving to the venue for sound check and were quick and professional with setting up/loading out. The reception performances were fantastic. There were guests on the dance floor from start to the very last song. Switching between live sets and the DJ was seamless. Announcements made by the emcee were clear and non-disruptive. There was a lot of fun interaction between the performers, specifically the singers and the guests. All of our guests have been raving -- even weeks later --- about how AWESOME the band was. The ceremony performances were beautiful! I so appreciate the string trio for their talent and care in playing the specific songs for the wedding processional and my bridal entrance. The cocktail hour music really livened the atmosphere and set up the fun for the night ahead. We heard great things about Bluewater Kings Band, and they did not disappoint! Thank you to Corbin and all of the immensely talented musicians for making our wedding so much fun and memorable. read more

I attended a wedding 7 years ago and the band that the couple hired to play at their reception was unforgettable. They were so amazing that I made sure to ask the couple who they were, and jotted it down in my notes in hopes that one day when I got married I could hire them. Fast forward to 7 years later, my fiancé and I did just that. Blue Water Kings is a timeless, fun, and TALENTED band. The options to customize band size, music, and add ons are endless. We did the string trio for our ceremony, 7 piece band for the reception, and had a band member MC the night. What made the experience so special was that my now husband and I were able to choose pretty much every song that was performed. From the live music to the playlist for in between sets, Shay provided multiple song lists to choose from and gave us free range for our special playlist. The band even learned a song we requested that wasn't on the list! BWK made us feel so special. All night guests kept saying how much they loved the band, and I'm still getting sweet messages to this day about them. If you want EVERYONE at your wedding to have the best time, dancers or not, you have to book Blue Water Kings. There is a package to fit every need. Shay was amazing at communicating with us up until the very day. She answered all my questions timely and helped us when we needed it! Thanks BWK for making our day the best. Much love. -The Tungates read more

Bluewater Kings Band was INCREDIBLE! One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was hiring this band. From the initial inquiry to wedding day, they were so organized and attentive. They make the whole process very seamless. Their online planning page helps keep you on track during the planning process and the band members are so flexible. They were able to play anything we asked of them! They also sang all our dances (first dance and parent dances) live. The emcee the night of the wedding pronounced every person's name perfectly and helped the whole flow of the night. One of my favorite parts of Bluewater King's Band was their ability to play so many eras and genres of music. We requested such a variety from Irish hits, 2000 country, Green Day/Blink 182, to P!NK and Olivia Dean. They played it all! Every single wedding guest was raving about the band. They are so engaging with the crowd and the dance floor was never empty. It was a must for us to have a band at our wedding. We did a ton of research and kept coming back to Bluewater Kings Band. They exceeded all expectations and truly made the whole wedding reception. All the band members were so talented and curated the perfect playlist. 10/10 recommend booking them for you wedding! It is so worth it!! read more

Jessica was incredible throughout the planning process- she was organized, communicative, and thoughtful. She worked incredibly well with our day of coordinator, Jenny (check out Blue Moon Events), and our other vendors to ensure the whole day ran smoothly. She was also able to add al-a carte options that made a huge difference for our day including mics for the ceremony, speakers for cocktail hour, and even video services through a third party vendor that BWK works with (which were awesome)! We even requested that a small group of friends perform during a band break, and Jessica helped to make that dream a reality. On the day, the band was high energy and so much fun -- there's nothing like great live music! About a week and a half before our wedding, my fiance and I went through the set list BWK has on their website and chose our favorite songs (and a few we didn't care for) and they built a perfect and personalized set list around our preferences. The flow of the evening couldn't have been better! We are so glad we went with BWK for our wedding day, and highly recommend them to any couple looking for a wedding band! read more

