Broken windows (by the siding workers), ripped out cable from slip shot work (no cable for a week, yea that was just great), poorly wrapped window siding that are falling apart still, and a list of other items that were/are a major fail. Topping that list was the unprofessional workers who felt it necessary to cat call the neighbors daughter repeatedly (a wife and mother), ignorance clearly runs ramped with who these people hire. My spouse and I were happy with the plans Austin talked with us about and his pricing was reasonable. We decided to sign with him. If you don't read any further, consider another business as Austin doesn't communicate well, he doesn't show up when he says he will, and he doesn't pay attention to detail in his work. First thing we noticed was his contracts were not very detailed. It just had material prices and labor prices. There were no red flags at this point as he assured us he wouldn't leave the job until we were satisfied. When he called to say the project was starting, he told us it would be about 3 weeks barring any weather. Once the patio was done by the company he contracted, we didn't hear from him for 10 days. (There was no rain during those 10 days.) When I finally reached out to him, he said he would be there the next day, but it ended up being 3 days after. 1st red flag. Then when he finally showed up, he brought a new crew of guys that had never built a deck before. I understand everyone has to start somewhere. They would show up at our house and sit around waiting for Austin to show anywhere between 9 and 10 AM. He had to teach them what to do and then let them go so he could start on another part of our deck. He didn't monitor them well and many mistakes were made. He and his crew usually started packing up around 3 and left by 3:30 most days. 9 weeks later, the project was "complete". However, we had a list of 29 things that needed fixed. We had talked about some of them with Austin as the project was in progress, but only a few were fixed at that time. Some examples of the problems were un-level stairs, different heights on the railing posts, diagonal drain spouts, textured ceiling panels going in different directions, shades not hung level, and a corner of our patio that was broken off. This does not include the sloppy job of paint/stain, caulking, and screws breaking through the composite. When he told us the project was complete, we still had 2 more things on the list. His crew broke one of our sprinklers and the corner of our fascia is so warped that it doesn't meet together. He assured us he would come back and complete that even though he wanted our last payment. We trusted that he was an honest contractor as he had "mostly" fixed our other problems, so we paid him. We are now 3 months out from the beginning of the project in June. For the past 30 days, I have contacted him multiple times, he has told me on 8 different occasions that he will be out to finish and that his sprinkler guy will fix the sprinkler. No one has shown.

He called back later that morning and said he could have someone out that day. Dave showed up and pretty much by himself took the chimney down. Another worker showed up and hauled it all away. Dave patched the roof where the chimney had come up through and shingled it and also put new brick in the wall where the pipe had come out to vent the stove. Another worker came and trimmed and painted under the eave and sealed the inside wall. I was impressed with the speed and quality of the job they did and will recommend them to anyone who needs work on their house done.

You see only a couple of reviews and roll the dice on a free estimate. It's fair. I mean like REALLY fair. The "other" guys with the wrapped vans and well known logos have given you estimates nearly double what Pastor Roofing gave me. So I roll the dice. I'll be honest, the communication wasn't great...but who needs constant contact anyway-that's just annoying. And I didn't get a written estimate...just a verbal one. (Again, that voice that says, "Umm, is this really ok?"). The day before they are schedule to show up I get a final notice for the labor. I am told that I will reimburse the cost of supplies and they will show me a receipt. All seems fair. Let me tell you...they are worth every penny they charge. The siding was done perfectly. the fascia they replaced was done perfectly...weird angles and all. Plus they found frame rot and repaired that for only an additional $150. Top notch workmanship!!! Excellence all around. We will be hiring them before Winter to replace some windows as well! (And the nextdoor neighbor had hired them for their siding repairs too!)
