We were staying at the hotel and decided to just eat here on our arrival day after many hours of driving. I made an Open Table reservation; the bar was full, and the seated areas were nearly full. There was a conference going on so there were a few large tables. The food took a long time to come out, and our server, while very nice, seemed frazzled. The place is certainly understaffed. When our food finally did come out (over 30 minutes just for the salad) we did enjoy it. The entire Marriott is having air conditioning issues and it was quite warm in the place. This is a once and done kind of place for us.

This restaurant is located inside of the Marriott, and the ambience itself is very beautiful. We came here late because we were on the road for much longer than we expected. My partner ordered the ribeye, and I had the filet mignon, both of them ordered medium rare. The service itself was very dismissive, non welcoming, and we weren't even greeted when we first came up. The food took about 20 minutes to get and we decided to take it up to out room. It was extremely disappointing. The ribeye was completely well done and some parts weren't even edible. It also had a weird after taste. The potatoes it came with were lying in a pool of oil, so it was very greasy. The filet was closer to MR but was one of the least tender filets I've had. The sauce on the filet did help with the flavor and I enjoyed that. The filet came with green beans, of which, some were basically raw still and other were over done. It also came with potatoes, that were just boiled with no seasoning or flavor at all. Given the price of the food, filet is 55, ribeye is 65, you expect a lot more. That, coupled with the service, I wouldn't waste your time unless it's something quick and easy for you to grab.

Let me just say wow wow wow!!! We are staying on property and have eaten here both nights we've stayed and couldn't be more happy! After a long day of touring around Bourbon country and having some amazing meals it's nice to be able to come back and relax and just head downstairs to eat. The chef at this restaurant is top notch! Everything we have tasted from the super fresh butternut squash soup, roasted beet salad and grilled Caesar salad to the steak sandwich and brisket sandwich to the fries! Everything is fresh, perfectly prepared and looks like it's from a 5 star restaurant! I could not recommend a place more highly. The prices are also reasonable and the staff has all been so friendly and helpful! Our bartender Lauren has been amazing!!! We've had her both night and she's fun to chat with and has had some great recommendations for drinks and also things to do around the area. Can't wait for dinner there again tonight!!!

First time at Bluegrass Bistro for Sunday brunch we sat outside on the patio, but they also had indoor seating with an outside Breeze. Food was amazing, portion size was perfect and pricing just right. The staff was super friendly the GM even came over twice to make sure we were satisfied. This will be the spot for summer for sure!!

Dining at Bluegrass Bistro was an experience I would recommend to anyone. I have visited for both dinner and brunch and was not disappointed by either. The food was unique and delicious. The atmosphere created by the live music and scenery was serene. I hope to visit this gem again next time I'm in the area!

I had a salad and the lettuce was fresh and crisp. Dressing was or tasted like homemade.

We stumbled upon Sidebar Grill while walking to downtown and based on the amount of people packed inside decided to give it a try. The only seats left were at the bar, which was fine with us, so we seated ourselves and ordered some beers. The bar tender and cook were super talkative and fun. While it took a while for us to get our food, we didn't care. We really enjoyed our time sitting there, making conversation, and watching the cook to his work. If you are in Lexington, I would recommend visiting this unassuming place, even if it's just for a drink. The staff is funny and down-to-earth, the food is really good, and the prices are nice compared to other dining options downtown. My only work of advice is, do not be the person to order chicken tenders and hold up everyone's dinner.

I wish I lived closer because I would be here all the time. I wish I had gotten the steak that is also grilled. In addition to the great food the service was impeccable! Favor is the passion project of chef Wyatt Sarbacker and features a small rotating menu. While the burgers and empanadas are always on the menu, other items change seasonally or according to availability. Wyatt prides himself and Favor on using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients and building an eco friendly, environmentally sustainable culinary experience. The space is intimate, mostly counter seating aside from one large community dining table in the adjoining room, but it's bright and welcoming. The kitchen is completely open and you can see everything Wyatt is doing as he prepares your meal. And this is an impressive one man show! It amazed us how Wyatt made it look easy (though I'm sure it's not). He was preparing multiple dishes from multiple orders simultaneously and delivered them promptly at a great pace that allowed us to enjoy each dish without feeling hurried. We ate almost every dish on the menu. Dish sizes vary, some small, some larger, but it worked out wonderfully that there were three of us, as we could eat in a tapas style, sharing all of the tasty foods. The empanadas were first, and come with a rotating sauce accompaniment. They were soft and hot, and the filling was delicious. I can't remember the filling, but I remember black beans were involved, and it was actually one of my favorite dishes. Such a compact, juicy, savory bite. We also had the lion's mane mushroom, made with pea shoots, lemon, and creole mustard. This is a mushroom served like a crab cake. You could really taste the earthy mushroom flavor and the creole mustard was the perfect addition. We also had the crispy Brussels, made with shishito peppers, onion, and maple miso dressing. Wyatt did Brussels sprouts incredibly well. Often you go to a place and they are burnt or charred and have that taste. These were cooked to perfection and had a smoky, yet sweet taste. And who could resist a giant plate of fries? These fries are fresh cut potatoes and my dinner companion compared them to the famous "Five Guys" fries that everyone raves about. The true star here is the curry ketchup. No ordinary ketchup, this thrills the tastebuds. We were excited to hear that Wyatt will hopefully be releasing some of his own sauces soon. We also had the cheeseburger, which is a smashburger. I have complained about the smashburger trend endlessly, as I tend to like a thick, medium burger. But this burger was VERY good. Melted with cheese, on his HOMEMADE buns, this one gets a pass as "one of the good ones." We finished up with chocolate chunk cookies, which were served hot with ooey gooey melted chocolate chips. Made with rye flower and bittersweet chocolate, as well as cranberries, poppyseeds, and sea salt, this cookie had such a unique savory flavor. The more we tasted them, the more we loved them. I'm not a "sweets" type of person, so this type of cookie is ideal for me. I wish I could have bought a dozen to take home to my husband. You can get cocktails from arcadium, right by the restaurant, which I've reviewed previously. They make light refreshing daiquiris and gin gimlets, which is what we ordered. My companion liked their old fashioned. Prices for Flavor are insanely well priced. Despite this experiencing being worth so much more, prices range from sub-ten dollars to 18 dollars. Wyatt was warm and welcoming and interesting. We had an amazing evening and have already discussed when we would come back, who we would bring, or whether we might have next year's birthday bash there as a private event. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening, Wyatt, I am glad I finally figured out the reservation system!