Wow! Just wow! From the cellist and keyboard for the ceremony, to the sax and guitarist for the cocktail hour, to the INCREDIBLE 7-piece band at the reception, this Cincinnati band exceeded all our (high) expectations. First a special shout out to Jon for all his patience and organizational skills from booking to our final meeting a year later. He was patient with all my questions, efficient with the logistics and gracious in making changes along the way. The musicianship of the band members was palpable and we felt so lucky to have this live group at our daughter's wedding - and that is saying a lot from a family with several talented musicians all of whom were equally blown away. Nick handled the MC role perfectly, never over the top or being the focus, but ALWAYS on point and on time shepherding us through the evening. The band as a whole really capitalized on the energy of our guests and it wasn't long before everyone was on the dancefloor, which remained packed through the last song. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping our daughter and new son-in-law have the reception of their dreams! read more

We had a magical experience with the Bluewater Kings Band. It started out with Tony providing such a consultative approach - helping us understand what is right for us, our vision, and our venue. We live in Chicago and were getting married in Detroit. Tony let us know there was a showcase in Chicago where we could see the musicians play and get an idea of what we were getting into. It was such a fabulous start to the process. On the actual day of the wedding, they truly kept the party going. If they were playing, people were on the dance floor. Not only did the lead singer make my husband and I feel so special by bringing us up with him, he played to the audience and was working the crowd. It made everyone want to keep on dancing!! Execution to lead up - everything was top notch. If you are looking for a great band to play at your event, you HAVE to book these musicians. You will not regret it. Thank you Tony and crew for making our wedding so unbelievably special and unforgettable. I still have people messaging me about the band and how incredible they were!! read more

My wife and I had the Bluewater Kings perform for our ceremony(string trio), cocktail hour(jazz trio), and reception(7 member band). They added so much energy, excitement, and enthusiasm to each component on our wedding. We were impressed by the range of talents these musicians have and their ability to accommodate many different styles of music. Our guests loved that we had live music and we've received many compliments on our choice. The MC services correctly introduced our bridal party, fulfilled all our requests on how to start and stop the music for our special dances, and did a good job handling the bridal party speeches. We've been to others weddings where these type of requests were ignored by a DJ. The planning process for hiring the BKB is very streamlined and professional. We were in contact with a band coordinator (Karisa) months before our event who was very responsive and helpful We would strongly recommend the Bluewater Kings to anyone looking for an excellent wedding band read more

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Blue Water Kings Band! The process was extremely easy and after my planning call with them, I was confident everything would go perfectly - and it did! They are so talented and our guests absolutely L O V E D them. They DJed our ceremony, played a 4 piece band at cocktail hour, MCed/DJed dinner, and then a 7 piece band at reception. Everything was incredible. We were so impressed that our MC was also the lead singer (he was so good at both!!) They played an amazing range of songs and our dance floor was packed the entire night. We still have people going on and on about how fun it was to have a live band and how they couldn't leave the dance floor because it was so much fun. I also really appreciate they take into account your music preferences/"do not play" songs, etc. to make the experience exactly what you want. We could not be happier with our choice to go with Blue Water Kings!! read more

If you want your wedding to be a party, then for SURE hire the Bluewater Kings Band! We had such a great experience with their team from start to finish. My fiance and I knew from the beginning that we wanted a live band at our wedding reception. After an initial informational call, we decided to move forward and sign a contract for a six piece band. From this point we were provided a personal portal to list all of our musical requests including our favorite artists, songs we wanted the band to learn, and even a do-not-play list. The thoroughness truly paid off on the day of. The Bluewater Kings brought the PARTY! They read our crowd perfectly and ensured the dance floor was never empty. Their team played two longer sets during our reception and they cranked out hit after hit. They even accommodated a personalized performance from the father of the groom! We recommend them highly for your next event! read more

We had the BEST experience with Bluewater Kings Band from start to finish! Booking was so easy, with tons of options to customize--band size, instruments, and fun add-ons to make the night feel personal. We went with the 6-piece band and couldn't be happier with that choice. Communication was seamless the whole way through--Danny was always quick to respond and never left us hanging. On the big day, everything was absolutely perfect: the uplighting, the MC, the music, and the band's professionalism. They truly set the tone for an unforgettable celebration. One of the coolest things they offer (that we wish we had taken advantage of) is the chance to attend one of their local shows before your wedding to hear them live. Such a great touch! We highly, highly recommend Bluewater Kings Band to any couple looking for a wedding band that delivers above and beyond. read more

