Although we decided not to move just yet, we started the clean out process in preparation for when we do. Simplified Solutions to the rescue! Our homework was to tag items to keep, donate or trash, then we were sent on our way so the team could do their job. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed they could organize almost my entire basement in two days! I can't say enough good things about our experience with Debbie and the SS team. They were professional, pleasant, efficient and organized. When we move, they will be with us to keep me (us) calm, keep things moving and keep us organized.

I want to preface this review with the note that Debbie and her team were very nice, but found the…read moreservice to fall way below expectations. Overall, there was a lack of attention to detail I've experienced working with other organizers. She went way over budget (I ended up paying $3k, over 3x the original quote), without any communication or discussion around going over budget. She and her team arrived late on both days (over an hour on the first day), moved incredibly slowly (it took them 20+ minutes to get a duvet cover on a comforter, it takes me about 2), and left food trash and coffee cups behind both days. The way they organized my closet, they folded things so sloppily, I ended up refolding everything myself. There was a lack of care about what they were doing. Debbie offered me a small discount after day 1 as a result of my disappointment but ultimately cannot in good faith recommend her business having experienced the work of other organizers for a much better quality and lower price. Do not recommend.

Outstanding and professional service!!…read more I have been working with Jocelyn and the team from Moving Forward Services on several occasions. First, in 2022 for a declutter and organization project. Second, in 2023 with help getting organized before and after a move. Then in 2024 with help maintaining and most recently in 2026. They are experts and very knowlegeable at what they're doing and really help with creating pratical organization systems centered around individual client needs. For me, I buy things and put them anywhere and tell myself I'll put it away later. Then buying the same or similar things all over again and forgetting what I already have, thus creating clutter, stress and wasted time trying to find things. Jocelyn takes everything out, groups them by category and helps you take inventory to figure out what to toss, keep, donate or sell. I am more aware of my shopping habits now. And once things are in their proper place, you just feel so much better overall! No more spending unnecessary time trying to figure out where things are. It helps with peace of mind which is an added benefit. I highly recommend Jocelyn and the Moving Forward Sercices Team for decluttering, reducing, figuring out what to keep, donate or sell online, organization, moving projects, as well as maintainenance for those systems.

I called in Jocelyn and Moving Forward to help me declutter and organize the closet. Jocelyn did an amazing job! She emptied the closet and we reviewed all the random items I had gathered over the years. I found clothes and shoes I had not seen in years and forgot I owned. Jocelyn helped me discard items and determine which we could sell or donate. Jocelyn categorized and labeled the remaining items that I had previously stored in the closet in attractive bins. Now, I can store and find all these items quickly and easily. Now, my clothes are organized by occasion and season; so easy to find and mix and match, with coordinating shoes. What a time-saver! Jocelyn was a pleasure and a delight to work with. She was supportive as I decided what to keep or discard. She was kind and patient but efficient in moving the process along. Jocelyn made what I feared would be a daunting project simple and easy to get done. I highly recommend Jocelyn and Moving Forward. I can't wait to start my next project with Moving Forward . . . the basement!

As a result, I had piles of things everywhere. Containers and cooking implements would topple over and onto my head constantly. Drawers were overflowing with clothes. This was not a cute look. The task: Create storage solutions that look nice and allow me to cook frequently with ease and live comfortably--maybe even entertain occasionally!--within this 400 square foot home. Enter Amy: Miracle worker! Amy has always been able to translate my incoherent ideas and goals into beautiful, streamlined solutions. She is attentive and asks all the right questions to ensure that what we're implementing fits my lifestyle and quirks. When I whine that I have no idea how to organize the door of my fridge and could she please come help me, she does so without complaint or judgment. [insert heart emoji - Yelp wouldn't let me add it] The result: I now have a beautifully minimalist, airy small home that feels plenty spacious and peaceful to me. I can cook with ease; everything is within reach and tidy. In addition, Amy helped me select some design elements that make the space look pretty, cozy, and lived in. AND! With a few spare minutes after one session, she even helped me organize my gmail, which had been causing me dread and overwhelm. Now my inbox is tidy and actionable! I feel like a grown-up. 10/10 would recommend. Amy is talented, professional, and well worth the investment. The services she provides are priceless and have improved my life, productivity, and emotional wellbeing immeasurably. Thank you, Amy!

My husband was home to unpack other rooms and would answer some of her questions, but she would text throughout the day to get my input on things as well. She created a very functional coffee station; an easy-to-use spice cabinet separating the sweet spices, savory spices, and spice mixes; and got a little turntable to put next to the stove with the four items we use the most while cooking. My favorite part about working with Amy is how she did a walk-through when she was done and explained her thought process so that we can stay organized on our own. This is the first time in my life I haven't dreaded unloading the dishwasher or unpacking groceries. I actually enjoy cleaning up the kitchen almost as much as cooking in it.