The entire experience was incredible. Jacy was so helpful in the pre-planning (before we signed a contract) and planning processes. She was responsive and honest in her assessment and guidance in helping us plan our event. Coordinating the day-of load in and load out was largely done ahead of time so was not a concern of ours and we could focus on our "I do's". At the reception, the band was out of this world. We had a 7-piece band and each member was fantastic. The range the band was able to cover over the course of the night engaged all guests and hit every one of our song requests. In the weeks since our wedding, we've had many friends commend us on our great band selection. Would recommend any size and grouping of the Bluewater Kings for those looking for an event to remember! read more

We booked the Bluewater Kings to play at my daughter's wedding ceremony, with some specific requests, including performance at an open air location with a unique 4 piece arrangement and several personally meaningful selections that required special scoring. The Band was unbelievably professional, remaining continuously available to help us plan in a manner that instilled our family with confidence as they tracked and accommodated each of our special requests. The musicans arrived promptly at the site and efficiently set up and confirmed all the cues so that the music seamlessly flowed with the ceremony. Their performance of the custom arranged pieces was so powerful and moving that it brought tears of joy to everyone in the room. read more

LOVED Blue Water Kings who played at my son's (and daughter in law) wedding!!! What a performance!! We first saw Blue Water Kings at a Showcase at the Cubby Bear. What sold me then was their horn section. The 3 horn players were excellent and played together seamlessly as if they had played together for a long time. The rest of the band was great as well!! We had 9 band members at the wedding: 7 musicians with the guitar also doubling as a singer, and 2 dedicated singers. They were all great (and of course the horn section was excellent!!!). You must at least check them out before deciding on your band. I strongly recommend getting 9 member with the 3 horns. Prices were pretty reasonable, relatively speaking. read more

I wish everyone could have Bluewater Kings Band at their wedding! They created the perfect vibe, even beyond what I had imagined. We had an 8-piece band (maybe 9!) and also used their lighting and DJ services, along with a 3-piece ensemble for cocktail hour. In hindsight, I would have added their videography services as well. Communication was always clear and quick, and they offer packages to suit everyone's needs. They're reasonably priced, and you DEFINITELY get more than your money's worth. The process for selecting the type of music was easy and straightforward, and the band was so hype! I loved every second, and they were truly the highlight of our wedding. read more

Bluewater Kings band was everything I had hoped for and more for our wedding! We had attended a wedding years ago where they played and knew we had to book them as well, they were one of the first vendors we booked! They made the planning process so easy and were extremely communicative the months (and days) leading up to our wedding. The evening of our wedding, the band was electric! Everyone was out on the dance floor and we received so many compliments on the live band. I could not be more thrilled to have had Bluewater Kings on our wedding day and would highly recommend them for anyone in the Cincinnati area! read more

Shai was great to work with when organizing everything leading up to the event and the band's performance at the wedding was absolutely perfect! We loved it and received so many compliments from our friends and family on how much they loved the band. Also, we really appreciated the band being flexible when we added in a DJ set from our friend and altered the timeline slightly. All the songs that the band learned for us were amazing and we had the best time during our private dance :) We would 100% recommend this band to anyone looking to keep their guests on the dance floor all night long! read more

After searching for a wedding band (learning the ins and outs of how booking through managers work) and many recommendations for Bluewater Kings Band, we reached out and received incredible service from beginning to our wedding day! The band was such a hit, we had so many compliments! They learned new songs for our first dances and knew exactly what we meant wanting music the older crowd and younger would enjoy! The dance floor was full almost the entire evening! And the best part- all of the money went to the musicians and not to a booking manager- something we really appreciated! read more
